The year is 2014, the month is February and the most extreme, blackest and fearful of tours settles over Europe.
Cradle Of Filth and Behemoth embarks on co-headline tour and nineteen dates are booked over that continent which one of them is at Tyrol in Stockholm on February 25 (Yesterday).
Behemoth may have been a classic black metal band originally, but it was not enough for the brutal multi talented Negal and mixed into death metal, progressive and experimental elements which led to the multi-faceted beast Zos Kia Cultus (2002). After having conquered and defeated all of Evangelion (2009), it was leukemia as the front man had to master and from the fire's ashes rose the man who wears the "holy scripture" in pieces and created the album The Satanist (2014) that you according to Nergal's statement below would expect while the tour starts.
The support bands on the tour is the Swedish In Solitude, Chilean / American Inquisition and Norwegian Svarttjern.
A quick summary of the evening was that behemoth actually owned the place. What was most baffling that not Behemoth got to be the last slot this evening, got told that they ran every other gig as headliner and the Stockholm show it was the Cradle Of Filths turn, which you could see as soon as Behemoths show was over, 2/3 of the audience went home.
Norwegian Svarttjern was a fairly pleasant surprise, okey in my ears, pretty good swing in the songs. Chilean / American Inquisition delivered really good, nice to get the chance to see them live. Clearly exceeded expectations. Swedish In Solitude delivered an okay show, a little shaky at first, but came back at the end, the tune Sister was really powerful live. Cradle Of Filth as a final act with only a couple hundred people in the audience probably was not as they had expected, I thought it was pretty boring actually.
Live rates:
Svarttjern 3/5
Inquisition 4/5
In Solitude 3/5
Behemoth 5/5
Cradle Of Filth 2/5
