In SLAYERs song "You Against You" vocalist Tom Araya screams "Your perfect world is ending this day, So what? I wouldn't have it any other way." And so, from the very first frame of the band's "You Against You" music video, the gore, the violence, the projectile-blood-spewing and the carnage begins and just never ends.
"You Against You" is the prequel to "Repentless," Slayer's brutal 2015 video filmed at an L.A. prison that has logged nearly 7.5 million YouTube views. Like "Repentless," "You Against You" was directed by BJ McDonnell, stars Jason Trost "(Hatchet III") as Wyatt, the eyepatched rebel inmate, and tells the story of the circumstances that led to Wyatt's erroneous arrest and imprisonment.
SLAYERs performance of "You Against You" was shot deep in the heart of California's Mojave desert earlier this year in a graveyard of jets, airliners, and helicopters.
“After the ‘Repentless’ video,” said Slayer’s Tom Araya, “BJ delivers with ‘You Against You.’ Fucking awesome!!!”
Today's tune "You Against You" is taken from the 12th studio album "Repentless".

MONOMYTH, unleashed from The Netherlands, is the hero’s journey; An epic journey with an unknown conclusion. The five who explore and expand the boundaries of their own musical universe. Firmly rooted in Space, Trance and Krautrock, the band leans heavily on a solid foundation of drums and bass guitar, while adding guitar, keyboards and textures layer upon layer. MONOMYTH will drag you inside their cosmic playground. Enter an arena where there is no more time or space, simply the vacuum in which communication is operated on a higher level. You can enter in two ways . . . simply by closing your eyes and letting the instrumental music transport you, or with eyes wide open as you descend into the mind staggering light show.
MONOMYTH stands for “thrilling instrumental soundscapes”, a rollercoaster ride in which the listener can lose themselves. It is the sound of five people searching for their musical boundaries and then moving beyond them. Monomyth transports you to another world, a place that feels both new and familiar. In the ranks, we find five people from different creative and musical backgrounds. MONOMYTHs music is a complete experience, a collective statement by five like-minded identities.
The MONOMYTH sound contains all the ingredients of rock & roll, but in a totally unique way. The band wants to draw their audience into a trance, caused by shifting patterns, repetitions and drones. The result is a stirring brew with links to PINK FLOYD, HAWKIND and TOOL, but with the innovative force of modern techno and ambient. It is rock you can dance to and lose yourself in. The journey and the adventure are always centre stage. With their expressive sound, the music by this collective would not be out of place in a psychedelic road movie.
Today's tune "LHC" is taken from latest album Exo, was released in Europe on 18-03-2016 via Suburban Records.

The Norwegian sextet KVELERTAK is back with a new tune "1985" taken from the upcoming album "Nattesferd", out 5/13.
KVELERTAK music is rooted d-beat and black metal, with alot of punkish attitude, but with the new tune "1985" it draws more from the classic old school hard rock like THIN LIZZY and AC/DC than DISCHARGE or DARKTHRONE. Sounds interesting, looking forward to hear the new album.
Today's tune "1985", taken from the album, Nattesferd - available for pre-order April 8 on Roadrunner Records.
According to a statement from the band, the song’s title refers to a setting much more ominous than the tone implied in the music:
Think of George Orwell’s 1984 instead of Taylor Swift’s 1989. Its lyrics depict a cold and (not so) distant future where technology and surveillance have erased all forms of individuality and critical thinking. Needless to say, everything was better before — can somebody hit the rewind button already?
This coming April the band will embark on a month long tour together with TORCHE, MUTOID MAN and WILD THRONE.

"Hidden City" is the tenth studio album by the The British gothic rockers THE CULT. "Hidden City" was released on February 5, 2016. It will be the final part of a trilogy that began with "Born into This" (2007) and the second was "Choice of Weapon" (2012) and the band's first album with bassist Grant Fitzpatrick, making it THE CULTs first album since their 1994 self-titled album not to feature Chris Wyse. It also marks the fifth time Bob Rock had produced a CULT album.
"Hidden City" is like the Atlantis island, an forgotten gem, lost in the ocean. The album has an incredible joy that should be virtually blown away by now, over three decades have passed and "Hidden City" climbs up to one of top 3 CULT albums in my opinion. This album have a great confident and artistically musicality that blows me away! Is this the same band that I loved in my youth?
First tune on the record "Dark Energy", an excellent choice for the first track. Drummer John Tempesta's tom toms starts with a tripping tribal drum beat until Duffy's guitars sneaks up in the right speaker before it gets in stereo, his post-gothic-electric riffs is recognized in seconds and hit's you like a stone brick, before Astbury enters the stage with his charismatic vocals. The album sparkles and turns both here and there, tunes like "No Love Lost", "Dance The Night", "Hinderland", "Deeply Ordered Chaos" goes more in the typical classic CULT manner while tunes like "G O A T" is pretty busy, dirty and far out and the slow and beauty "In Blood" and "Birds of Paradise". "Avalanche of Light" have a nice vocal melody part as well as "Lilies". The driving beat of "Heathens" and the ballad "Sound and Fury" ends the record, where the last tune allows Astbury to be standing a few meters in front of the band and sing with his hole soul.
Summery: "Hidden City" is done with a great confident along with excellent musicians, it's a great piece of work!
Today's tune is with THE CULT that performs "Dark Energy" at Pacific Beat Recordings in San Diego, California at a 91X X-session.
Sunday, time for a classic.
"Down that Dusty 3rd World Road" is a tune taken from the 4th studio album "Riskin' It All" from Danish rock band D-A-D. The album was released on October 10, 1991.
D-A-D have/is/going to be been out touring in support for the two classic albums "Riskin' It All" and "For the Pilgrims".
To make it even more fun the band will only play one of the albums at each show, without revealing which in advance.
The organizers will have no influence on the choice and there will be no voting on Facebook or the like. Only when the curtain rises for each show, it will be revealed which album will be played that evening.
It will be funny, it will be hard, it will be ... D-A-D.

Jumalten aika ("Age of Gods") is the upcoming seventh full-length album by Finnish pagan metal band MOONSORROW. It is planned for release on April 1, 2016. The first tune out of it is "Suden Tunti" that you can watch below.
The new album will also include two covers, "Soulless" (GRAVE cover) and "Non Serviam" (ROTTING CHRIST cover)
MOONSORROW is a pagan metal band formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 1995. Musically, the band incorporates elements of black metal and folk metal in their sound. The band call their sound "epic heathen metal" and try to distance themselves from the term "Viking metal". They have distanced themselves from other folk metal bands, emphasizing that their music is pagan and spiritual and is challenging for its listeners, rather than happy or danceable. The band members have varying levels of pagan belief but they draw on pagan spirituality for lyrics and inspiration.
Today's tune "Suden Tunti" (Wolf's Hour) is taken from the album "Jumalten Aika". Century Media Records 2016.
The Hope Six Demolition Project is the upcoming ninth studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician PJ Harvey. Scheduled to be released on 15 April 2016 on Island Records, the album is Harvey's first since her acclaimed Mercury Prize-winning album Let England Shake, released in 2011.
The album's title is a reference to the HOPE VI projects in the United States, "where run-down public housing in areas with high crime rates has been demolished to make room for better housing, but with the effect that many previous residents could no longer afford to live there, leading to claims of social cleansing." The HOPE VI program is directly referenced in the album's opening track and second single "The Community of Hope". The title is inspired by Harvey's trip to Washington D.C. with photographer/filmmaker Seamus Murphy where she was given a tour by Paul Schwartzman of The Washington Post, who directly influenced some of the lyrics on the song. Upon its release, the song drew criticism directly from council members of Ward 7 in Washington, D.C.
Today's tune "The Wheel" is the tenth track and lead single from her ninth studio album, "The Hope Six Demolition Project" and was released digitally on 22 January 2016 and physically on 4 March 2016 on Island Records.
The song was premiered on Steve Lamacq's show on BBC Radio 6 Music on 21 January 2016, the day before its release.
The music video for "The Wheel" was released on 1 February 2016 and was directed by Seamus Murphy. In a statement to Noisey, Harvey said:
When I’m writing a song I visualize the entire scene. I can see the colors, I can tell the time of day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture. Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with.
Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday, Covenant Thursday, Great and Holy Thursday, Sheer Thursday, and Thursday of Mysteries) is the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter. In Swedish it's called Skärtorsdag :)
So behind, I find myself when it comes to reports about things that have happened recently. I'll certainly try to do better, so I start with one big thing that happens every year, it's the 6 weeks tour with "Melodifestivalen" Swedish tour version of Eurovison Song Contest. I participate in this Circus, not as an artist but as a hard working guy :)
It was a very fun journey, working with the best of the best, a tour were failures are so few that you almost not notice them as everything goes so smooth, fun tour indeed. Musicvise it's not my cup of thé, but I survived :) Anyway, here are some rare photos from the rehearsals.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will be the 61st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It will take place in the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden, following Sweden's victory at the 2015 Contest in Vienna with the song "Heroes", performed by Måns Zelmerlöw. This will be the third time the contest has taken place in Stockholm, after 1975 and 2000, the latter also being held at the Globe. The contest will consist of two semi-finals on 10 and 12 May and the final on 14 May 2016. The three live shows will be hosted by Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede.
Forty-three countries will participate, equalling the record number of participants set in 2008 and 2011. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia and Ukraine will return after absences from recent contests, while Australia will also return after débuting as a special guest in 2015. However, Portugal will withdraw. The contest will also be the first to implement a new voting system since 1975, with each country now awarding two sets of points: one from their professional jury and another from televoting.

"Post Pop Depression" is the seventeenth studio album by Iggy Pop, released on March 18, 2016, by Loma Vista Recordings. Produced by Josh Homme of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, the album was recorded in secrecy and features contributions from QUEENS OF THE STONE AGEs Dean Fertita and ARCTIC MONKEYS drummer Matt Helders
Pop and Homme began working on the album in January 2015. Pop reached out to Homme by text message to ask if he was interested in writing music together. After they spoke by phone, Pop sent Homme some lyrics by mail, along with notes about Pop's time working with David Bowie. Three months later, Homme sent lyrics to Pop, and they agreed to work together on recording songs in a studio. They brought incomplete ideas as opposed to finished songs, so that they could work on them together. Pop described the album as discussing issues of what happens when your utility is at an end, and dealing with your legacy.
Consisting of nine songs, the album was recorded between January 12 and March 9, 2015 at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California, over the course of two weeks, and another week at Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, California. Pop and Homme self-financed the album. Dean Fertita recorded guitar and keyboards, while Matt Helders recorded drum tracks. Homme stated that preparing Post Pop Depression was one thing that helped him cope with the aftermath of the November 2015 attack at the Bataclan.
The album was released on March 18, 2016, and Pop and Homme will embark on a short tour to support the album after its release (including two shows in Paris, France on May 15, 2016 at the Grand Rex and on August 26, 2016 at the "Rock en Seine" festival) In addition to Pop and Homme, the tour will include Fertita, Helders, Matt Sweeney playing bass guitar and Troy Van Leeuwen playing guitar.
Today's tune "Gardenia" is a song by American musician Iggy Pop. It was released as the lead single from his seventeenth studio album, "Post Pop Depression", on January 22, 2016. The song was premiered live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on the day of the song's release.

The Swedish rockabilly band FATBOY have released a new single from the upcoming album Moments.
FATBOY boasts a rich mixture of influences ranging from Faron Young, STRAY CATS, Johnny Cash, Elvis and Roy Orbison to THE SMITHS, Tom Waits and THE CRAMPS. The dreams of the fifties, country and rockabilly music is being challenged by equal amounts of contemporary pop and indie rock, with a tasteful element of Greek bouzouki music and klezmer on the top of it.
Today's tune "Cruel Love" is taken from the upcoming album "Moments", available April 1st on long playing vinyl (LP) and CD (Compact Disc). This magnificent piece will probably knock out some new territories for FATBOY, enjoy it.
From the sun baked wastelands of Austin, Texas comes the super heavy, tripped out, old school stoner metal sounds of DUEL with "Fears Of The Dead"
DUEL is a newcomer from Austin, Texas which started in 2015, by the
ex-SCORPION CHILD guitarist Tom Frank and bassist Shaun Avants (who left the band in 2014). They
both handle the vocals on Duel. The other two fellows are JD Shadowz on Drums and Derek Halfmann on Guitars.
First, DUEL is not another SCORPION CHILD, DUEL is something totally different and is this good?, oh hell yeah! DUEL is hugely influenced by the darker breed of late 60’s and early 70’s
Proto-metal and heavy groove, DUEL casts hard rocking spells of doom,
angst, and horror from behind a thick psychedelic haze of pot smoke.
"Fears Of The Dead" is a classic groovy heavy rock album that floats slowly on the thick slurry of algae andother debris, like an wrecked steam-propelled survivor of the Vicksburg battle.
The Vinyl album kicks of with the title track, a groovy piece that have a fun and excellent swing, heavy puffy riffing, clear melody, excellent tune and I'm digging! The more speedy "This Old Crow" gets my feet's to stomp faster while "The Kraken" takes out it's debauchery to something totally different, still heavy and groovy with it's guitar licks that melts anyone. The last tune on the first side is "Fell To The Earth", a thick bar rocker with catchy riffs and smoky lyrics. (time to turn the record)
A classic hard rocker "On The Edge" starts of the "B" side of the record, with Ace Frehely sounding guitars, the stunning "Electricity" with it's killing melody kicks me of the sofa and I will stay there when "When The Pigs Are Fed" runs in with it's 80's BLACK SABBATH tune, whoa what a suprice.
"Locked Outside" ends the side and finish of the album in nearly eight minutes of magnificent rock that takes you on a voyage true the classic sound of B.O.C and the psychedelic folk of PINK FLOYD a tune that is protected by iron and steel armor plates to keep the explosive intact.
debut LP “Fears Of The Dead” recorded at the famed Machine Shop Studio
(CLUTCH, LAMB OF GOD, KING CRIMSON etc) captures this perfectly.

"Michelangelo", written by Bengt Palmers and Björn Skifs, is a Swedish song performed by Björn Skifs, reaching fifth place in Melodifestivalen 1975, the Swedish qualification competition for the Eurovision Song Contest that year. The song is about trying to call Michelangelo Buonarroti to find out how he made his nice paintings.
The song was released by Skifs on the singledisc EMI 4E 006-35180. Arranger and producer was Bengt Palmers. It was also on the LP Schiffz! (EMI 062-34990). It reached relatively high in the charts in Sweden and also in Norway.
Today's tune "Michelangelo" performed by BONAFIDE together with Ralf Gyllenhammar (MUSTASCH) has done a cover of "Michelangelo".

MOTHER MOOCH are a five piece Fuzz Rock band from Dublin, Ireland.
Their sound has been likened to QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, BLACK SABBATH, PJ Harvey and "ALICE IN CHAINS with a female singer", with songs described as having “enough hooks to fill a fisherman’s basket”. Taking their name from a misheard BLACK SABBATH lyric and their inspiration from a wide range of rock and punk acts from the 1970s, through 90’s grunge, alternative and desert/stoner rock right up to the current heavy psyche scene: MOTHER MOOCH is the amalgam of each member’s eclectic music tastes combined to form something uniquely their own.
After spending several years honing their lineup, sound and live show, MOTHER MOOCH shifted gears in 2015, taking their first steps into Ireland’s festival scene with performances at Canalaphonic, Knockan Stockan and a storming set at Electric Picnic’s Oxjam Stage. Their only non-festival appearance of the summer was opening for former QOTSA/KYUSS legend Nick Oliveri for the second year running.
Since the release of their EP/Demo “Preludes” in March, they have been attracting fans from around the globe – UK, US, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, France and more.
In July 2015 MOTHER MOOCHs song "Into The Water" was selected by seminal underground website Doomed & Stoned.com for inclusion on their latest compilation album "The Enchanter's Ball", which highlights the rise of female-fronted heavy rock bands from around the world.
MOTHER MOOCH Consists of:
Chloë Ní Dhúada - Vocals.
Sid Daly - Guitar and vocals.
Farl - Guitar.
Barry Hayden - Bass.
Danni Nolan - Drums
Today's tune "L.H.O.O.Q." is taken from their debut album Nocturnes was released in November 2015
Chicago, Illinois nihilistic doom/noise metal band LORD MANTIS, over the years, have been making a name for themselves within the underground metal scene and slowly being recognized as one of Chicago’s most noteworthy metal bands alongside such bands as Indian, Nachtmystium, The Atlas Moth, Yakuza etc. Their last album, “Pervertor” (which was released by Candlelight Records in 2012) would bring LORD MANTIS new levels of recognition and awareness to a wider audience which they build upon following their “Spawning The Nephilim” debut (which was released by Seventh Rule in 2009 respectively). With “Pervertor”, LORD MANTIS excelled beyond their debut album and even already having a reputation of putting on quite the devastating live show likewise.
With “Death Mask”, LORD MANTIS (who feature members who are involved and active in notable bands as Indian, Avichi, and Abigail Williams, and feature members who were once part of Nachtmystium at one point and being in-and-out of that band on several occasions) have made their most triumphant and glorious album to date. The masterpiece they’ve been threatening to make since inception.
Overall “Death Mask” (which also features guest appearances from the band’s honorary members, namely guest vocals courtesy of Indian’s Dylan O’Toole on the track “Negative Birth” and synth work from Sanford Parker, who also recorded and mixed “Death Mask” at the famed Electrical Audio and Soma studios in Chicago) is a much darker, doomier, and more experimental offering than anything the band have previously done. A haunting and despondent, yet punishing and violent audial soundtrack to depravity, despair, and personal suffering, “Death Mask” will bring recognition to LORD MANTIS even more within doom/black/noise metal circles and will bring new found recognition to the band as one of the more distinct and most twisted and demented underground metal bands from America today.
Today's tune "Possession Prayer" is taken from "Death Mask", enjoy!

AVANTASIA is a German symphonic power metal supergroup project created by Tobias Sammet, vocalist of the band Edguy. It has been characterised as a rock opera, as it features various vocalists and musicians and it consists of concept albums. The name is a portmanteau of the words "avalon" and "fantasia" ("fantasy") and describes "a world beyond human imagination" (a quotation from the booklet).
