Windhand - Red Cloud

Richmond, Virginia's heavy psychedelic quartet WINDHAND took the 27th place with their super psychedelic ultra-slow fare doom metal album "Eternal Return".

"Eternal Return" is the fourth full length from the quartet WINDHAND represents a new era for the group, a chrysalis moment that takes them to new and unforeseen heights. Across nine songs and 63 minutes, "Eternal Return" is an infectious display of songcraft cloaked in alluring atmosphere, molten fuzz, eerie psychedelia and ethereal vocals. The album was once again produced by Jack Endino (NIRVANA, SOUNDGARDEN) with vivid artwork by Arik Roper (SLEEP, HIGH ON FIRE). Equally informed by heavy, fuzzed-out psych along with the iconic grunge / alternative groups of the 90s, WINDHAND have crafted a record brilliant in scope, powerful in execution, and perfect for an era of increasingly blurry yet still heavy borders.

JIRM - Candle Eyes

The Swedish heavy psych rockers JIRM (Jeremy Irons and the Ratgang Malibus) grabbed the 33rd place with their very powerful and groovy album "Surge Ex Monumentis".

JIRM music is a great mix of psychedelic rock, progressive stoner, classic rock and elements from the 70's makes "Surge Ex Monumentis" a highly enjoyable.

Tune Of The Day - Top 50 - 2018 (50 - 41)

Now we are close to the end....of this year, it's December 18th and at this time of the year it's time to sum all the best that 2018 have given us Music vise.

Once again it has been a really good year album wise. More than shit loads of money have been spent on records this year, all of them is now going to fight for the top spots on Tune of the days Top 50 list. It has been a really busy year, so most listening have been done on the digitally format, hey Spotify. Almost every single album that been nominated as "Record of The Week" along with many others have been purchased and of course on Vinyl.

I found out after a few days of big agony that this year did had only a handful of the typical top notch album, so the fight have been between the top 5 albums, very tricky and the albums have changed a lot until I finally made up my mind.
