Defecto - Savage

DEFECTO is Denmark’s newest and finest addition to melodic and progressive metal, featuring huge catchy choruses, massive riffs, blazing solos and grandiose symphonies with a modern feel. Being spotted by Grammy award-winning producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA), DEFECTO is, without doubt, the most promising addition to the Danish metal scene since VOLBEAT.

The band's second album "Nemesis" was released on December 1st, 2017. Although they are a relative newcomer to the scene with only 2 albums under their belt, the band already boasts an impressive CV: doing sold out tours in Denmark, touring around Europe, playing at prestigious festivals such as COPENHELL and supporting giants such as METALLICA and RAMMSTEIN.

DEFECTO was formed in 2011 in Copenhagen when singer, guitarist and frontman Nicklas Sonne was approached by the legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA, BLIND GUARDIAN) after hearing Sonne’s music. Wanting to help Sonne record and release his material, they contacted lead guitarist Frederik Møller, as well as bass-player Thomas Bartholin and drummer Lars Jensen in order to create a band that could match Sonne’s unique potential.

Already from the beginning, DEFECTO’s brand of melodic and virtuoso metal was creating a buzz in the Danish metal scene. Released in 2012, their debut EP “Defecto” brought them into the attention of the Danish media, being named “Best Metal Band 2012” by Underground Music Awards.

The release of DEFECTO’s debut album “Excluded” in march 2016 was met with much attention and appraisal throughout the European metal scene, creating a dedicated following for the band and a considerable breakthrough especially in the Danish metal scene.

In December 2017, DEFECTO’s sophomore album “ Nemesis” was released to rave reviews from fans and press alike, both in Denmark and internationally. Following the release, DEFECTO’s signed with Swedish record label Black Lodge Records (IN FLAMES, SABATON, KATATONIA), on which "Nemesis" will be re-released in march 2018. Most recently, DEFECTO joined forces with German booking agency Dragon Productions (SONATA ARCTICA, VOLBEAT, D-A-D, DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY) who will henceforth be booking the band in Europe.

Already boasting an impressive CV, DEFECTO is definitely “one to watch”. 2018 also holds great promise for the band, featuring among many things a tour across Europe with renowned Andorran band PERSEFONE.

Today's tune "Savage" taken from their sophomore album "Nemesis", enjoy! The Video was Directed and edited by: Tobias Scavenius Filmed by: Tobias Scavenius, Sebastian Pichard and Sebastian Falck Stigsby

Volbeat - The Devil's Bleeding Crown

Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie is the sixth studio album by the Danish metal band VOLBEAT. The album was released on 3 June 2016. It is the first album not to feature Anders Kjølholm who left in November the previous year.

In April 2015, Michael Poulsen revealed that he had so far written seven songs for the album. In November 2015 it was reported that bassist Anders Kjølholm had left the band. Kaspar Boye Larsen was announced as the replacement for Kjølholm in May 2016, after having played bass for VOLBEAT on their recent US tour.

On 7 April 2016 VOLBEAT announced the release of "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie". Lead guitarist Rob Caggiano said of the musical content of the album: "There's definitely some stuff that kind of weaves in and out of the record. You know, the last album was leaning heavily towards like the Western stuff and, you know, outlaws and cowboys and that kind of thing, and this is a whole different thing. There's definitely some cool characters and some voodoo stuff on this record, which I always found fascinating." Lead singer Michael Poulsen stated that he believes in the spirit world, saying: "I've always been very interested in the spiritual world and all those kinds of things. Also dark, spiritual things… I guess it's just something that a lot of guys in the metal and rock scene are very into. I just remember very interested in it since I was a teenager, seeing a lot of horror movies, which I still do." Poulsen has also called the album a "spiritual album, because the lyrics are very spiritual. They're not religious; we're not religious believers, but we do believe in the spirit world."

Today's tune "The Devil’s Bleeding Crown", the lead single taken form the brand new album "Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie", released 3 June 2016. Internationally, "For Evigt" (meaning "Forever") was released as the first single on 29 April 2016. The song features Danish singer Johan Olsen of rock group Magtens Korridorer, and is the second collaboration between Olsen and Volbeat following "The Garden's Tale" (2007). "For Evigt" is replaced by "The Bliss" on the North American version, where the Danish chorus sung by Olsen is sung by Michael Poulsen in English.

Psycho Choke - Get Down

The Greeks not only delivers brilliant stoner rock and sludge, there are also a lot harder acts as the little more angrier guys from Thessaloniki, Greece.

PSYCHO CHOKE hail from the island of Greece and formed in 1999 by rhythm guitarist Argy. The band has four albums to their credit with the latest entitled "Unraveling Chaos". Other band members are Bax (rhythm and lead guitars), George Montes (drums), Al Roy (vocals) and Phantomas (bass).

In the spring of 2009 the band started recording their new -long anticipated- full length album called "Unraveling Chaos". It took two months to record it and another six to mix it, reamp it, and master it at Hansen studios in Denmark by Jacob Hansen (NIGHTRAGE, VOLBEAT, MERCENARY). The result of this process was the heaviest shit the band have made.

With a little help from their friends- Gus.G (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIREWIND), Marios Iliopoulos & Olof Morck (NIGHTRAGE) and Jacob Hansen (INVOCATOR, ANUBIS GATE, BEYOND TWILIGHT) PSYCHO CHOKE have created a really vulgar album that contains a good mood of brutality with hard hammer drumming and screaming guitar riffs.

Todays tune "Get Down" is taken from the album "Unraveling Chaos", 2010. Guest solo from Gus-G (FIREWIND). Video is Directed/Shoot/Edit by Gabriel Psaltakis.

The guys recorded its fourth album "Raven Kings" in Creahate Studios in mid-2014.

Guitarist Marcus Sunesson commented on the video: “The ground crumbles, the skies darken and the hills shake as the last music on earth is heard from a mountain top. Four dark figures, still standing. Sounds that paint a fitting masterpiece to accompany the elemental chaos. There is no Sanctuary from the apocalypse, no Salvation. And yet, that is precisely what they offer. Speaking not of good or evil, instead they offer stark reality”.

Heya Folks!

Im really sorry I havent had the time to stop by to talk to ya all.

But now....now.... I HAVE A VACATION  WHO00HOOO!

I did a gig couple of weeks ago...or so, well it was 2 gigs.
With a group ive done sometimes b4.
VOLBEAT.
These guys are really nice as persons!
And did 2 really great shows in Gothenburg and Stockholm.

I flew down from a gig in north part of Sweden to Gothenburg, and one of the
guys I have in Gothenburg, Kevin started up the crew to build up the gear Volbeat had with em.
Hanged folks...houses... and thingies!

Volbeat in Tele2 Arena Stockholm

Volbeat had 2 support bands, first band I dont remember what their name was and cant be arsed to look it up.. as it wasent my cup of tea.
Second band was Iced Earth, a band I did ones b4, pretty good metal!

Volbeat entered the stage and the audience loved em.
I accually heard some of em sang to the last album thats neat!

Its called "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady ladies"
Quite good!

Then I came to my biggest problem How do I get up to Stockholm fast to do the next gig with em.
Cos my drive just told me he had a small car. So i went into the room of the Tour manager and explained my problem. He said, I do think I have a bed free in one of the nightliners. And YES
I got a bed with the light crew bus. A very intresting travel :P
The drank loads of beer and talked Danish...errm altough i do read Danish, but my understanding of it isnt the same im afraid..so a talked Swedish to them and they talked English to me  haha.

We arrived in Stockholm at 09:00 I got up and gather the crew I had waiting for us..and the Danish crew slept one hr more... :p to much beer i guess , lucky me I didnt drank so much :D

Anyway we did a smaching work and Volbeat too.
