California-Nashville rock outfit RIVAL SONS offer a look at stage performances on the road and behind-the-scenes snippets in the video for their new song, "Do Your Worst". This is the first new music to be made available from the band's forthcoming LP, expected to arrive early next year on Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb's Low Country Sound imprint via Atlantic, which was recorded at Studio A and the equally legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
"Do Your Worst" is a great rocker with a gritty lead guitar riff, rough and catchy drumming and powerful vocals with catchy chorus.
Buchanan said he and RIVAL SONS guitarist Scott Holiday wrote “Do Your Worst” during a session in south Tennessee. “Sometimes environment really shapes a song,” he said. “Hunkered down in a threadbare shack deep in the south Tennessee woods we (Scott and I) sweated it out and just wrote for a week straight. We were set out on an old causeway surrounded by neglected reservoirs and overgrown with shit you don’t want to see and yes; infested with all manner snakes. The song is a whiskey nightmare crawling with copperheads to me.”

Maryland rockers CLUTCH are tentatively set to release their new album, "Book Of Bad Decisions", in September 7. The album was recently completed at Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer and engineer Vance Powell (THE WHITE STRIPES, RED FANG).

Here's the story behind "Gimme the Keys".
The song is about the band's first tour back in 1991, a time where they began to cut their teeth in the live music business, dealt with show cancellations and incidents on the road. One particular show in a shed surrounded by cornfields in Lawrence, Kansas ultimately turned ugly over a missing microphone and accusations brought by drunk and gun-toting security people at the end of a long day. "Gimme the keys they can keep the guarantee | Gimme the keys and get the hell out of dodge" is a reflection of the mood of that night.

The Swedish occult rockers GHOST have released a video for their brand new tune "Square Hammer", taken from their brand-new Popestar EP.
The five-track title is released today (September 16), following third full-length album Meliora, which was launched last year.

The American hard rock band SHINEDOWN have released a new single "Cut The Cord", taken from SHINEDOWNs upcoming fifth album.
The band is from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2001 and founded by members Brent Smith (vocals), Brad Stewart (bass), Jasin Todd (guitar), and Barry Kerch (drums). A few lineup changes followed, and the band's current lineup consists of Smith and Kerch, the band's only two remaining original members, with guitarist Zach Myers, and bassist/pianist Eric Bass. Since Shinedown's inception, they have released four albums: Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008), and Amaryllis (2012), and a total of 19 singles.

REFUSED are back again. Their latest album, The Shape of Punk to Come, released in 1998. After a reunion tour in 2012 saw it a long time as it once was over for the influential hardcore band.
Now REFUSED announce their first album in 17 years. Freedom released on June 30, was produced by Nick Launay (ARCADE FIRE, KATE BUSH, NICK CAVE), and two of the songs; Elektra and 366, was written together with the Swedish producer duo Shellback previously written hits for (uh ...) BRITNEY SPEARS and TAYLOR SWIFT.
"It's no longer a question about a reunion," says the band's lead singer Dennis Lyxzén. "This is perhaps the most radical we've ever done, both musically and lyrically."
REFUSED is a Swedish hardcore punk band originating from Umeå, formed in 1991. In total the band released five EPs and three full-length albums before originally splitting up in 1998. Refused is composed of vocalist Dennis Lyxzén, guitarist Kristofer Steen, drummer David Sandström and bassist Magnus Flagge. Guitarist Jon Brännström was a member from 1994, through reunions, until being fired late 2014. Their lyrics are often of a non-conformist and politically far-left nature

Swedish black metal miscreants, Dark Funeral have released a new video for the track “Nail Them To The Cross” via Century Media Records. The track is part of a limited 7″ single and along with another track will be unleashed sometime in 2015. Until then, you can check out the video down below.
"Nail Them To The Cross" was recorded at Dugout Studios in Uppsala, Sweden and was mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand. The clip was directed by Owe Lingvall.
A strictly limited seven-inch single including "Nail Them To The Cross" and another new track will be released in early 2015.
In 2012, Dark Funeral signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records.
Dark Funeral celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013 with a number of festival appearances all over Europe. They were joined at the gigs by their "classic" vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula, who left the band on good terms for personal reasons in 2010.
Formed in 1993 by Lord Ahriman, the band quickly gained massive underground support by being one of the most ferocious and fastest black metal acts on earth. Since then, they have spread their unholy gospel over the whole world and build up a loyal cult following from the coldest parts of the northern hemisphere to the hottest hell of Asia.
After an extensive and exhausting tour through Asia and Australia in late 2012, Dark Funeral parted ways with vocalist Nachtgarm.

roots in the second half of the 90’s black metal scene and with
tentacles in bands such as highly respected Grá, Domgård and Cursed 13
comes a raw force from the underground.
Known as a fierce frontman, both on stage and on recordings with his
previous bands, he will now step up and claim a seat in the throne room
of Dark Funeral to inflict deep scars and infect wounds in the black
metal scene. The name Heljarmadr derives from the old Scandinavian
languages, simply meaning “a man belonging to hell”.
With long
time experience in the arts of creating dark satanic music, he will play
a key role in shaping the future vocal and lyrical direction of Dark Funeral. Expect nothing but excellence, pure darkness and uncompromising
evil!

Spiders is a Gothenburg based band featuring Ann-Sofie Hoyles, John Hoyles, Matteo Gambacorta and Ricard Harryson.
The band was formed in Gothenburg in February 2010. A few months later the band appeared at one of Sweden’s most successful music festivals, Way Out West. It was around this time Spiders for the first time as a band stepped into the studio with producer Don Ahlsterberg (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, International Noise Conspiracy) and started recording.
By the end of January 2011 Spiders released their debut record, a 10” vinyl EP on Crusher Records containing four tracks. The self-titled release was very well received and noticed in Record Collector as well airplayed on Sweden’s largest radio channel P3. In March 2011 those four previously released tracks came to be released in the USA as two separate 7” singles, one on Kemado Records the other on Valley King Records, the latter with an artwork made by well-known artist Alan Forbes.
Around this time drummer Axel Sjöberg, former drummer, left Spiders to work full time on Graveyard and came to be replaced by Ricard Harryson. In May 2011 Spiders stepped into the studio for the second time recording a two track single to be released on vinyl by De:Nihil Records in August and digital by Crusher Records in September.
In June 2012 Spiders began recording songs for their debut album. In early October the very same year the album, entitled “Flash Point”, was released. The album immediately reached the Sverigetopplistan, the Swedish Sales Charts of most sold albums. In November and December Spiders went on European tour together with Graveyard. By the end of the same year Spiders debut album was nominated by P3 Gold (Swedish Radio Award) for best Rock/Metal of the Year.
In 2013 the band appeared on Sweden Rock Festival, toured Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal.
In 2014 Spiders supported Kvelertak in Scandinavia and Blood Ceremony throughout Europe. On May 27th they release the new single and todays tune “Mad Dog” on Reaktor Recordings / Universal Music. Enjoy!
Sonic Syndicate have finally waken up from a 2 years break, with their new "self titled" album recorded at Bohus Recordings (Kungälv, Sweden) and produced by Roberto Lahgi (In Flames, Deathstars), release 4 July. Sonic Syndicate hits the road again playing exclusive shows in Sweden and Germany this summer, and a headlining tour starts in fall.
After the release of their first album, »Eden Fire« (2005), Sonic Syndicate arose from the pulsating underground in 2007 when Nuclear Blast put out their stunningly intense second album »Only Inhuman«. When Nathan Biggs joined the band, Sonic Syndicate came up with a diverse and unique work of art - »We Rule The Night«. After almost 28million youtube views of their official music videos and constantly being on the road or in the studio, the band decided to take a break for the first time since 2005.
