PART CHIMP are a noise rock band from London. Founder members, Tim Cedar and Jon Hamilton formed the band from the embers of LIGAMENT in 2000 and were joined by Iain Hinchliffe (SAWYER), Joe Mclaughlin (KLING KLANG) and more recently, Robin Freeman (HAG). They have released 4 albums on Glasgow's Rock Action Records

Today's tune "We're All Gonna Die One Day" is taken from the album "Zombie Techno". The album is a musical document of the anthropocene that dissects and critiques mankind’s devolution via its addiction to technology, the scourge of capitalism, and the plague of distraction. As the Earth’s ecosystem morphs into proverbial white blood cells tasked with ridding itself of the virus of humanity, NETHERLANDS look on in anger, grief...as well as with the last fumes of hope they can muster... and submit a turbulent, psychedelic jaunt through various sonic biomes. "Zombie Techno" is an album that sounds like the musical version of a life flashing before one’s eyes in the moments before death, a sonic apocalypse rendered in an onslaught of primal, visceral drumming, churning synth bass, guitars that oscillate between bludgeoning sludge sledgehammers and searing deathrays of shred, and the occasionally droll, but generally acidic caterwauling polemics of a man actively disassembling the machine of extinction as it consumes us all. Despite the lofty concepts and heavy premise of the album, it carries its formidable weight with the agility and anger of a punk band, the dynamics and melodic intrigue of a prog-rock opus, and a larger-than-life intensity that is as compelling as it is deeply and genuinely terrifying. This is an album that supplies new information with each repeated listen and a rare example of a record that begs to be blasted at masochistic volume as much as it deserves to be afforded the intimacy of headphones. Kooba Tercu - Batman

Friday and it's time for Batman and KOOBA TERCU. A Greek band that plays exotic psychedelic noisy rock that will blow your mind.

Johnny Tercu and his crew spend time in a moist, rat & cockroach infested basement playing something loud and heavy. He ventures pointlessly into nothingness with the same sense of no future as most people in Athens these days. After endless hours of jamming, KOOBA TERCU has distilled the ideas developed over a couple of years in ten songs resulting in something that sounds incredibly familiar but maybe not quite like anything you've heard before.

La Muerte - LSD For The Holy Man

Belgium’s LA MUERTE is an extreme, horrifying interesting, cruel and unexpected band that originally forming in 1983, splitting up in 1994 and sporadically releasing material without officially reforming until 2014, they’ve remained entrenched in the underground. Their music is a blend of noise rock, hardcore punk, dirty rock ‘n’ roll and whatever other unhinged heaviness has been gestating in the minds of the band since their split.

Barren Womb - Drive-Thru Liquor Store

The Trondheim noise rock duo BARREN WOMB is an interesting combo, with their latest album "Old Money / New Lows" and loads touring they finally find their way into Tune Of The Day.

Armed with nothing more than drums, guitars and their voices, they rely mostly on crude dynamics and the power of the riff to hammer their point across. Since their inception in late 2011, the Nordic Heavy Noise Rockers have been raising both eyebrows and hell with their minimalistic approach, earsplitting volume and defiant experimentation. The duo, comprising singer/drummer Timo Silvola and singer/guitarist Tony Gonzalez, make efficient use of crude dynamics and the power of the riff to hammer their point across.

The album was recorded live and mixed by Håkon Gebhardt (MOTORPSYCHO, Bertine Zetlitz, Ida Jenshus), with mastering duties handled by Keijo Niinimaa (ROTTEN SOUND, MORBID EVILS). Adorning the cover is an original painting by artist and longtime collaborator Ole Spangrud. "Old Money / New Lows" was be released February 16th 2018 limited vinyl, digital and on CD, through Spartan Records/Loyal Blood Records.

Kikagaku Moyo - Kodama

Magic things can occur when bands pick their influences from different directions, and that´s what´s happened with KIKAGAKU MOYO and their fusion of western psych and folk rock. While they obviously look to the 1960s and nod to the complexity of the 1970s, they see the music through their very own organic, curious and nuanced prism. In recent years, their music has become more focused and concentrated, with some weirdo pop moves penetrated the deep psych. But they´re still a band capable of exploding from softest stillness to pure jap-style noiserock – and that’s why we love them.

Founders Go Kurosawa and Tomo Katsuradas started as street musicians before the rest of the band one after another joined the gang. Their debut was self-released digitally in 2013 before the rest of the world caught on, and in 2014 it was released on vinyl. That same year the band released another two albums – “Mammatus Clouds” and “Forest of Lost Children” – before going on a tour that took them from Austin Psych Fest to Pustervik in Gothenburg. In 2016 the band’s fourth album “House in the Tall Grass” was released on the Japanese label Guruguru Brain.

Okkultokrati - Hidden Future

One Friday that this feels a bit messy in general, in big need of some heretic sound noise to welcome the long awaited casual weekend, i'm free!! God, that's so nice, even though it is pretty booked with various activities and other things that just have to be done, but still, happy days.

So for the Friday music, well the Norwegian sludge/noise gang OKKULTOKRATI released an interesting record last year "​Raspberry Dawn" where the heretic rock with the noisy sludge approach is at it's top. ​Classic ‘70s riffing, snotty punk, and brash old-school ​metal​​ ​are inventively mixed with pulses and ​spike​s of ​darkwave and ice cold, psychedelic repetition. Wonderful mix to kick of a Friday like this, huh!

Raspberry Dawn will be released on all formats via Southern Lord on September 23rd.

The Canyon Observer - All of Her, Mine

THE CANYON OBSERVER is a five-member post/noise/sludge metal band from Ljubljana, Slovenia. They involve sheer primal agression and atmospheric noise escapades in their music. The band shared stages with bands like RUSSIAN CIRCLES, ROSETTA, GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT, AHAB.

The band also made quite an impression with their cover of NIRVANAs Territorial Pissings that was made for the 20th anniversary of "Nevermind". In October 2011 they released their first EP, "Chapter I: The Current of Her Ocean Brings Me to My Knees". Exactly a year later another EP, "Chapter II: These Binds Will Set You Free, followed". It saw the band’s expansion of the previous heavy, nasty noise with inclusions of progressive and even more daring concepts. They just released a new album, their first full-length, called "FVCK". Available Vinyl, digitally and on CD. Released by KAPA Records in cooperation with Vox Project.

FVCK is the embodiment of senses overcome with animalistic overload that turns them into nonsensical pleasures of nothingness. FVCK is cruel, merciless lust that devours the body with the power of a thousand orgasms. This time, it features even more horror-like screams, more fearsome growls and creepier chantings by Matic Babič. Darker guitars, heavier riffs and more intriguing entwinings of string by Gašper Letonja and Miloš Miloševič. More atomic booms, more vociferous rituals and lower frequencies of the rhythm section, bass player Nik Franko and drummer Simon Intihar.

Dot Legacy - Kennedy

Today we say hello to four french youngsters in DOT LEGACY! A band that has not really decided which leg they should stand on. Absolutely nothing bad about it, but rather on the contrary, it immediately becomes very interesting, especially if you can deal with all the influences and styles, which these young gentlemen doing splendidly. They have a great attention to the details and arrangements to keep a solid rock base.

These rockers make you jump between Stoner, Noise and even Post-Rock, often using wild or sophisticated subgenres absolved from meaning whatsoever.

Royal Blood - Royal Blood

Number 6 on Tune Of The Days best album list of year 2014 is the British brash-rock duo "Royal Blood" that kicks us in the ass with the self titled début album.

Royal Blood with their mixture of anguished cocky vocals, vigorous drumming and bass of chugging menace. A tight bind of rhythm and noise that will kick you off your hard wooden chair! Royal Blood have made a very fresh and inventive album that works all the way from beginning to end. This is a fantastic record that is definitely worth to add to your collection.

On the 23rd of Mars next year these duo will play at Debaser Medis, Stockholm, Sweden. A show that I am almost certain it will be sold out, if it's not already.

Royal Blood - Ten Tonne Skeleton

New week, which means it's time to present this week's "Record Of The Week"

The British brash-rock duo "Royal Blood" hits us in the face with the self titled début album.

The thing with the guitar and drums duo, is something we have learned to understand nowadays. Bands like The White Stripes got a big success with their duo, likewise with Swedish Johnossi. This Brighton duo makes it even heavier by changing the guitar against a bass guitar, but Mike Kerr choose to treat it as a guitar most of the time.

So how does it sounds then?, well the "Guitar" is a bit heavier than normal, but sounds amazing and very noisy :) and is nothing that usually comes out from a bass guitar. The skin-pounding beating is made by Ben Thatcher, who really know how to treat the drums. The band's sound is reminiscent of and rooted in modern garage rock and blues rock. If I should make some comparisons to something I could say that I hear some shades of Queens Of The Stone Age and The White Stripes and some early rock 70's stuff like Led Zeppelin.

The band, composed of bassist/singer Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher, was formed in Worthing in 2013, and played their first gig a mere two days after Kerr's return to England from his "working holiday" in Australia. During the summer of 2013, Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders was seen wearing a shirt supporting the band (before the release of their first single) during their Glastonbury Festival concert in July. On 11 November 2013, the duo released their debut single, "Out of the Black", which came with a B-side called "Come On Over".

In November 2013, it was announced that Royal Blood would be supporting Arctic Monkeys for two Finsbury Park shows in May 2014. In December 2013 Royal Blood were nominated for the BBC Sound of 2014.

Royal Blood released their second single, "Little Monster", on 11 February 2014. The band also released a four-track EP, featuring "Out of the Black", "Little Monster", "Come On Over" and "Hole" on 11 March 2014 in North America. Their debut album, Royal Blood, was released on 25 August 2014 to commercial success & was well-received by critics. Royal Blood was verified by the Official Charts Company as the fastest-selling British rock debut album in three years in the UK.

Royal Blood performed at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas in March 2014; at Liverpool Sound City festival and at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow in May; and at Download Festival and Glastonbury Festival in June. They performed at T in the Park festival in July, and at Reading festival as well as Osheaga in August 2014.

Mike Kerr has previously used the name Royal Blood when living in Australia in 2012, working with drummer Matt Swan.

A video clip for "Out of the Black" entered rotation as part of cable network AXN Japan's "AXN Tunes" program in October 2014; music videos aired on-the-hour as filler in between regularly scheduled, syndicated programming.

In October 2014, Royal Blood announced details of their biggest European tour to date, starting in Germany on 10 January, and ending in Sweden on 23 March.

Whores - I'm an Amateur at Everything

Atlanta has Whores, but not just any Whores, these Whores are undoubtedly the most noise sensitive of them all! Formed in Spring 2010, Atlanta, US. The noise merchants Whores are (Christian Lembach - Vocals/Guitar, Jake Shultz - Bass, Travis Owen - drums).

The band signed with Brutal Panda Records in 2011 and released their debut, Ruiner. After numerous tours and shows across the US with the likes of Torche, Kylesa and many others did the band follow up with their sophomore release Clean. Recorded in May 2013 by Ryan Boesch (Melvins, Helmet, Tomahawk, Fu Manchu) at Parhelion Recording Studios in Atlanta.

Whores refine their crushingly heavy, catchy as fuck rock to violent perfection, it's raw, it's serious. it's a blast!
