RIOT V - Victory

Musically, RIOT V has bestowed on us a small history lesson in their brand new studio album “Armor Of Light” tracing right back to their roots, and for fans of the legendary “Thundersteel” album from 1988 - their mouths will already be watering at the prospect! For the new record, the band has brought everything to the table that has distinguished RIOT since the very beginning, venerating their 1988 classic’s 30th anniversary on the highest level. Enthusiasts can expect aggressive songs but perfectly formed in the enthralling melodies.

Chris “The Wizard” Collier (METAL CHURCH, FLOTSAM & JETSAM, SLIPKNOT and KORN etc.) produced RIOT V’s new album. Thus, not only the songs but also the entire sonic characteristics of the record have a very unique touch to them. Mariusz Gandzel (CRYSTAL VIPER) fabricated the stylistically flawless artwork.

Aqua Nebula Oscillator - Riot

Today it's time for some French psychedelic space rock heavies with the band "Aqua Nebula Oscillator"

Aqua Nebula Oscillator was formed in 2000 by David Sphaèr'os, a fan of dark psychedelic rock culture, parallel dimensions, voodoo, ethnic trance, horror and cult movies from the 20’s to the 60’s, painters like Hieronymus Bosch or Salvador Dali, dark underground literature (H. P. Lovecraft, Isidore Ducasse, Antonin Artaud), UFOs, aliens and they create a similar atmosphere in their music.

Aqua Nebula Oscillator is not a classical rock band. This band is authentic and free and they do almost everything by themselves. They are living in autarky in a 15th century cave that looks like a "cabinet de curiositées" from the 19th century, full of strange instruments, valve amps, echo boxes, skeletons, grigri and strange sculptures!! They create their own costumes, record covers and songs in their universe far away from the nauseous and miserable meanders of this century. Beware, beware it's not just music; it's a way of life!!!

They have done many gigs, a european tour with"the cult". They have been opening for example Sky Saxon, The Dead Weather, The Black Angels, Black Acid and many more. Aqua Nebula Oscillator is a band which have a revolving identity, each album and tour was made with a different formation.

Todays tune "Riot" is taken from the latest and 3:rd album "Third", released 2012. The tune is a ultra tripped and apocalyptic dark and dirty primitive acid garage punk.

Bullet For My Valentine - Riot

Bullet for My Valentine are a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is composed of Matthew Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Paget (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jason James (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Michael Thomas (drums). They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. Financial difficulties dictated the name change, which was followed by a change in music direction. In 2002, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG. The band has stated that their music is influenced by classic metal acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Slayer. The band is part of the Cardiff music scene.

 

Todays tune "Riot" is the second single from the fourth studio album "Temper Temper", released on February 11, 2013. The album was once again produced by Don Gilmore, who worked on the group's last album, 2010's Fever.
