Jon Allen - Night And Day

Jon Allen, acclaimed singer-songwriter from England released his third album, "Deep River" on July 8th, 2014 via OK! Good Records in the US and Canada.

"Deep River" sees Allen paying tribute to great tunes of the past; mixing catchy Sixties-inflected rock, soul, and country blues. Since breaking out in the music scene in 2008, Jon has gained a loyal and ever-growing fan base through his talent as a vocalist, guitarist, and song-writer. His songs have provided the perfect soundtrack for hit prime time TV shows such as "Homeland" and "Bones", along with Hollywood blockbusters "The Oranges" and "Safe Haven". With vocals that are eerily reminiscent of a young Rod Stewart, "Deep River" finds Jon Allen channeling his wide range of influences with songs covering relationships, moving on, and finding oneself.

Jonathon Allen is an English singer-songwriter born in Winchester, currently living in London. His debut album "Dead Man's Suit" was released in 2009. With his fourth studio album "Blue Flame", he has amassed five million plays on Spotify.

Today's tune "Night And Day" is taken from "Deep River", enjoy!

DeWolff - Wolffpack

Monday, time to introduce "Record Of The Week"

The Dutch psychedelic Southern blues rockers DEWOLFF returned earlier this year with a new album "Wolffpack".

I'm sorry to say, but this is another record that had to stand and wait kindly in the album box with newcomers, with a constant flood of new records, it's easy to miss some. I do not know why this one, I guess I have to blame temporary confusion, but now it's here, better late than never.

The kaleidoscopic warriors were not long into their 2019 "Tascam Tapes" European Tour when the Covid19 pandemic broke and they, like so many others, had to turn back and head home. However, DEWOLFF is not a band to sit still. When it came to studio album number nine, they had no intention of just waiting for things to blow over.

DEWOLFF is a very creative bunch of guys that over the past three years they have released "Thrust" (2018), "Live & Outta Sight II" (2019) and "Tascam Tapes" (2020) – and despite the pandemic cutting short their touring last year the trio set about creating "Wolffpack", an antidote to the shoestring Tascam Tapes.

"Wolffpack" have been been created in their studio bunker in the Medieval town of Utrecht, The Netherlands. The album may feel a bit scattered to new listeners, but with a wide range of their previous creations where all styles are used again, a bit like the raisins from their own cake are picked. So it will be a bit difficult to decide what kind of genre we really get served here. Anyhow, this is a great spin where the brothers Pablo and Luka van de Poel and Robin Piso have created another majestic record. Where they are experimenting with soundscapes, fuzzy riffing, swamp-rock with horse shoe vibes, infectionasied melodies that makes you as a listner a happy human beening.

The album opens up with a soulful funk rocker of "Yes You Do", a tune that is very catchy. Followed in the same vein in "Treasure City Moonchild", where the third song "Do Me" is a power ballad, a really beautiful one. "Sweet Loretta" is a bluesy one and has a pretty interesting story about "Loretta, the protagonist's childhood sweetheart. She has a rich dad, but he's really conservative, and so she can only inherit his money if she marries a man. But she's lesbian. So, the protagonist, who's also out for this old guy's money, suggests they play pretend and marry so they can split the money." "Half Of Your Love" is another funky, light disco one. Great vibe that get's your legs move. "Lady J" has some cool lyrics that are based on the idea that Lady Justice seems to have a scale that dosen't measure the "weight" of your crime but the tone of your skin. The tune have a great 70s groove. "Roll Up The Rise" is a car driving tune, think Cadillac. The blusey fuzzed-up "Bona Fide" is a thrill and "R U My Saviour" continues but with added horns to spice it up a bit. The album closes up with the folk bluesih forlorn "Hope Train", inspired by Colson Whitehead’s brilliant, Pulitzer winning novel. DEWOLFF really experimenting with hazy soundscapes, loose fizzy riffs, nice and well thought lyrics and marvelous groovy melodies to keep the intrest high. Highly Recomended! Released by Mascot Label Group on 5 February 2021

Sum: A really creative release by these Dutch blues rockers.

Today's tune "Yes You Do", taken from the album "Wolffpack", enjoy!

Grant-Lee Phillips - Winterglow

The Advent Sunday, also called the First Sunday of Advent or First Advent Sunday, among the Western Christian Churches, is the first day of the liturgical year and the start of the season of Advent.

On the First Sunday of Advent, Christians start lighting their Advent wreaths, and praying their Advent daily devotional; believers may also erect their Christmas tree or Chrismon tree, light a Christingle, as well as engage in other ways of preparing for Christmas, such as setting up Christmas decorations, a custom that is sometimes done liturgically through a hanging of the greens ceremony.

Every year our little neighbourhood is decorating the Christmas tree, building something with the snow that we don't have, lol. Well a good neighbour works at the local Ice Hockey Stadium so he brings in some snow. As you can see on the picture is a piece of our creation this year. The home decoration we usally do a few days before Christmas so you don't get totally bored with Christmas.

The acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Grant-Lee Phillips has unwrapped a new gift for the Christmas season: an EP of Americana-crooning holiday tunes, titled "Yuletide". The EP showcases Phillips' original "Winterglow" and some covers that Grant breathes new life into, such as Nat King Cole's "Take Me Back to Toyland" and Frank Sinatra's "An Old-Fashioned Christmas." The holiday doesn't end at Christmas, however, as Grant puts a spin on the New Year's staple "Auld Lang Syne," adding a topical new verse to inspire hope towards days of peace. This is the first time any of these songs have been available on vinyl. Pressed on green vinyl.

Trivia: Grant-Lee Phillips performed “Winterglow” on the Gilmore Girls’ “Year in the Life” winter episode. Fans of the TV show know Grant-Lee Phillips as the beloved Town Troubadour.

Today's tune "Winterglow" is taken from the EP "Yuletide", enjoy it!

The Breeders - Safari

THE BREEDERS are an American alternative rock band based in Dayton, Ohio, consisting of members Kim Deal (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), her twin sister Kelley Deal (lead guitar, vocals), Josephine Wiggs (bass guitar, vocals) and Jim Macpherson (drums).

The earliest incarnation of the band was formed by Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly in 1989 as a side-project alongside their full-time bands PIXIES and THROWING MUSES respectively. To record their debut album, 1990's "Pod", Deal and Donelly recruited bassist Josephine Wiggs of THE PERFECT DISASTER and drummer Britt Walford of SLINT. Kim's sister Kelley was brought into the band as a third guitarist (though at the time, Kelley famously had never played guitar before joining the band) in 1992 to record the "Safari EP", and shortly thereafter Tanya Donelly left to concentrate full-time on her own new band, BELLY, leaving Kelley Deal as the sole lead guitarist, while Britt Walford left as well around the same time. While the band's first record wasn't initially a commercial success, the band had developed a following among indie rock fans and praises from people such as NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain, who cited "Pod" as one of his all-time favorite albums, the band prepared to record their next album.

In 1993, the PIXIES broke up, leaving Deal to concentrate on THE BREEDERS as her full-time band. Kim recruited local Dayton, Ohio musician Jim Macpherson (previously a member of Dayton indie rock band THE RAGING MANTRAS) to replace the recently departed Walford on drums, cementing THE BREEDERS' best-known line-up. The band's most commercially successful album, "Last Splash", was released in 1993 in the midst of the early 1990s alternative rock boom. The album went on to be certified platinum by the RIAA, and is best known for its hit single "Cannonball".

A year after the success of "Last Splash", drug and alcohol issues forced the band into hiatus in 1994, while both the Deal sisters did separate stints in rehab in the following years. During the band's hiatus, Kim Deal formed the short-lived alternative rock band THE AMPS, recording a single album, "Pacer", in 1995. In the late 1990s, Kim and Kelley reformed THE BREEDERS with a new line-up (including members of the band FEAR) and released two more albums, "Title TK" in 2002 and "Mountain Battles" in 2008. In 2013, Kim and Kelley had announced that the "classic" line-up (including Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson) had reunited for the first time since the 1990s for a new series of tours celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band's hit album "Last Splash". They released their fifth album "All Nerve" in 2018, the "classic" THE BREEDERS line-up's first full-length album together since 1993's "Last Splash".

In March 2021, the band released their first new recording in over three years: A cover of His Name is Alive's "The Dirt Eaters." The cover is part of a forthcoming 4AD covers compilation, entitled Bills and Aches and Blues.

Today's tune "Safari" is the title tune from an EP by the Breeders, released in 1992 on 4AD/Elektra Records. By the time of its release, Kim Deal had enlisted her twin sister Kelley to play guitar for the band. It is the only BREEDERS recording that features both Kelley Deal and Tanya Donelly.

Shame - Snow Day

The South Londoner’s post-punk band SHAME did release thier second album "Drunk Tank Pink" on 15 January 2021. A band that I guess I missed because of all the jitter in cyberspace. Heard the single called "Snow Day" the other day and thought I should share it.

The front cover of "Drunk Tank Pink" features a black-and-white image of SHAMEs drummer Charlie Forbes's father, photographed by Tegen Williams. Frontman Charlie Steen explained how the album title and the text colour on the cover came to be: he painted his room pink and called it "the womb", and the colour he used is also known as "drunk tank pink", which is known to reduce aggressive behaviour and lower heart rates.

"Drunk Tank Pink" is touted as an ambitious expansion of SHAME’s sound.

Today's tune "Snow Day" is a epic piece with alot of constant tension where the video of drone footage shot near the Scottish Borders.

Hank - Vi Mot Världen

Thursday, time for a cover.

"Vi Mot Världen" (We Against The World) is a single by Swedish singer Veronica Maggio. It was released in Sweden as a digital download on 2 May 2016 as the third single from her fifth studio album "Den Första Är Alltid Gratis" (2016).

Today's version is made by Hank (Hank von Helvete), a great cover of the tune. The song was produced by Jim Berget at FlatCity Studio. Veronica Maggio really like the version and invited Hank to sing a duet with her on the Nebbenfestivalen 5 august 2017. Video is recorded in Lillestrøm. Produser: Anders Rodem / Regi : Fredrik Østbye.

Hank died suddenly on 19 November 2021, at the age of 49, when he was found dead in Slottsparken in Oslo. No cause of death has been made public, but his manager later denied rumours that he had committed suicide, stating that "his body had finally given in" after a long life of drug abuse.

Kitchen Witch - Cave Of Mischief

Australian red-dust desert rock outfit KITCHEN WITCH is Australia’s answer to both the California desert/stoner rock scene and Europe’s stoner/prog/psych circuit. Khemmis - Deceiver

Monday, time to introduce "Record Of The Week".

"Deceiver" is the fourth full-length from the Denver doomsters KHEMMIS. A band that I have been following since their debut in 2015. The melodic and gloomy depths of doom in the new wave format that they have mastered so well since the band’s debut.

The band is now a three-piece after the departure of bassist Dan Beiers. The band has been a bit withdrawn the last few years with some exceptions of a few covers, like "Rainbow In The Dark" (DIO), "Down In A Hole," (ALICE IN CHAINS), etc.

KHEMMIS’s "Deceiver" is a beautiful, musically ambitious journey from beginning to end drenched in impassioned melody and complex, unrestrained variations of sonic savagery adorned with chilling, intensely tragic cover art by frequent collaborator Sam Turner.

While the lyrical themes of "Deceiver", sorrow, pain, longing for hope, will no doubt be familiar to longtime fans, these six songs display a broader collection of musical influences than on any other KHEMMIS record to date.

From the opening guitar intro in "Avernal Gate" that suits up to be a real powerful melodic piece that burst out to its oblivion in the end. They really take advantage of every minute of their creation in a magical way without being overwhelmed by the good that few bands can do today. "House Of Cadmus" and "Shroud Of Lethe" are two tunes where both slowly move forward with beautiful and well-thought-out melody loops, soft vocals which over time become increasingly gross and violent, that later on falls back to the more gentle approach. “Living Pyre” the first single is about their personal growth as a band and as individuals, deals bitterness and even anger, with the lines “There’s nothing left to give, nothing to rake through coals”. Marvelous guitars on "Obsidian Crown", a great melodic tune that has a nice flow. The album closes up with the flag on the top in "The Astral Road", the nice acoustic guitar gets the first few lines until the electric entries and showcase a brilliant playing. A powerful heavy metal rocker, with a groovy melodic line that really peaks on this album, just stunning!

"Deceiver" is a well-created album, it needs a few spins before it starts to sink into your soul but when it does it will stay. "Deceiver" was released on November 19th via Nuclear Blast Records. Get it.

KHEMMIS are: Phil Pendergast, Ben Hutcherson, Zach Coleman

The Damned - Anything

Sunday, time for a classic.

"Anything" is a single by the English rock band THE DAMNED, released 6 November 1986 on MCA. Previewing the group's new album of the same name, the song saw a slight move away from the Goth rock of Phantasmagoria, to a more mainstream rock sound. The single received lukewarm reviews, and considering the success of the previous album and "Eloise", its UK Singles Chart peak of No. 32 was seen as a disappointment.

THE DAMNED formed in London in 1976 by lead vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, bassist (and later guitarist) Captain Sensible, and drummer Rat Scabies. They were the first punk rock band from the United Kingdom to release a single, "New Rose" (1976), release an album, "Damned Damned Damned" (1977), and tour the United States. They have nine singles that charted on the UK Singles Chart Top 40.

As one of the first gothic rock bands, THE DAMNED were a major influence on the goth subculture with lead singer Vanian's vampire-themed costume, baritone singing voice and dark lyrics being major influences.

Enjoy today's tune "Anything", the lead track from the seventh studio album "Anything".

Hank Von Hell - Disco

Saturday, been spinning TURBONEGRO and Hank Von Hell albums, remembering the Rock Icon Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby who sadly passed away yesterday. An important fellow in the rock n' roll business in Scandinavia, especially here in Sweden where he made a big impact with his obscure rock band TURBONEGRO and when he played the title role in Cornelis, a Swedish film from 2010 about the singer-songwriter Cornelis Vreeswijk. Hank had a bright future ahead within both music and films. Hank died on 19 November 2021, at the age of 49. No cause of death has been made public.

So today's tune is for you Hank, I hope you get some time for "Disco" up there in the sky. You will be missed, R.I.P.

Dead Finks - (My Human) Extinction

DEAD FINKS is the musical output of New Zealand-born duo Joseph Thomas and Erin Violet. Formed in Sydney sometime in the late '10s, it's current incarnation is a four-piece rock band based in Berlin.

On "The Death & Resurrection Of Jonathon Cowboy" the band showcase an incredible knack for writing catchy and unique melodies. They play punk music in the tradition of WIRE or SONIC YOUTH and take cues from contemporaries like PARQUET COURTS and ICEAGE in their efforts to manipulate and expand upon what it means to be a punk group in 2021.

Written and recorded in Sydney, late 2018 (shortly before the duo moved to Berlin) the LP serves as a strange prediction of the horrible state of the world today. Songs about war, plagues, pissing, police, David Cronenberg’s Videodrome and the climate burning. Its a sea of wiry guitars and thumping bass that plants itself inside your inner ear and doesn’t leave. Thomas’ smart-ass delivery and literary style with odd references abounding, sees a return to something similarly touched upon in his previous group TRUST PUNKS.

Stripped down rock music that knows what it is and smashes you over the head. Vocal harmonies and lush organ sounds. It sounds really good. Divorcing somewhat on this release from the harsh underground sounds of previous iterations of the band.

Dave Gahan - Metal Heart

Thursday, time for a cover.

"Metal Heart" is a song by CAT POWER taken from the fourth album "Moon Pix". CAT POWER, the stage name and eponymous band of American singer-songwriter, Chan Marshall. It was released in September 1998 on Matador Records.

Many of Chan Marshall's songs are centered around making difficult choices when alone. This song is a case in point. She explained in a BBC 6 Music interview:

"When I wrote Metal Heart there was a place that I couldn't move from. Not trapped, but my choices were limited and there are different things we can do when we are forced to suck it up or kneel down or whatever. We have a choice to make and I think Metal Heart, just writing that song those were words from my subconscious forcing me to get up, to not choose to let any pain take me over.

That song was about a hymn to, even if you feel you are in the darkest, most alone corner of your life at that point I just knew that I wasn't."

Today's version is made by English singer-songwriter Dave Gahan and electronica producer SOULSAVERS. The song is taken from the latest and the third collaborative studio album "Imposter". It was released on 12 November 2021 by Columbia Records. It is Gahan's fifth studio album and SOULSAVERS' seventh. "Imposter" was recorded live in Malibu, California in November 2019, consisting of cover versions of various rock songs. Dave Gahan has said of the album: "When I listen to other people's voices and songs—more importantly the way they sing them and interpret the words—I feel at home. I identify with it. It comforts me more than anything else. There's not one performer on the record who I haven't been moved by."

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Before You Forget

Anton Newcombe, the American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and founder of the music group THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE.

Anton Newcombe is a very active dude and now and then he releases something, not every is always with a well produced or thought true tune, as for today we have a demo with "Before You Forget", a track that isn’t even a fully fledged release, an unreleased track Anton Newcombe describes as a 'song idea'. Great saying as this is very good song idea. The tune got released during RSD as a split release features 2 exclusive tracks recorded specifically for Record Store Day 2021 in December 2020 and were mixed by Anton Newcombe at his Berlin studio. The link between the 2 bands goes back more than 20 years when Anton asked THE TELESCOPES for a release on the "Committee To Keep Music Evil" label called “As Approved By The Committee”. These tracks are two slices of shoe gazing delight.

MØ - Goosebumps

The Danish musician MØ has returned, a couple months ago she released the new dance floor hit "Live To Survive", and she also has announced that her follow-up to 2018’s "Forever Neverland" is in the pipeline to be released pretty soon. The new work is titled "Motordrome", and it’s influenced by her struggles with panic and anxiety. The title was inspired by the stuntman trick called dødstrome—basically the globe of death where motorcyclists ride around in a spherical cage.

MØ is one of the artists that I probably never will forget, she was the crazy dance rocker that was all over the place singing so lovely, even if the dance rhythms is not really my kind of bag she had that little extra that caught my intention. So in secret, I have been following her...

MØ is a Danish singer and songwriter. She signed a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment in 2012, releasing her debut extended play, "Bikini Daze" (2013), and her debut studio album, "No Mythologies To Follow" (2014).

Today's tune "Goosebumps" is a slow-burning yearn for past thrills and it was the first song she intentionally wrote for the upcoming "Motordrome". Enjoy!

Thåström - Dom Som Skiner

Monday, time to introduce "Record Of The Week".

"Dom Som Skiner" (Those Who Shines) is the tenth solo album by the Swedish Rock icon Thåström.

The album is in a way an unusually intimate affair, largely played and produced by Thåström, his faithful studio companions Niklas Hellberg and Sanken Sandqvist and their machines. This is an album where he gave his magnificent backing band some vacation, and have reqcruited the drummer Per Eklund, guitarist Eddie Nyström, bassist Henrik Nilsson and on keyboards Stefan Brisland.

Thåström is the Sweden's best ever singer in my book, here he is more sore and more well-oiled than in a long time, maybe ever. His small and simple words turn into gospel for the soul. The record cover artwork is adorned with Hans Gedda's 70's portrait "The White Clown", he is also doing a brilliant duet with Titiyo on the tune "Papperstunna Väggar" (Paperthin Walls), FIRST AID KIT helps him with a little chorus on two tracks. The sound scape is not as massive as we have started to get used to with Thåström, here we get it served it more stripped down and layback, it's incredibly tight with some elegant stringes and sprinkle of electronics in a very beautiful way. The album opens up in the Bulgakov-influenced opening track "Södra Korset", beautiful chours with FIRST AID KIT that also sings on electronic "Isbergen". "Gyttjebrottaren" is a powerful synth story with a darker tone. The "Dom Du Behöver" is a brilliant song, with ingenious lyrics, wonderfully floating electronic shimmer. "Toledo", "Mamma" are the albums highlights, two ballads where we can sence the fragile and senstive Thåström and the jazzy "Stora Långa Gatan" where he surprisingly expresses appreciation for the Sandra's 80s hit "Maria Magdalena". The album is a impressive release from the now 64 old talented artist which matures like a vintage wine. A highly recomended album.

The nine tracks on "Dom som skiner" have been recorded in Berlin, Stockholm, Luxembourg, Karlstad and Flen.

The album is followed by a large Swedish tour with a premiere in Uppsala on March 18 with detours to both Copenhagen and Oslo and ends at Avicii Arena in Stockholm on May 21, 2022.

Bohannon - Foot Stompin Music

Sunday, time for a classic!

"Foot Stompin Music" is a tune by Hamilton Bohannon (March 7, 1942 – April 24, 2020), often credited and known professionally simply as BOHANNON, was an American percussionist, band leader, songwriter, arranger, and record producer, who was one of the leading figures in 1970s disco music.

An artist that I unfortunately had very little knowledge of. But by an incident when I was out digging records in a second hand shop, the record "Inside Out" appeared and I became curious. Even as an old DJ, there is not much disco that is bought these days when the word is on the cover, I usally just put it back, but when the word "Stomp" is used, it is usually funk, which I really like, so the record had to go home. This one had a great groove, even if it is done with a little disco feeling, so I am happy with the purchase and have to share it.

BOHANNON was born in Newnan, Georgia, and learned the drums at school. He began playing in local bands, one of which featured guitarist Jimi Hendrix, before graduating from Clark College with a degree in music and secondary education. After a brief period as a schoolteacher, he was recruited in 1964 as drummer in 13-year-old STEVIE WONDER's touring band. He moved to Detroit in 1967, where he was employed by Motown as the leader and arranger of BOHANNON & The Motown Sound, who provided backing for many of the label's top acts on tour, including STEVIE WONDER, SMOKEY ROBINSON, MARVIN GAYE, THE TEMPTAIONS, DIANA ROSS and THE SUPREMES, THE FOUR TOPS and others.

When Motown moved from Detroit to Los Angeles, BOHANNON stayed behind to form his own ensemble, featuring members of local band, THE FABULOUS COUNTS and including such musicians as RAY PARKER JR. and DENNIS COFFEY. He signed in 1972 with the Dakar label run by producer Carl Davis, and released his debut album Stop & Go in early 1973. This was followed by five more albums for the label over the next two years, on which he "perfected his formula of heavy, thudding bass accents and aggressive rhythms". Although several of his tracks were club hits, he had limited chart success. His first hit single, in 1974, was "South African Man", which reached no. 78 on the Billboard R&B chart, but had more success in the UK, where it reached no. 22 on the UK Singles Chart. This was followed up in 1975 by "Foot Stompin Music" – his only record to reach the US Billboard Hot 100 – and "Disco Stomp", his biggest hit in the UK where it reached no. 6. See it below.

In 1976, Bohannon signed with Mercury Records and two years later had one of his biggest successes with "Let’s Start The Dance," which reached no. 9 on the R&B chart and no. 7 on the disco chart. "Let's Start the Dance" featured singer Carolyn Crawford, whose subsequent albums Bohannon went on to produce. In 1981, a new mix of "Let's Start the Dance" was successful on the dance chart. In 1980, he established Phase II Records, and continued to have minor hits on the R&B chart for the next three years, using new vocalists Liz Lands and Altrinna Grayson. He signed with MCA Records in 1984 and released several more albums. His last album, It's Time To Jam, was issued on the South Bound label in 1990.

Much of his music has been widely sampled, most notably on Chicago DJ/producer PAUL JOHNSON's 1999 hit "Get Get Down" which heavily sampled BOHANNON's "Me and the Gang." Other musicians who have used samples of his music include JAY Z, DIGABLE PLANETS, and SNOOP DOGG. His name was also repeatedly invoked in the TOM TOM CLUB song "Genius of Love." His composition "Ooh!" was included on MARY J. BLIGE's album "Love & Life in 2003".

In later years BOHANNON produced a new singer, GOVERNOR, on Atlantic Records, as well as working on material with his son, HAMILTON BOHANNON II, and publishing an audiobook memoir of his early years in the music business, "Bohannon Speaks from the Beginning".

BOHANNON was a devout Christian and dedicated his album "Dance Your Ass Off" to "God, my master, savior and Jesus Christ". The album also included a disclaimer that "Dance Your Ass Off is not used in the sense of profanity."

Susto - Get Down

"Time In The Sun" is the 4th full length album from Charleston, SC band SUSTO. The album was written and recorded in the midst of a lot of life changing events for lead writer/singer Justin Osborne.

Like everyone around the world, Osborne was navigating the global issues felt from the pandemic while normal life continued with its own blessings and challenges.. "We were navigating the global and national issues that everyone else was dealing with, but also I became a father and also lost my father. There was a lot of contemplation going on in my brain, a lot of personal evolution going on in my life, and songwriting was my way of working through it all. The title "Time In The Sun" is meant to be a monument to my own human existence and also a tribute to the human experience in general. I wouldn’t claim to understand what it means to be a human, from the countless different perspectives of the world, but I do have my own experience to reflect on and I want to be able to express and explain that in some way. I guess this album is an attempt at that. At the core though, it’s just a collection of songs about my life and my feelings."

SUSTO is heading out on tour soon, check all the dates below.

Hardcore Superstar - Weep When You Die

"Weep When You Die" is the booze soaked, anthemic new single and video from Gothenburg’s leading exponents of street metal, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR. The tunes are taken from the upcoming album "Abrakadabra", which is scheduled for release in March 2022 through Golden Robot Records.

"Weep When You Die" is rejoicing of their first two singles "Catch Me If You Can" and "Dreams In Red".

"Abrakadabra" was recorded at both Osterlycken and Bombastik in Musikhens Hus, Gothenburg, the band returned to their roots to work with acclaimed producer Johan Reiven, who they previously collaborated with on their 2005 "Black Album". The result is an intense and hard-hitting collection of songs that drummer Adde Moon describes as a “natural follow up to Black Album”. The new single "Weep When You Die" described by the band’s drummer Adde as “just another night at your local watering hole”.

Today's tune "Weep When You Die", enjoy it and have a faboulus weekend!
