In Flames - Alias

First show at Annexet was great, the band was exited to perfom, specially on homeground, loads of nice pyro.
The only thing that was bad was that they coulnt sell any merch.
'Due to In Flames getting charged a ridiculous amount of % on thier merchandise by an organization which are controlling the rights for selling T-shirts etc at the shows, In Flames took the decision to not selling any shirts at any of the Sweden shows.' :(

Im Prepping for the 2:nd day of some great Rock.

The Hellacopters - In The Sign of Octopus

Todays tune is with a tear in the eye, after 4 shows this weekend with The Hellacopters and the farwell tour has hit its end.
The first day (Saturday) with one show at 13:00 CET for all the Copters familys, friends and other VIPs was great first of four sold out goodbyes. The evening show was even better, the band was really thrilled and gave all they got and this evening show, something happened with the electricity on stage. Some jackass thrown some beer in the sky and some of it got thrown at the lightningdesk which collapsed the lighting system. Soon after that the stage power got nuts and for some unknown reason Kenny bassamp died and one minute later all monitors onstage started to feedback LOUD and Nick got Electrocuted from his mic and took a flight back, the band walked of stage, Nick was so pissed that he coulnt finish the show (though they had only little over one song left), Nick is ok after all.
Sunday morning was a really a quiet one, all members was very down in the mood (allmost that someone has died) you could feel it in the air.
The 3:rd show was a allages, so the house was crowded with kids and no beer in the bar (Got some of the older once a little crumpy that they had to drink cola :))
The guys went up and gave the kids a superb show the audience got crazy, they almost tear down the place when 'Dregen' entred the stage. The final, last and 4:th one was the true climax of this weekend at Debaser.
The guys was tierd, no doubt about that, but they find some extra energy and they gave 110%, even if the middle things was a little bit longer than usal. The heat inside was lika a sauna and he guys looked like they came in from the shower with out touching a tovel and this already half way thru the show.
When they started on the last songs, loads of flowers was flying up on stage.
Audience was crying and that was a really strange feeling.
When the band finally went of stage the audience was clapping and crying and even i could notice the emptyness and the tears.
This was a great final of a magical thing.
The Hellacopters is dead, Long live The Hellacopters.

Aiden - Last Sunrise

This band comes to Sweden, Stockholm saturday and plays at "Klubben".
Im not a real fan of ´em but this song begins real cool ...

From the foggy majesty of Seattle, Washington comes Aiden, a young band who meld punk, post-hardcore and goth influences into a lethal stew that recalls the best of bands like AFI and H.I.M.

They begun to play around 2003 i think, They took their name after the film "The Ring"

Ah well, im working at this gig ill try to like em a bit more :)

Cheers!

Eagles of Death Metal - Wannabe In LA

Eagles of Death Metal (EoDM) is an American band formed by Jesse Hughes
and Josh Homme.
Despite the name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band. Hughes in an interview with a Polish rock magazine Teraz Rock told the story of the band's name. He said that his friend, Lou, was trying to make Josh Homme like death metal. When he played Vader, Homme called them "The Eagles of death metal." Later, Josh Homme inspired him to write music that he thought would be The Eagles crossed with death metal,
and their debut album was the result.
In a 2003 interview Homme described the sound of the band as a combination of "bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals." Jesse Hughes is known and somewhat loved by fans for his over-enthusiastic and charismatic interaction with audiences at live performances.

Mogwai - Batcat

Mogwai are a Scottish rock group from Glasgow, Scotland.
Formed by Stuart Braithwaite and Dominic Aitchison in 1995,
Mogwai has since become one of the most influential and best known
names in post-rock.

They typically compose lengthy, instrumental guitar-based pieces in the post-rock tradition. They are usually focused around the elaboration of a single theme and are known for dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar riffs, their use of guitar distortion and effects. Braithwaite has commented on the absence of lyrics in most of Mogwai's music, saying:

"I think most people are not used to having no lyrics to focus on. Lyrics are a real comfort to some people. I guess they like to sing along and when they can't do that with us they can get a bit upset."

Cult Of Luna - Back To Chapel Town

And yes i got really thirlled about what came out from thier instruments, it was very powerful.

Cult of Luna is a Swedish sludge/post-metal band from Umeå. They formed from the remnants of a Umeå hardcore punk band called Eclipse in 1999. They slowly garnered critical appreciation and underground popularity with early releases Cult of Luna (2001) and The Beyond (2003); however, it is 2004's Salvation that can be considered their 'breakthrough' release. By cutting down on the somewhat esoteric use of aggression so indicative of doom, it appealed to a new group of fans. Its calmer sound has earned it favourable reviews in the mainstream music press, a reputation built upon for the release of Somewhere Along the Highway in 2006, another largely well-received album.
In August 2006, the band released a remake of "Marching to the Heartbeats" from Somewhere Along the Highway entitled "Heartbeats" solely on the internet community MySpace. The song was available for download for a few days and was later removed. The point was to see if the song would be kept alive by file sharing, and was also apparently a statement against the conservative music industry, says keyboardist Anders Teglund in an interview.
In April 2008, the band announced the upcoming release of their fifth album entitled Eternal Kingdom. It was released on June 16 in Europe followed by its release on July 8 in the United States.

Lucinda Williams - World Without Tears

Lucinda Williams (born January 26, 1953) is an American rock, folk, and country music singer and songwriter.
She recorded her first albums in 1978 and 1980 in a traditional country and blues style and received very little attention from radio, the media or the public. In 1988, she released her self-titled album, Lucinda Williams. This release featured "Passionate Kisses" a song later recorded by Mary Chapin Carpenter which garnered Lucinda her first Grammy (Best Country Song, 1994). Known for working slowly, only one other album was recorded and released in the next several years (Sweet Old World in 1992) before her greatest success came in 1998 with Car Wheels On A Gravel Road. This album presented a broader scope of songs that fused rock, blues, country and Americana into a more unique style that still managed to remain consistent and commercial in sound. It went gold and earned Lucinda another Grammy while being universally acclaimed by critics. Since Car Wheels, she has released a string of albums that have also been critically acclaimed, though none have sold in the numbers of her 1998 breakthrough. She was also named "America's best songwriter" by TIME magazine in 2002

Though he was active before 1955, his prime years were between 1955 and 1967, during which time he reshaped modern jazz and influenced generations of other musicians. Coltrane's recording rate was astonishingly prolific: he recorded about fifty recordings as a leader in these twelve years, and appeared on many more led by other musicians. Throughout his career Coltrane's music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension that would color his legacy. He passed away from liver cancer in Huntington Hospital, Long Island, New York.
