Eminem - Walk On Water

Thursday, it's my daughters birthday, she is starting to get old now, time flys fast. She had a few request, clothes, make ups, thai food and Eminem :) Well I guess as a good father and together with her mom we needed to try to do our best to grant her requests. To not brag to much, But I am a very proud parent of this gorgeous child, a kid that really stands up for the family, help out when needed, you know walk the dog, take care of her little sister and once in awhile even the dishes :)

So for today play a tune for her, by request.

"Walk on Water" is a song by American rapper Eminem, released on November 10, 2017. It was released as the lead single from Eminem's ninth solo studio album "Revival" (2017). The song, produced by Rick Rubin and Skylar Grey, features vocals from American singer Beyoncé.

The song started as a hook written by Skylar Grey, who also wrote Eminem's 2010 hit single "Love the Way You Lie". Eminem came across the hook when he was working with Rick Rubin and became enamored of the lyrics. Previously Rubin and Eminem had been discussing the phenomenon of mumble rap, specifically Eminem's frustration with its mainstream popularity, and the hook served as a vehicle for him to vent them. Rubin subsequently played the song for Jay-Z, who was then able to get his wife, Beyoncé, to sing the chorus. Upon the release of the single, Grey tweeted, "This is the song I've been trying to write since age 6. Every time I wrote a song I hoped it would be this good. I am truly proud of everything I've created, but this is the one."

On December 23, 2017, the music video for the song was released exclusively on Apple Music and Eminem's official Vevo channel. It was directed by American director Richard "Rich" Lee, who previously directed Eminem's videos for "Not Afraid", "Rap God", "The Monster" and "Phenomenal". As of January 29, 2018, the video has over 31 million views and 800.000 likes.

The song was first performed by Eminem at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards on November 12 with co-producer and writer Skylar Grey on vocals. Both also performed the song on Saturday Night Live on November 18.

Gozu - Nature Boy

Boston based GOZU have released a brand new album "Revival" where we going to get a taste from with the new single/video "Nature Boy".

At their core, GOZU is a bad ass American rock band. They’ve got heavy riffs in tow and bang out tunes loud enough to piss off the neighbors. GOZU is a songwriting machine, one that is able to churn out loud, hard hitting compositions without sacrificing the meaning behind the songs or the band. Gruff and dirty when it needs to be just as it’s swift and soulful when the time is right.

GOZU first appeared on the scene in 2009 with the release of their seven track EP. Consisting of members of bands such as WARGASM and CLOUDS. After a line-up change which brought on board bassist Jay Cannava of Miltown and Clouds infamy, GOZU continues to chug along at its own pace. Small Stone Records snapped up GOZU in 2009 and they released their critically acclaimed album “Locust Season.” GOZU spent the next year touring the Northeast with bands like ST. VITUS, PALLBEARER, FU MANCHU, HELMET, ELDER, LO PAN among others.

Following the success of Locust Season in 2010, GOZU returned to Mad Oak Studios and The Bridge Sound and Stage in 2013 to record their second full length album “The Fury of a Patient Man.” 2014 the band added Warhorse (Southern Lord) drummer Mike Hubbard to the mix. With the key members in tact, GOZU embarked ontheir first European tour playing the Holy Grail of festivals Roadburn and Dessert Fest with CHURCH OF MISERY and KVELERTAK.

In 2015, Gozu headed into Wild Arctic studio and recorded their third album. However, it is their first album on their new label, Ripple Music.

With a new label and a new album, only great things lie ahead for this juggernaut ensemble built on the foundation of pure rock, soul, and metal.
