The album "Fractal Altar" shows off some slick songwriting and Custom-made for mind expansion that will give you as a listner a pleasent time.

Saturday, a pretty cold day, sun hiding behind the pale moon. So today I feel for something spaced-out and found ASTROID in the record shelf :)
ASTROID is playing a heavy, progressive Swedish spaced-out 70’s-style fuzz-rock that suits perfect a day like this.
The band was formed in Örebro, Sweden during the winter of 2003-2004. Releases: “Demo 2004”, “Ep 2005”, “Asteroid & Blowback” (Fuzz Split 2006), “Asteroid” (2007), II (2010) & II (2016).
The history of ASTROID is a psychedelic space saga, timeless and endless, with no upside or downside, but with a beautiful ending. The band, formed during the winter of 2003, have undertaken a long musical journey and developed a sound well fit to the trio constellation. After being formed as a regular stoner band, it didn’t take long before new grounds were conquered. Since then, influences have been collected from blues and British 70’s classic rock, but also from Swedish traditional folk music.
The band consists of:
Robin Hirse - Vocals & Guitar
Johannes Nilsson - Vocals & Bass
Jimmi Kohlscheen- Drums
ASTROID is today a well-known live act all over Europe with constant touring and a reputation of wild and sweaty live shows. Hold on to your hats and enjoy today's piece "Pale Moon" from ASTROIDs third album "III".
Thursday, time for digging up a cool cover. This time we have a true classic that gets some distorted riffs with a whiskey soar vocal.
“Cocaine” is a epic classic by JJ Cale, the song was written and recorded in 1976. The song was popularized by Eric Clapton after his cover version was released on the 1977 album "Slowhand".
Today's cover is a modern rocker with the Norwegian fuzzed-out intergalactic stoner rock band KAL-EL, their music is a step-child of hard rock and heavy metal, you know, a bass-heavy groove, detuned guitars, and fuzz-pedals set max, often with hints of pyschedelic and blues rock as well as doom metal.
Today's tune "Cocaine", here is a clip with Erik Torp, Live at Corner Pub & Diskotek 30.11.2018, enjoy!
CRANEIUM is a stoner/desert/fuzz rock band formed in Turku late 2011 and has sweated themselves through an intense live schedule since then!
CRANEIUM released their first EP "the Slowerdrive Tapes" on green cassette 2013, a split 12" record with 3RD TRIP 2014 and their full-length album "Explore The Void" through Ripple Music December 2016.
Tune Down, Turn Up and Fuzz Out with CRANEIUM. Worshippers of amplifiers, weird tales, fuzzboxes and mindexpanding rock.
Andreas Kaján - Vocals & Guitars Martin Ahlö - Vocals & Guitars Joel Kronqvist - Drums Jonas Ridberg - Bass
"First, you wonder just what the hell kind of mind-altering substances have made four kids from what is apparently Finland’s bible belt turn to the dark side in such a fashion?
Today's tune "Dr. Plague" taken from the first album "Explore The Void" (2015).
A new week is here and it's time to introduce "Record Of The Week".
"Eorþe" is the 3:rd released from the Swedish power trio SKRAECKOEDLAN. Ten years as a band has made its mark, they have grown and made themselves a name in the fuzzy stoner land. The new album "Eorþe" have a wonderful mix of fuzz, stoner, psychedelia, progressive rock and all in the native language "Swedish". Even if the basics in SKRAECKOEDLANs music comes from the past it sounds modern and fresh, with well-thought monstrous riffs and an amazing groove. If some references should be made I could say it's a mix between SOLID GROUND and KENT. Set in the 1920s, Earth is a mystery with Lovecraftian connotations, philosophically told through eight songs. The record is the telling of a story by sci-fi author Nils Håkansson, written specifically for SKRAECKOEDLAN to put into music.
"Eorþe" opens up with a finger tapping intro that starts "Guldåldern", before the melodic melody with a neatly played guitar steps forward into the lights, a calm vocal performance by Robert Lamu, he sings about "the darkness that opens one last time", until he adds a higher gear to the tune, it builds up and it gets drained with distorted fuzz. Martin Larsson's pounding toms opens up the second tune and the first single "Kung Mammut" before he lets in the fuzzy tones from the guitarist Henrik Grüttner. Great science fiction atmosphere in the melody, a powerful tune with a really cool story, me like. The album continues with a melodic melody, powerful and glorious riffing, like the technically second single "Creature Of Doggerland", that serves with dual harmonies and have a heavier outfit than the previous tunes. In the same line follows "Angelica", that opens with a punching drum intro, that turns out to be a very heavy piece. "Mammutkungens Barn" opens up with a pretty cool intro with great bass licks, dual harmonies and a great melody. A home alone acoustic guitar intro in the "Elfenbenssalarna", before it's getting wipeout by the bass and guitar, distorted and monstrous, a psychedelic masterpiece that passes the ten minutes line, close your eyes and get lost in all the hallucinogenic tones the band creates, this is a totally stunning piece. "Tentakler & Betar" flows in the progressive vain, a great groove, twisted riffs. The album closes up with "Angra Mainyu", a beautiful piece with a lot of twists and changes, feels a bit trippy and far out. "Eorþe" is a spectacular mix with an interesting story that gives you a listener SKRAECKOEDLANs finest hour.
Sum: "Eorþe" is a must-have, even if you are a hardcore stoner freak or a fuzz-head, learn Swedish and you will gain even more.
Today's tune "Elfenbenssalarna", "A prelude to the end. The moments of bliss before the imminent doom. We have journeyed to the place where it all unfolds, where the unseen rests and the secrets of the past lay buried. Here we too will become shrouded in mystery, riddles to be solved by those not yet granted a time and place in existence. Whatever the answers, one naked truth stands absolute. None shall leave the Ivory Halls."
MÅNESKJOLD hails from the concrete of Copenhagen and the woods of North Sealand. The band was envisioned by frontman Rasmus Miehe Soerensen when he saw the word “Måneskjold” carved into an old oak tree. Or was it maybe graffiti on someone’s mailbox? Anyhow, the name seemed ideal for a sort of retro-futuristic spacepunk outfit. Thus, Måneskjold was created.
MÅNESKJOLD plays guitardriven fuzzmusic for the alienated youth of a premordial future. Space-rock is THE answer to the question concering life, universe & everything.
They released a Split single with DE FORBANDEDE where we find today's tune.
The tune is recorded live at DE FORBANDEDE in Odense. MÅNESKJOLD will soon enter the studio and working on their second full length album.
The Cover art for the EP is made by NMAAR.
Today's tune "Solsejler" is taken from the split EP with DE FORBANDEDE, released Oct 26th 2018, enjoy!
MOTHER MOOCH are a five piece Fuzz Rock band from Dublin, Ireland.
Their sound has been likened to QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, BLACK SABBATH, PJ Harvey and "ALICE IN CHAINS with a female singer", with songs described as having “enough hooks to fill a fisherman’s basket”. Taking their name from a misheard BLACK SABBATH lyric and their inspiration from a wide range of rock and punk acts from the 1970s, through 90’s grunge, alternative and desert/stoner rock right up to the current heavy psyche scene: MOTHER MOOCH is the amalgam of each member’s eclectic music tastes combined to form something uniquely their own.
After spending several years honing their lineup, sound and live show, MOTHER MOOCH shifted gears in 2015, taking their first steps into Ireland’s festival scene with performances at Canalaphonic, Knockan Stockan and a storming set at Electric Picnic’s Oxjam Stage. Their only non-festival appearance of the summer was opening for former QOTSA/KYUSS legend Nick Oliveri for the second year running.
Since the release of their EP/Demo “Preludes” in March, they have been attracting fans from around the globe – UK, US, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, France and more.
In July 2015 MOTHER MOOCHs song "Into The Water" was selected by seminal underground website Doomed & Stoned.com for inclusion on their latest compilation album "The Enchanter's Ball", which highlights the rise of female-fronted heavy rock bands from around the world.

"He Dreams of Lions" is the third album release from the Memphis fuzz rock trio THE HEAVY EYES. Following is from their 2011 self-titled debut, and 2012's successful "Maera" album, THE HEAVY EYES return with their most accomplished record to date.
"He Dreams of Lions" contains eleven great tunes that have enough fuzz to start the curl in your hair, like an poodle and they have the balls to begin a tune with the lines "Gather round, come one, come all, to the greatest show on earth", that's bold, but do they give the flying fuzz, na, I don't think so. The influences are strong, you can hear the heavy and psychedelic parts from BLACK SABBATH and QUEEN OF THE STONE AGE, the garage punkish from NIRVANA, the blues rock from LED ZEPPELIN and some surfs from THE BEACH BOYS, stoner bricks from FU MANCHU great mix...hell yeah! I love this.
"He Dreams of Lions" kicks of with hypnotic guitar riffs and heavy pounding drums on the track "Shadow Shaker" to move on to the unbridled rudeness of "Saint" and the sheer importance of the fuzzy "Z-Bo" where the thick hard rock riff comes fast through the distorted fuzz boxes that it almost melts down into a black plastic-glob. "Littlefinger" starts with a fuzzy bee stuck in the ventilation shaft before it gets loose and in "Smoke Signals" the drums are in focus with it's indian skin breaking drum beats. "He Dreams of Lions" is a nice title song where the intro reminds me of JOHNOSSI before it get's on to be a smokey THE HEAVY EYES tune with some cool "Yohoo" here and there. Heavy gnarled bass lines in marvellous "The Fool". The album closes nicely with the almost 8 fuzzy guitarish minute long "Modern Shells", strokingthe strings up and down until it ends in an acoustic swamp blues.
This is Psychedelic blues rock from the delta that sounds similar to a skeleton driving a speed boat on a flaming Mississippi River headed back to 1969.
Today's tune "The Fool" is taken from "He Dreams of Lions", Enjoy! Trip over to their facebook and hit like for gods sake!
Since their formation in 2009, the young members of SKRAECKOEDLAN have left a big footprint in the Swedish underground scene. In 2011 the critically acclaimed debut album “Äppelträdet” was released on Transubstans Records. The follow up record "Sagor", is set to be released June 10th 2015. In cooperation with the association Blå Huset, they present a release gig in their hometown Norrköping. The evening offers three awesome bands (SKRAECKOEDLAN, HONG FAUX and SKURK) and a real party!
SKRAECKOEDLAN serves you a buffet of heavy fuzz rock with its roots deeply planted in the riffing of BLACK SABBATH, the 90’s pop choruses of WEEZER and MASTODONs modern progressive metal. Combine this with lyrics in Swedish and a cryptozoological theme and you have a fraction of a description of SKRAECKOEDLANs sound. We’re thrown on a musical space ship in orbit around the solar system, where the melodies are in the centre and the dreamlike atmosphere always stays persistent.
Since their inception, SKRAECKOEDLAN have done over 120 shows in both Sweden and the rest of Europe. Mostly on their own but also as a support act for KYLESA, ORANGE GOBLIN and TRUCKFIGHTERS.
The upcoming album "Sagor" have been recorded in several studios during a two years period. They have been worked with technicians and producers such as Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH) and Niklas Berglöf (GHOST, DEN SVENSKA BJÖRNSTAMMEN). Erik Berglund has mixed it all and been an important part of finding the perfect sound for the record.
During the creation of "Sagor" did the band get in contact with Anders Friden (IN FLAMES) and his record label Razzia Notes, which will release the upcoming album.
The band consist of:
Henrik Grüttner
(Guitaring, backup singing)
Martin Larsson
(Drumming)
Robert Lamu
(Singing/guitaring)
Tim Ångström
(Bassing/backup singing)
