Pearl Jam - The Fixer
Pearl Jam is an American rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. Since its inception, the band's line-up has included Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), and Mike McCready (lead guitar). The band's current drummer is Matt Cameron, formerly of Soundgarden, who has been with the band since 1998.
September 20 was the date of the ninth studio album called "Backspacer" Pearl Jam chose to go back to working with producer Brendan O'Brien. The album was the group's first album to be produced by O'Brien since the band's 1998 album, Yield. The artwork for the album was handled by editorial cartoonist Dan Perkins, who goes by the pen name Tom Tomorrow.
"Men, we all think we can fix anything. It's not necessarily a good thing. In a relationship, a woman will say 'This is wrong,' and we're like, 'I'll fix that, don't worry about it, we can fix it.' These wonderful people, the woman you're in a relationship with, they don't want you to fix it. They just want you to listen to what's happening: 'Don't fix it, I want you to own this with me—feel it.' This is a reminder song to me, to stop fixing."
