Farsta - Kung Av Mörker

That old punk relics comes to the surface in rock style is hardly anything new. Gurra Ljungstedt and Hasse Edström are two of the Swedish punk luminaries, thanks to their backgrounds in Ebba Grön and Grisen Skriker. A few years ago they formed the rock band Farsta which is now in the process of recording their first album.

The first light is in the recording process is the brand new EP "Kung Av Mörker". During their journey, they have also recruited guitarist Daniel Lagerlof and bassist Peter Helleday. Already after the first glimpse of a second, they understood that this rock orchestra is something to work on.

Farsta insinuates melancholy into in their melodies, reminiscent at times of the Swedish Rock Indie band "Kent". The clear rock sound built together with a voice that is ridiculously close to "Thåström".

This formula for Swedish rock music has been used before, always made the best with a few hoarse vocal cords. Farsta sounds great and feels like they are doing everything just right and I really looking forward to the full length album.

If you are getting curious, then you can check out their video for the title track from their brand new EP below.

Todays tune "Kung Av Mörker" is the title track from the new EP, released December 1st.
