Easter witches (Swedish: "Påskkärring") are an old Swedish legend about witches flying to Blockula (Swedish: "Blåkulla") on brooms on the Thursday before Easter (Maundy Thursday, Swedish: "Skärtorsdagen") or on the night between the Wednesday (Holy Wednesday, Swedish: "Dymmelonsdag") and Thursday before, and returning on Easter. In modern times children dress up as witches, old ladies or in old men's clothing and go door to door distributing greetings and often receiving treats in return.
As time as it is atm with the COVID-19 virus, the children will probably dress up but stay at home and no collection of easter candy will be made so in other words, the "Easter Is Cancelled".
So why not play a tune that suits this day.
"Easter Is Cancelled" is the title tune from the sixth studio album by the British hard rock band THE DARKNESS.

Only a few days ago a real classic band entered Swedish soil for a concert at Friends Arena, a show that was way over my expectations. Axl Rose was in a very condition, good fit, loosed some wait, great song performance so my view point on this man got pretty wipe out since he has acted as a real dumbfuck latly. The expectation for the show was growing a bit since the stand in he did for AC/DC where he showed that he still is a performer and can act as a team member again, keep time and not fuck around. Well done Axl! The two other original members did a superb job, Slash is an excellent guitarist and Duff, wow what a bass player he is and what a persona he have. I could elect him as the star of the night. The others band members for the tour did an amazing job to keep the Guns name up! The opening acts during this evening was BACKYARD BABIES and THE DARKNESS,
So let's play a classic Guns song.
Today's tune "Paradise City" is a song by the American rock band GUNS N' ROSES, featured on their debut album, "Appetite for Destruction" (1987). It was released as a single in November 1988. It is also the only song on the album to feature a synthesizer. (It was Axl Rose's idea). It is most known for its iconic lyrics, "Take me down to the Paradise City, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty." It is also frequently played at sports stadiums during games along with "Welcome to the Jungle", also from Appetite for Destruction.
This was the first song that the original GUNS N' ROSES lineup of Slash, Steven Adler, Duff McKagan, Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin wrote together - all five members are credited as writers. According to McKagan, they started working on it during one of their first rehearsals, and it started with some lyrics he brought from a notebook.
On 93.1 WIBC FM, a radio station in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jake Query, who is a friend of Axl Rose, explained that the part of the song where they sing, "Where the grass is green, and the girls are pretty" is about when Axl Rose and his family would go down to Bloomington, Indiana.
GUNS N' ROSES' lead guitarist, Slash, states that the song was written in the back of a rental van as they were on their way back from playing a gig in San Francisco with the band Rock N Riders. He says that the band was in the back of the van, drinking and playing acoustic guitars, when he came up with the intro. Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin started playing along. Slash started humming a melody when Axl Rose sang, "Take me down to the Paradise City." Slash chimed in with "Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty." Rose sang the first line again, where Slash shouted out "Where the girls are fat and they've got big titties." Rose finished with "Take ... me ... home!" Slash preferred his second line but the rest of the band felt differently. He was outvoted and they used the first line. The band then expanded upon the rest of the lyrics in rounds. Finally Slash wrapped up by coming up with the heavy riff that drives the song.
Much like "Welcome To The Jungle," this was inspired by Los Angeles, where the band was living. The verses deal with the rough life on the streets, but the chorus was based on Axl Rose's memories of the Midwest, with images of green grass, innocence and possibility.
Guitarist Andy McCoy has said that the song is copied from several riffs written by his band, HANOI ROCKS. He has said that the chorus is just a slower version of the riff in "Lost in the City". Axl Rose has often cited HANOI ROCKS as GUNS N' ROSES' biggest influence. HANOI ROCKS' original rhythm guitarist Nasty Suicide can also be seen in the music video for "Paradise City." The style of the main riff of "Paradise City" (involving an ascending chromatic riff) has also been used by many former GUNS N' ROSES members in new projects. This can be seen in Izzy Stradlin's "Bomb" and VELVET REVOLVERs "Do It for the Kids". According to Tracii Guns of L.A. GUNS and former member of GUNS N' ROSES, the riff was influenced by the BLACK SABBATH song "Zero the Hero" from the Born Again album.

Last of Our Kind is the upcoming fourth studio album by the British rockers THE DARKNESS. Produced by guitarist Dan Hawkins at his studio Leeders Farm in Norfolk, the album is due to be released on 1 June 2015 by Kobalt Label Services. It is the first album by the band to feature drummer Emily Dolan Davies, who replaced Ed Graham in 2014.
The follow-up to 2012's "Hot Cakes" was recorded at Leeders Farm Studio in Norfolk, owned by Dan Hawkins. The album was written in Ireland.
Frontman Justin Hawkins has described the album as "brutal", adding that
"It's definitely stripped back with the exception of some mandolins. But when you're doing medieval rock, you should have a mandolin on it ... It's medieval rock, but it still sounds like The Darkness. It's medi-urban, I suppose". Speaking about the style of opening track "Barbarian", Hawkins has joked that the song contains "not one but two dramatic monologues, a guitar solo that has been declared 'irresponsible', a riff that weakens lady knees" and a chorus that makes grown men shit directly into their pants". Explaining the meaning of the lyrics more deeply, the singer has noted that they "describe the Viking invasion of East Anglia which culminated in the decapitation of Edmund the Martyr", describing the thematic basis as "classic Darkness"
"The journey begins: Our new album Last Of Our Kind is being released on the 1st June 2015. Now available to pre-order via Pledge Music where you can get the new track Barbarian instantly. See our awesome new video for Barbarian and we'll have loads more exclusive content, video, photos and merch for you to grab. Keep your eyes and ears peeled and Watch This Space!"
Regarding THE DARKNESS's split with founding member Ed Graham in late 2014, Hawkins said:
"Ed has had some well-publicized health problems in the past. And for one reason or another, he wasn't capable of doing his job anymore. We're still friends with Ed. But now that we have Emily in the band, the worry is gone."
"Last of Our Kind" will be released on limited-edition color vinyl, compact disc and as a digital download.
Today's tune "Barbarian" is the new single taken from the band's fourth album "Last Of Our Kind", which will be released on June 1 in partnership with Kobalt Label Services.
Last Sunday, visited the British glam rock band "The Darkness" Tyrol, Gröna Lund, Stockholm, for a show.
I actually had the opportunity to see these guys play live when they opened up for Lady Gaga last year. So it was about as expected, excellent swing and lightly crazy, however did the band threw in up a gear now when they was the headline.

Todays tune "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" is a song taken from their third studio album, Hot Cakes, released in July 2012.
"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" is the band's first single to be released since their split in 2006. The song features the original line-up of the band. The song was mixed by Mike Fraser.
The music video for "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" premiered online on 23 January 2012, at a total length of three minutes and three seconds. Directed by Thom Lessner and animated by Ted Passon, the video features a longer cut of the song, which features a news introduction in the starting scene. The video features a girl, who is shown as being a big fan of The Darkness, in her room listening to a radio broadcast, which states that all happiness has gone from the world, and that it has become boring. The video then becomes animated as the song begins. The four band members are shown in various scenes, including driving motorbikes down the Lowestoft promenade, past the beach huts, and through a city during the night.

Stefani Germanotta, born March 28, 1986, known by her stage name Lady Gaga, is an American singer and songwriter. As superstar Lady Gaga is a lady that really stands out, many people talk about that she is the new Madonna, she's really on the way unless otherwise. She is the one who has a huge wardrobe (I actually lost count how many costume changes there was, many it was, one cooler than the other) and stylists like the Swedish Bea Åkerlund that makes it possible for Gaga to constantly look as if she is going to a cocktail party in another solar system as Fredrik Strage expressed himself in his review of the gig.
It is with a huge production that Gaga travels around with on the third concert tour "The Born This Way Ball" in support of her second studio album Born This Way (2011). The tour will Consist of Approximately 110 shows in Asia, New Zealand, Australia, and Europe, Followed by Latin America and South Africa towards the end of the year, and then North America beginning in January 2013th.
Since I saw Lady Gaga played in Sweden last time, during her Monster Ball tour in 2010, her performances had grown to mammoth shows, it was pretty much the last time, but this is extreme. The show is set in and around a large medieval style castle, which rotates and manoeuvres throughout the show. A classical score accompanies the show's interludes, tying in with the show's dark, operatic theme. The Born This Way Ball is divided into five acts and is imbued with political and social themes such as discrimination, self-love and government control. Like a space adventure on the planet GOAT (Government Operated Alien Territory). Throughout the history, Gaga simulates giving birth from an inflatable zipper-like, which looked incredibly weird, just like parts of the audience looks like, crazy. She has incredible stage presence, where she in parts of the show is simply talking to the audience who gets the chance to ask questions, but most want to just come backstage. There is a Monster Pit in the middle to the fans who have arrived first, waited all night, dressed to 'Ball.' Every night Haus of Gaga will choose fans from The Monster Pit to come backstage for a meet and greet!
