LOW CUT CONNIE is a rock and roll band based in Philadelphia and formed in 2010. The band has been recognized by various media in the US for their records and high-energy live show, of which the L.A. Weekly recently said "Their ferocious live show...is unmatched in all of rock right now." Frontman Adam Weiner plays a piano named "Shondra," after a dancer at the Clermont Lounge in Atlanta.
Before the release of "Hi Honey", Finnemore moved back to the UK, and eventually, in spring 2016, the band continued without him. In May 2016, Weiner and the band began an album titled "Dirty Pictures (Part 1)" for release in 2017 in two parts. It was released on May 19, 2017 by Contender Records.

Sign with the devil is something that THE PRETTY RECKLESS are taking to the crossroads. The band has just released a new single/video called “Take Me Down” from their forthcoming third studio album "Who You Selling For", set to be released October 21, 2016.
THE PRETTY RECKLESS was originally named THE RECKLESS and was formed in early 2009, with Taylor Momsen in the vocals, Ben Phillips in lead guitar, Mark Damon in bass and Jamie Perkins in drums.
The "Take Me Down" video, shot by Meiert Avis, sees frontwoman Taylor Momsen and the band at Water Music Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey, where the album was recorded. Avis has directed videos for artists such as BOB DYLAN, IGGY POP, U2 and AVRIL LAVIGNE, among many others throughout his illustrious career, spanning over four decades.
The video, shot in black and white with subtle glimpses of red, shows Momsen in top form with her voice as powerful as ever. The '60s-tinged rock guitar and Taylor's soulful, smoky delivery makes "Take Me Down" a complete, blistering track that further cements the band at the forefront of rock.

BASK are a young band from North Carolina that play a highly original blend of Americana, country, post-rock and stoner/doom metal. "American Hollow" is the band’s debut on The Path Less Traveled Records and I can say that this is great stuff. An energetic album with some half-time shuffles that breaks into a pretty straight-forward stoner rock groove, similar to some of the less aggressive tunes by RED FANG.
The vocals have a great twang with a distinctly country vibe, odd but it works. The lads have a great feeling in the musicianship jangly and swiftly guitars slings, big fat drums and a rumbly bass in a melancholy country-like vibe.

Boston based GOZU have released a brand new album "Revival" where we going to get a taste from with the new single/video "Nature Boy".
At their core, GOZU is a bad ass American rock band. They’ve got heavy riffs in tow and bang out tunes loud enough to piss off the neighbors. GOZU is a songwriting machine, one that is able to churn out loud, hard hitting compositions without sacrificing the meaning behind the songs or the band. Gruff and dirty when it needs to be just as it’s swift and soulful when the time is right.
GOZU first appeared on the scene in 2009 with the release of their seven track EP. Consisting of members of bands such as WARGASM and CLOUDS.
After a line-up change which brought on board bassist Jay Cannava of Miltown and Clouds infamy, GOZU continues to chug along at its own pace. Small Stone Records snapped up GOZU in 2009 and they released their critically acclaimed album “Locust Season.” GOZU spent the next year touring the Northeast with bands like ST. VITUS, PALLBEARER, FU MANCHU, HELMET, ELDER, LO PAN among others.
Following the success of Locust Season in 2010, GOZU returned to Mad Oak Studios and The Bridge Sound and Stage in 2013 to record their second full length album “The Fury of a Patient Man.” 2014 the band added Warhorse (Southern Lord) drummer Mike Hubbard to the mix. With the key members in tact, GOZU embarked ontheir first European tour playing the Holy Grail of festivals Roadburn and Dessert Fest with CHURCH OF MISERY and KVELERTAK.
In 2015, Gozu headed into Wild Arctic studio and recorded their third album. However, it is their first album on their new label, Ripple Music.
With a new label and a new album, only great things lie ahead for this juggernaut ensemble built on the foundation of pure rock, soul, and metal.

Revolution Radio is the upcoming twelfth studio album by American punk rock band GREEN DAY, due for release on October 7, 2016 through Reprise Records. The lead single and today's tune "Bang Bang", premiered on August 11, 2016. It is the first album since 21st Century Breakdown (2009) to be recorded as a trio after Jason White returned to being a touring member in 2016.
Work on the album began in January 2016 after a two-year break, following the release of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! in 2012.
After stating that their previous trilogy of albums had "absolutely no direction to them" and attempted to be "prolific for the sake of it," lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong claims that their new record is "not so much a makeover as a make under." The lead single, "Bang Bang," described by Armstrong is about "the culture of mass shooting that happens in America mixed with narcissistic social media." Armstrong also stated that the whole album is meant to reflect the current state of violence in the United States.

"Show Me a Leader" is a song written and performed by ALTER BRIDGE, released as the lead single from the band's fifth album, "The Last Hero". It was made available as a digital download on July 26, 2016, by Napalm Records, the band's first release on the label, except in the United States, where it was released by Alter Bridge Recordings via Caroline Records. The song's music video was released online on August 31, 2016.
According to singer Myles Kennedy, "Lyrically, the song reflects the frustrations that a lot of people are feeling with the current state of the world. The world is looking for trustworthy effective leadership and not this undignified dog and pony show that's really made a mockery of our system." He claims that the song "doesn't push an agenda; it simply expresses a very common sense of disillusionment people seem to be feeling at this point in time." Regarding the song's musical composition, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti said that Kennedy originally came up with the song's intro, and a part he had been working on himself became the chorus. It is also ALTER BRIDGEs first time using 7 string guitars on a record. The song, like the rest of the album, was produced by Michael Baskette, who has worked with ALTER BRIDGE since its 2007 album Blackbird.

Savannah, Georgia progressive metal outfit BARONESS have served a new tune "Chlorine and Wine", the first taste of their upcoming fourth album "Purple" set for release on December 18th. It's BARONESS first new music in three years, the releases is via their recently formed label, Abraxan Hymns.
Purple also marks BARONESS first album with new bassist/keyboardist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson. The pair replaced Matt Maggioni and Allen Blickle, respectively, both of whom departed the band after sustaining serious injuries in a 2012 bus accident that left nine injured.

We’re at the end of a two week tour in Europe, our longest break from touring since we started the band in 2003. It’s been really great to get back onstage; this past week has felt like a sort of homecoming. We’ve been down in a basement for the past two years, shivering and/or sweating out a new record. It’s an understatement to say that we are proud of the result, and we cannot wait for its release, so that we can finally begin to play these songs on tour for our audience.
It has taken three years to rebuild, restrengthen and reforge Baroness into a new form; and while the wait was grueling at times, it’s already been worthwhile. We needed to write an album that would push us forward, reinvigorate our creativity, and offer a further challenge for ourselves and our fans alike. We needed to write something exciting. We really set ourselves to task to trim fat, write better songs, and speak with a more direct and unique voice through our music.
We have never been nor will we ever be interested in following trends, adhering to stylistic rules or fitting securely in any format. Our goal is to write, record, and perform music that excites us. If we can get amped up and feel these songs in earnest, then we believe that you can too. Purple is the recorded experience of Baroness piecing ourselves back together in order to become something more than we had ever imagined we could be. In short, we are thrilled. We have never been as uniformly psyched-up by a record of ours as we are today. You will be hearing much more from us soon. ’Til the wheels fall off…

The Color Before the Sun is the eighth studio album by progressive rock band COHEED AND CAMBRIA. The band released a live acoustic version of "Atlas" in August 2014, and announced a release date of October 9 in July of the following year. The first single was "You Got Spirit, Kid", released in July 2015. It is the first non-conceptual album the band has released, making it the only COHEED AND CAMBRIA album to not be a part of The Amory Wars storyline
COHEED AND CAMBRIA formed in 1995 in Nyack, New York.
The band consists of Claudio Sanchez (lead vocals, guitar), Travis Stever (guitar, backing vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, keyboards), and Zach Cooper (bass). The group's music incorporates aspects of progressive rock, pop, heavy metal, and post-hardcore.
Most of COHEED AND CAMBRIAs albums are concept albums based on a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series written by Claudio Sanchez, which has been transcribed into a series of comic books as well as a full-length novel. The band has released seven studio albums, three live albums, and several special-edition releases. Their upcoming eighth studio album, The Color Before the Sun, will be the band's first non-conceptual album since their inception.
Fans of COHEED AND CAMBRIA call themselves "Children of the Fence", in reference to the fictional galaxy within The Amory Wars known as "Heaven's Fence".

Phillip Walker (February 11, 1937 – July 22, 2010) was an American electric blues guitarist, most noted for his 1959 hit single, "Hello My Darling", produced by J. R. Fulbright. Although Walker continued playing throughout his life, he recorded more sparsely.
Phillip was the seventh of twelve children of Malvin and Viola Weber Walker, sharecroppers who were married at ages 14 and 13 and began raising a family when they were only children themselves. Malvin was a smart hardworking farmer who always managed, somehow, to keep a roof over the heads of his family. Malvin could fix anything, and Phillip seems to have followed in his dad's footsteps with a mechanical aptitude nothing short of amazing. When Phillip was 8 years old his family moved to Port Arthur, Texas. It is this combination of Louisiana Creole, French, and Indian (his mother’s mother was full-blooded Cherokee), and Texas western gunslinger that combines to prod Phillip’s unique speech patterns, accent and dialect. His mother spoke in the French Creole dialect (Cajun) of the area.
Things went smoothly in Port Arthur for a while, but by the time he was 12 years old, his father’s health had begun to fail and the biggest and strongest boys were expected to get the crops in. From that time, as happened in so many poor families, attendance at school became sporadic, and Phillip’s formal education was essentially finished. Phillip’s uncles, (his mother’s five brothers, including Uncle Phillip Weber), all played in bands in the 20’s and 30’s and often came around and played guitar; musicianship runs in the family. Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown is a second cousin. [For the record, Aaron “T-Bone” Walker, who also had a full-blooded Cherokee grandmother does not appear to be related to Phillip, though it has been documented otherwise in quite a few places and there is some question.] Phillip became interested in music at a young age. Not being able to afford a guitar of his own (his work in the fields earned no cash), Phillip constructed his first instrument from a cigar box, using the thinnest wire he could find (carefully and secretly removed from the family’s window screens) for strings. He had a natural ear and a God-given musical talent, and became very good quite early. He spent every spare minute, when he wasn’t working in the fields or helping herd or brand cattle, learning his instrument. He would play softly into the middle of the night, and to this day rarely sleeps more than 5 hours at a stretch.
Musically, Mr. Walker is an innovator. He breaks the rules. He makes it work. And what he brings to the places he goes is an All-American zest for life, evident at all times in his "up close and personal" music. Phillip seems to also contradict the rules in that his live performances are every bit as good as his recordings, if not better! Infused by the energy of the crowds he draws, he and his band create an environment with their music where people just can't help getting up and dancing their blues away. When questioned by the blues traditionalists as to how his music can be called "blues," Walker most often responds: "Why not?"

Sālems Lott is an American Shock Metal band formed in Hollywood, California. They are known for their high-energy, explosive riffing and excessively violent stage performances that got them thrown out of some infamous Hollywood clubs. The band utilizes psycho theater and Hi-tech musicianship that involves a chainsaw sacrifice, upside down guitar solos and backwards drumming.

New week, time to crown the "Record Of The Week". A really hard week of jobs has passed and a new crazy week is coming. Order to cope with this, some utter deathgrind that tears out a part of your brain that you can never reclaim.
Record Of The Week is "The Killing Gods", the fifth studio album by American deathgrind band MISERY INDEX. It was released on May 23, 2014, by Season of Mist. The first five tracks of the album are all part of one collective song called "Faust".
Adrien Begrand wrote for Decibel that Misery Index's "hybrid of death metal and grindcore hasn't lost a step at all". He praised the album's "taut and aggressive" music, along with its "clever use of melody" and Jason Netherton's "commanding vocals". Bradley Zorgdrager of Exclaim! said that Misery Index have "focused their craft", and found that the band "proudly embraces" melody on this album. He described the album as "unrelentingly fast, unabashedly heavy and unequivocally the best album yet from an already great band." Sammi Chichester of Revolver described how, during the opening suite of songs, Misery Index "split their blast beats with emotionally-driven breakdowns and melodic guitar solos". She also said the album "might initially irk diehards, but should ultimately leave them far from miserable".
That it took four years to create a new album is too long for a band capable of producing such consistent and exciting material. The album is an intense, expansive and loud. It's filled up with enough blasting to counteract the crunching grooves in a brilliant way to make this a hugely satisfying record. It will rape your ears like nothing they have accomplished before in their career.
To make a short summery: The Killing Gods is an essential purchase for all death/grind fans of all ages.
Misery Index is an American deathgrind band formed in 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, by Jason Netherton on vocals and bass guitar, Mike Harrison on vocals and guitar, and Kevin Talley on drums. From 2006–2010, its line-up consisted of Netherton on vocals and bass guitar, Sparky Voyles on guitar, Mark Kloeppel on vocals and guitar, and Adam Jarvis on drums. In 2010, Voyles left the band and was replaced by Darin Morris.

BandMaster Ruckus is a 3 piece rock band from Red Bluff CA, whose musical styles consist of blues rock, rock and roll, along with funk and hard rock.
A very nice discovery, I must say. I like what I hear, great Blues-rock that is unadorned, simple and ingenious.
Their influences are Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Jack White (White Stripe), Jimi Hendrix and Iggy Pop and the Stooges, something that you can hear, as the influences pervades the music pretty clearly, but that is something they manage in a rather sensible way.
