Easy Action – Eye For An Eye

Sunday, time for a classic.

A fine evening in June 2019 we resurrected a 33-year-old album that, in different ways, meant a lot to the band. A few weeks ago the remastered re-release of "That Makes One" is available. One of the bonus tracks on this release is "Eye For An Eye", a "lost" track only released as a B-side way back when, but we played it live this summer and it turned out to be quite a killer. So here is a taste of what went on that day at Sweden Rock Festival, see the clip below.

EASY ACTION is a Swedish band from Stockholm that was first formed in 1981 by Pelle Almgren (ex-WARHEAD), Henrik "2 meter" Jermsten (ex-STOODES), Bosse Belsen (aka Zinny J. Zan of SHOTGUN MESSIAH/KINGPIN/ZAN CLAN - drums) and Björne Fröberg (bass, ex-WARHEAD). Bosse and Björne quit and were replaced by Ola "Skox" Andersson and drummer Urban "Ubbe" Sundbaum (ex-LUSTANS LAKEJER). Stranded Records became interested and released the single "Honcho Bongo". It didn't sell well and when the second single, "Om Jag Vore Kung", also failed the band split up. Skox and 2 meter formed PSYHEDELIC MONGO and Pelle Almgren started writing songs instead.

EASY ACTION was reformed as a glam metal band in 1982 by Kee Marcello and Alex Tyrone (aka Peo Thyrén). The two played together in the Swedish glam act NOICE when they decided to start the ultimate glam rock band, mixing their influences of 1970s glam with a punk/metal attitude. They met the original singer Bosse Belsen, now named Zinny J. Zan, at the Stockholm rock club Ritz and recorded his vocals on the first demos the very same night. Later the NOICE drummer Fredrik Von Gerber and the guitar player Danny Wilde joined the band. Bassplayer. Per-Olof Thyrén

In 1983 they got signed to the US major label Sire and became the first Swedish band ever to sign a worldwide record deal. After releasing two albums; "Easy Action" in 1983, and "That Makes One" in 1986, the band split up when their guitarist and bandleader Kee Marcello quit the band to join EUROPE, and went on to worldwide success with the band, selling over 30 million albums. Zinny J. Zan went on to join the Skövde glam metal band KINGPIN, later renamed SHOTGUN MESSIAH.

US hair metal superstars POISON used the chorus of EASY ACTIONs 1983 single "We Go Rocking" in their hit single "I Want Action" which led to the members of EASY ACTION suing the American band and winning a financial settlement in the case.

EASY ACTION reunited for a gig at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2006. This was followed by several shows in late 2007, including opening for TWISTED SISTER. In April 2008, the band went in the studio with producer Chris Laney to record a new studio album. In 2011 bassist Micael Grimm died.

On December 18, 2018 EASY ACTION was confirmed to play at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2019. The concert will include a live performance of the album "That Makes One" in its entirety, performed by the line-up that recorded it, including vocalist Tommy Nilsson and guitarists Kee Marcello and Chris Lind.

H.E.A.T - Dangerous Ground

H.E.A.T is one of the finest melodic rock bands to have come out of Scandinavia.

It was way back in 2012 when the talented Swedes released their third album, "Address The Nation", their first with singer Erik Grönwall. That the band took another direction with Grönwall behind the mick and the fanbase grow bigger for every album they released since then. The follow-ups "Tearing Down The Walls" (2014), "Into The Great Unknown" (2017) both had a bit controversial feel and now with the latest release and 6th album "H.E.A.T II" (released February 21st, 2020), they return to their roots.

The album sounds really good and shows really how talented these musicians are. The band has thrown off a superb album full of brilliant tunes, nice guitar riffs and cleaver solos, ear-shattering drums, balanced keyboards an excellent rhythm section, with cool and catchy melodies and at last astonishing vocals.

So visit your local record store and get a great classic melodic hard rock album.

Today's tune "Dangerous Ground" is a hard-edged fast-moving rocker and is one of the high lights on the album.

Eclipse - Delirious

In March 2019 ECLIPSE main songwriter Erik Martensson was voted one of the top 10 songwriters in the world by renowned Japanese metal magazine BURRN! In the years following the release of the 2012 album "Bleed & Scream", ECLIPSE has become one of Sweden’s most prolific heavy rock bands. Together with guitar virtuoso Magnus Henriksson, drummer Philip Crusner and bass player Victor Crusner, ECLIPSE has developed a sound best described as a modern-day heavy rock band with massive hooks, respectful of their roots but with no intention of looking in the rearview mirror.

Since 2012 ECLIPSE has released two additional albums "Armageddonize" 2015 and "Monumentum" 2017. Their latest and 8th album "Paradigm" was released on the 11th of October 2019. They've played some of the world’s largest heavy rock festivals including Wacken, Bang Your Head, Rock Fest Barcelona (3 years in a row) and Sweden Rock. When not headlining their own shows they have opened up for acts like AEROSMITH, SCORPIONS and DEEP PURPLE.

The new album stands as a "Paradigm" for the sound they’ve developed over their last few albums: massive arena choruses over heavy guitars coupled with frontman Erik Martensson's stellar vocals.

Dynazty - Heartless Madness

Swedish melodic metal band DYNAZTY is soon ready to release the seventh full-length studio album "The Dark Delight" on April 3rd via AFM Records. The first single ”Presence Of Mind” was released on January 30th and on February 28th it's was time for the second melodic power rock single "Heartless Madness", see and hear it below.

Formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008, DYNAZTY has since released 6 albums in a mere 10-year window. Straying from their early days of ’80s influenced Hardrock, the band has developed and refined their sound into something that merges the modern metal scene with the past, crafting something wholly unique.

Today the band is comprised of highly respected and sought after musicians, active on the metal scene in more than one way. Bassist Jonathan Olsson can also be seen in both LINDEMANN and PAIN, guitarist Love Magnusson and drummer Georg Härnsten Egg frequently tours with rock legends such as DEE SNIDER and JOE LYNN TURNER. Guitarist Mikael Lavér has been featured with both LINDEMANN and JOE LYNN TURNER, while singer Nils Molin can be heard and seen around the globe with the ever-rising star of fellow Swedish band AMARANTHE.

One Desire - After You're Gone

Finnish hard rockers ONE DESIRE will embark on a tour of the UK and Europe with THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA on March 6th. They also have announced that their second album, "Midnight Empire" will be released on April 10, 2020. The band has released the first single and music video, "After You're Gone". Watch it now, see below!

ONE DESIRE released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, "Hurt" (nearly 2 million views on Youtube, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with ECLIPSE and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.

Heavy Pettin - Sole Survivor

"Sole Survivor" is a tune by the Scottish NWOBHM Heavy Rock Band HEAVY PETTIN.

HEAVY PETTIN was formed in Glasgow in mid-1981 when the band Weeper, comprised of guitarist Gordon Bonnar, bassist Brian Waugh and drummer Gary Moat, added vocalist Steve Hayman and lead guitarist Punky Mendoza to the line-up.

HEAVY PETTIN' first stirred into action when vocalist Hamie, guitarists Gordon Bonnar and Punky Mendoza, drummer Gary Moat and bassist Brian Waugh first burst out of Glasgow in 1981. They were vibrant, priapic, anthemic and focused. As they showed on a three-track demo, and on the subsequent debut single for independent label Neat ("Roll The Dice"/"Love Xs Love"), they were more than mere DEF LEPPARD slaves. In fact, the PETTIN’ had an international sound that owed something to AC/DC, UFO, THIN LIZZY and FOREIGNER, but also had its own raging momentum.

Not that the band found the road straightforward. But, thanks to a work ethic that took them around the country, plus a valuable session for Radio 1’s prestigious ‘Friday Rock Show’, the band eventually landed a crucial deal with the major label Polydor Records. Moreover, their 1983 debut album ("Lettin’ Loose") was co-produced by the creative Mack together with QUEEN guitarist Brian May. Now, that’s pedigree. Amazingly, that album has survived more than 20 years of high-speed hi-tech developments intact. While other, more celebrated records have dated badly, "Lettin’ Loose" re-affirms the belief back then that the Pettin would follow LEPPARD to big time stature. What went wrong at the time has little to do with band, or lack of ambition/talent.

In 2017, original members Hamie, Punky, and Gordon joined by Jez Parry on bass and Michael Ivory on drums performed for the first time in 25 years at Scotland’s WinterStorm. Reinvigorated, HEAVY PETTIN, now joined by ex-GUN guitarist Dave Aitken due to Punky hanging up his guitar and going in to retirement, did several shows in 2018 including a 6 date UK tour, with 3 sold out gigs in Nottingham, London and Edinburgh, as well as 2 sold out headline gigs in Milton Keynes and Glasgow.

The 2019 HEAVY PETTIN’ assault started in North Wales with HRH AOR Festival, then off to Germany’s Headbangers Open Air Festival in July, and a Aug/Sept tour including The Golden Age of Rock Festival Belgium, with Dee Snider and Angel, plus a mainland British tour with RockGoddess. HEAVY PETTIN' are currently finishing out the year recording and mixing a new EP for mid-February release. Hamie has said “…the demand and support for new HEAVY PETTIN material has been so overwhelming, we are excited to say we’re now working on brand new HEAVY PETTIN album too! Which will also be released later in 2020… and it’s going great!"

Pretty Maids - Serpentine

"Undress Your Madness" is PRETTY MAIDS’ highly anticipated follow up to 2016's critically and commercially successful release "Kingmaker", a record that continued the "revitalized" path that the band set out upon with the now stone cold classic albums "Pandemonium" and "Motherland". It's always difficult to follow a successful and inspired record, but with the new single "Serpentine" shows PRETTY MAIDS are still in the freshest and most vital phase of their career since the early 90’s, see it below.

"I think the new album is a kind of continuation of what we’ve done the past ten years,” says singer Ronnie Atkins. "I’m really happy about the way it turned out 'cause there’s a lot of good songs on it in my humble opinion and it’s probably even more melodic than our previous efforts."

The production, as always, is absolutely stellar thanks to Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, AMARANTHE, KOBRA AND THE LOTUS), who has given the band a sound that not only reinvigorates them, but also incorporates the beloved soundscapes of the past. Modern and classic at the same time, if you will. "It’s just a match made in heaven I think. There’s a great chemistry between us, we share the same humor and thoughts about what a good song is, so there’s a lot in common,” continues Ronnie. "Quite simply the most gentle and easy going guy I've ever worked with."

That Ronnie Atkins' voice just gets better and better as the years go by does really mean that PRETTY MAIDS will continue to keep them high ranked as one of the best melodic rock bands in Europe.

“The album was written in a very short period of time,” tells Ronnie Atkins. “Basically it was written in January, just prior to recording it in February this year. So everything was very fresh when we entered the studio, in fact, so fresh that some of the songs were hardly finished when we started, but it all fell into place as we preceded with the recordings."

Halestorm - Uncomfortable

New week and no "Record Of The Week" which hereby takes a little break and comes back to the fall.

This week we focus a little on who comes to the festival Lollapalooza, we will take a little closer look on a few bands that I find interesting and next week we summarize everything.

First out is the true legend of how the two siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale, at the time 13 and 10 years old, agreed to start a band that were going to stick together through thick and thin is widely spread by now. The fact that they now, 21 years later, still honors that contract is quite moving. Together with Josh Smith and John Joe Hottinger they make up the Pennsylvania-based post-grunge/metal quartet HALESTORM. One of the most successful hard rock groups to emerge during the 21st century. Their aggressive but hook-heavy sound has taken the band around the world and won them a huge fanbase, restlessly performing several hundreds of show each year. HALESTORM is fronted by the incomparably charismatic vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale. Her truly blessed pipes has that rare ability to dance on the verge of exploding, but also knowing when to hold back. With a vocal range that impressing it makes understanding how Halestorm so seamlessly can incorporate both piano ballads and sing-along choruses to their expression, without ever losing the rawness, easier.

HALESTORM released their self-titled debut in 2009 which immediately caught the attention of rock lovers. 2013 saw their sophomore effort "The Strange Case Of…" that won them a Grammy for Best Hardrock/Metal Performance. After "Into The Wild" (2015) with four top 10 mainstream hits, HALESTORM returned last year with the widely celebrated "Vicous". Here we find the golden children of modern rock once again waving the flag of rock with pride and power. But HALESTORMs live show remains their backbone and given the fact the band barely left the road for the last 20 years, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they are considered to be one of the greatest live acts around.

Fire Down Below - Hymn Of The Cosmic Man

Monday, time to introduce "Record Of The Week".

The Belgian group FIRE DOWN BELOW has with their second album release "Hymn Of The Cosmic Man" made themselves one of the most interesting grungier space rock band out there at the moment, where influences from classic bands like KYUSS and TOOL runs in their veins, a good mix in other words. Heavy distorted riffing, melodic harmony, cleaver vocals around a superb rhythm section with tricky and neat variation in the structures makes this album a treat for your ears.

From the grandiose and doomy instrumental opening tune "Red Giant" and the faster paced rocker "Ignition/Space Cruiser" sets trail how wildly this album sprawls, almost that they looses track of them self but manages to remain on the edge. "Saviour Of Man" is a catchy and wild rocker, "The Cosmic Pilgrim" is a swelling, gritty thing to the opposite atmospheric and softer tune "Nebula". "Ascension" opens up with a babbling guitar sound, that slowly builds up before it levels up in a soft crescendo until it's time again. The album closer "Adrift In A Sea Of Stars", is monster the clocks in just over 11 mins, the tune is made in two parts where the first half have a rockier approach and the second is more progressive and instrumental with superb lead melodies and interesting musicianship.

That this follow up to the 2016 debut, "Viper, Vixen, Goddess, Saint" is a big step forward, well done guys. "Hymn Of The Cosmic Man" was released on June 8 via by Ripple Music. The album was mixed by Brad Boatright (WINDHAND, SUNN O))), BELL WITCH)

TNT - Not Feeling Anything

Hard rock and heavy metal lifers will certainly be no strangers to the history and longevity of Norwegian rockers TNT. 36 years after they were formed in Trondheim, TNT is still very much alive and kicking. Albums like "Knights of the New Thunder", "Tell No Tales" and "Intuition" still stands firmly as classics in international rock history. After celebrating the 30th anniversary of "Tell No Tales" in 2017, the band released its 13th studio album, aptly named "XIII" released on June 8, 2018 on Frontiers Music.

The album "XIII" features founding members Ronni Le Tekro (guitar) and Diesel Dahl (drums) alongside bassist Ove Husemoen, and new vocalist Baol Bardot Bulsara, who has replaced the recently departed Tony Harnell. Baol is a stunning Spanish vocalist whose debut with the band happened in front of 8000 rabid fans in November 2017 when the band opened for German hard rock legends the SCORPIONS in Oslo, Norway. Not only did Boal survive this trial by fire, but he did so with flying colors!

Hardcore Superstar - AD/HD

"AD/HD", the new video from Gothenburg, Sweden-based rockers HARDCORE SUPERSTAR. The song is taken from the band's 11th studio album, "You Can't Kill My Rock 'N Roll", which will be released tomorrow, September 21. The album have 12 tunes that almost for sure is totally ear splitting!

Recorded throughout 2017 and early 2018 at the beautiful Österlyckan (Wooden Hybrid) studios near Gothenburg, the album was produced by the bandmembers themselves and mixed in Stockholm by Dino Medanhodzic.

Said the band: "'You Can't Kill My Rock 'N Roll' isn't just a statement of confrontation and rebellion, it's a celebration of everything we love, the music, the lifestyle, this is our religion, it's our choice, and it's everything we believe in."

The Night Flight Orchestra - This Time

After taking the world of rock music by storm with last year's surprise hit "Amber Galactic", which also got nominated for a Swedish Grammy in the process, and leaving people speechless after a breath-taking first European tour in November/December, Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA have completed the works on their impatiently awaited next album.

"Sometimes The World Ain't Enough" was again produced by the band themselves and was recorded at Handsome Hard Music / Larsson Music Studio as well as Nordic Sound Lab in Skara, Sweden. Mixing duties were taken on by the band's guitarist/percussionist Sebastian Forslund and mastering was done by Thomas ”Plec” Johansson at The Panic Room. Set to be released on June 29 via Nuclear Blast.

Recording the video for our first single ”This Time”, was like combining different dimensions in a space cocktail. Numerous times during the video shoot, band members had to call the tax authorities, to confirm their names in the register, to make sure they had not lost all contact with reality. The result is surely mesmerizing and will take you on a journey that will be hard to digest. This is also our first video featuring the ”The Airline Annas”, our beautiful and super talented back up singers. They certainly made this video sparkle. The song itself, is the album opener and might not be representative for the whole album - no song really is, but we just like it that way. We make albums and each and every song leads it’s own little life and together they form a celebratory album with class, hooks and a bass that could walk a million miles without stopping for a drink. This trailblazer of a song used to be just ours, now it’s yours too.”

Fatal Smile - For The Last In Line

Saturday, busy day, Record Store Day, if I'm at home always try to prioritize and this Saturday I got a few hours to spend in town to fetch up some new stuff and say hello to the store owners, left with 2 bags of records (more of that later this week, I hope) to meet up with my youngest daughter that had a soccer event with her team. Finally at home, writing this before it's time for dinner and a change over of my self to the evening looking good outfit. Because it's time for some party, a good friend of mine is turning one year older, one of the milestone birthdays, today it's an even number and he throws out a big birthday party, where both I and Thetania will attend to. I believe it will be an awesome evening, many friends to say hello to and some new to meet.

My friends are known as Blade (Thomas Emblad) in the rock act FATAL SMILE, a band that had a strong and solid reputation internationally and achieved great success with their 2nd album "Neo Natural Freaks". Thomas is a joyful man, very social and caring, a mate who is close when needed. A very sympathetic colleague while on the roads, simply a nice guy to work with, we had a lot of fun for a couple of years, still have when the time comes. So today we celebrate Thomas with a great tune he wrote to celebrate "Ronnie James Dio" Happy Birthday man, see you tonight!

RIOT V - Victory

Musically, RIOT V has bestowed on us a small history lesson in their brand new studio album “Armor Of Light” tracing right back to their roots, and for fans of the legendary “Thundersteel” album from 1988 - their mouths will already be watering at the prospect! For the new record, the band has brought everything to the table that has distinguished RIOT since the very beginning, venerating their 1988 classic’s 30th anniversary on the highest level. Enthusiasts can expect aggressive songs but perfectly formed in the enthralling melodies.

Chris “The Wizard” Collier (METAL CHURCH, FLOTSAM & JETSAM, SLIPKNOT and KORN etc.) produced RIOT V’s new album. Thus, not only the songs but also the entire sonic characteristics of the record have a very unique touch to them. Mariusz Gandzel (CRYSTAL VIPER) fabricated the stylistically flawless artwork.

John Norum - Love Is Meant To Last Forever

Sunday, time for a classic.

1987 was the year for the solo debut by John Norum and the release date for "Total Control", he is most known as the guitarist in the Swedish hard rock band EUROPE.

The album features two cover songs, "Back on the Streets", written by former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent with country artist Richard Kinky Friedman and originally recorded by the band 3-Speed for a 1984 movie soundtrack, and "Wild One" by THIN LIZZY.

The album´s producer Thomas Witt is/was Norum´s stepfather, a former drummer for Eddie Meduza and a high-ranking manager at CBS/Sony in Sweden at the time.

"Total Control" is dedicated to Tommy Östervik, one of John's friends and heroes, who died in a drowning accident the same night as EUROPE played a concert that later was broadcast on Swedish television.

Norum toured Scandinavia in early 1988 with a line-up consisting of himself, Edman, Jacob, keyboardist Mats Olausson (Yngwie Malmsteen, TALISMAN) and ex-TRASH drummer Hempo Hildén. After the tour, a collaboration with PHENOMENA and DEEP PURPLE singer/bassist Glenn Hughes was announced and Edman and Jacob were let go. The collaboration was short-lived and resulted only in a short televised live performance from Gothenburg. Edman and Jacob replaced Hughes for the booked summer tour but were let go once again when Norum and Hildén were recruited by Don Dokken for his solo album and tour.

Jono - Crown

Swedish band JONO started as a solo project of singer Johan Norrby (hence the moniker ”JoNo”), who has been singing, writing, and playing music in various bands and projects over the years. This applies also for all the other members of the band. Guitarist Stefan Helleblad is a member of Dutch symphonic sensations WITHIN TEMPTATION, Drummer Nicka Hellenberg also played all the drums on WITHIN TEMPTATIONs "The Unforgiving" and has an impressive resume involving bands and recordings. Both keyboard player Johan Carlgren and bass player Janne Henriksson are frequently hired for both live and studio sessions. Leo Olsson – also a busy musician – joined the band in 2015.

JONO’s music is hard to pinpoint. Maybe it's best described as melodic rock with symphonic and progressive elements, always based on strong melodies with bombastic arrangements. Dynamics and a contemporary, fat sound are important ingredients in the JONO musical recipe. Their music has been said to show the influence of great artists like Queen, Supertramp, Kansas, Journey and Sparks, but above all the band has received a lot of credit and praise because of their unique sound.

The band says: 'We are very thrilled and proud about our cooperation with Frontiers Music Srl, a label which is home to so many great artists we truly respect and admire. As a band, this is an excellent opportunity to reach the international markets we've been aiming for. We can't wait to release the coming album, and of course hit the stage to be heard and seen by a wider audience, meeting with old and new fans. See you all out there!'

Pink Cream 69 - Walls Come Down

"Headstrong" marks the 30th Anniversary of German hard rockers PINK CREAM 69 and what better way to celebrate than by adding yet another gem to their already spectacular discography! Produced by bassist (and renowned producer) Dennis Ward, "Headstrong" sees the same line-up from 2013’s well received “Ceremonial” album return to deliver their 12th studio album overall. And as a special treat, the new release includes a bonus live album featuring songs from across the band’s catalogue.

PINK CREAM 69 was founded in 1987 by singer Andi Deris, guitarist Alfred Koffler, drummer Kosta Zafiriou, who were later joined by bassist Dennis Ward. Deris left the band in 1994 and after auditioning various singers was replaced by Englishman David Readman. In 2001, news emerged that guitarist Alfred Koffler suffered from Focal Dystonia, a serious disease that affected his left hand and his playing. For their upcoming live shows, the band recruited second guitarist Uwe Reitenauer to help out Alfred on stage and he would eventually become a full-time member. Drummer Chris Schmidt would later step in after the departure of Zafirou in 2012.

Revolution Saints - I Wouldn't Change A Thing

REVOLUTION SAINTS, the band featuring Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH), Doug Aldrich (THE DEAD DAISIES, WHITESNAKE, DIO), and Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES), will release its second album, "Light In The Dark", on October 13 via Frontiers Music Srl.

"Light In The Dark" will be available on CD, CD/DVD deluxe edition (includes live bonus tracks on the CD and on the DVD, footage from the band's first-ever live performance captured at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan this past April, a "making-of" mini-documentary, and music videos for "Light In The Dark" and "I Wouldn't Change A Thing"), vinyl, and as a special limited-edition box set (includes the deluxe edition CD/DVD, 180-gram vinyl, T-shirt [size L], poster, lithograph and sticker).

For "Light In The Dark", REVOLUTION SAINTS once again teamed up with producer/songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE, JORN), who was also behind the boards for the band's debut album. Most of "Light In The Dark" was recorded at Del Vecchio's studios in Somma Lombardo, Italy, with additional recording taking place at Blades's studio in Washington, Aldrich's CasaDala studio in Los Angeles, and other countries all over the world while Aldrich was on tour with THE DEAD DAISIES.

The record builds off the classic melodic rock style of the debut, but fans should prepare for a somehow even more inspired set and a few (pleasant) surprises. Inspiring, uplifting, emotionally powerful, and thoughtful, this album WILL be the soundtrack to many a moment in your life.

H.E.A.T. - Eye Of The Storm

The Swedish melodic hard rock group  H.E.A.T. will release "Into The Great Unknown" today.

H.E.A.T. was formed in Upplands Väsby in 2007, when the prior bands DREAM and TRADING FATE merged into H.E.A.T.

After one and a half years of intense songwriting, with guitarist Dave Dalone (aka Sky Davis) back in the mix, the band went on a questionable trip to record an album in Thailand, once again with Swedish Grammy award-winning producer Tobias Lindell. With 10 top songs in their cannon, H.E.A.T entered the heavenly Karma Sound studios in the outskirts of Bangkok to record what would become the fifth studio album. Once again the band continue the musical landscape with an innovative, highly explosive and refreshing melodic rock sound and an unforgettable collection of fantastic new songs.

"Into The Great Unknown" is the follow-up to 2014’s critically acclaimed "Tearing Down The Walls". 2012’s successful "Address The Nation" album was praised worldwide as one of the best albums of the year, and consolidated the H.E.A.T’s growing reputation as the new leading band in hard edged melodic rock.

In 2009, H.E.A.T had a huge hit in Scandinavia with the song "1000 Miles". Headed by frontman Erik Grönwall, the band's heavy sound is strongly influenced by past melodic rock groups such as WHITESNAKE, with H.E.A.T having supported musical acts such as SCORPIONS.

Two days ago and prior the release of their new studio album, H.E.A.T premieres the official music video for their brand new single “Eye Of The Storm” today.

Erik Grönwall tells about the tune: “In a hurricane there is a treacherous place, after the initial big wind… as the centre of the storm passes over where it is seemingly calm and still and safe. This is always temporary and what happens next is the strongest and most dangerous part of the storm. That is often the same scenario in relationships. That calm in the “Eye Of The Storm” tricks people into taking their breaths and letting down the guard. Then the winds of emotion hit again and even harder..” 

The band will support the release by a UK and European tour in November 2017, see the dates below.

THE DEAD DAISIES latest studio album "Make Some Noise” was released on August 5, 2016.

THE DEAD DAISIES were formed by guitarist and songwriter David Lowy, whose keen instinct and clear vision has guided the recruitment of an amazing revolving lineup of renowned musicians since the band's inception in 2012. Initially, Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed of GUNS 'N' ROSES, plus THE ROLLING STONES band members Darryl Jones and Bernard Fowler, as well as John Tempesta and Charley Drayton of THE CULT, were involved. Lowy has once again enlisted incredibly talented international stars to record "Make Some Noise". "For me as a vocalist, this kind of high-caliber lineup is an absolute dream come true," enthuses Corabi, continuing: "When you work with THE DEAD DAISIES, everybody is amazingly motivated to deliver top performances."

"Make Some Noise", which was superbly recorded and produced by Marti Frederiksen (AEROSMITH, DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE, BUCKCHERRY) in Nashville in February and March 2016, contains ten originals plus two inspired new incarnations of THE WHO's "Join Together" and CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL's "Fortunate Son".
