Rammstein - Zeit

"Zeit" is the brand new single from the German shock metal band RAMMSTEIN, the single is the title tune of the upcoming eighth album, set to be released on April 29. "Zeit" is the follow-up to 2019’s untitled album features 11 tracks, including the single. It was recorded at La Fabrique Studios in St. Rémy de Provence, France with producer Olsen Involtini.

"Zeit" – which translates as “Time” – is an epic ballad which builds to a powerful climax. According to the band, the song “deals with with transience, our mortality and the precious, fleeting happiness of the perfect moment.”

The English translation of one of the songs key lyrics runs as follows: “Time, please stand still, stand still/Time, this should always go on so/Time, it’s so beautiful, so beautiful/Anyone knows the perfect moment.”

The single, released on 10” gatefold black vinyl and CD digipack as well as digitally, also features two alternate versions of "Zeit". One is a “meditative, atmospheric neoclassical arrangement” by Icelandic musician Ólafur Arnalds, while the other is a remix by electronic/pop producer Robot Koch.

Camouflage - Love Is A Shield

Sunday, time for a classic. "Love Is A Shield" is a tune taken from "Methods Of Silence", the second album by the German band CAMOUFLAGE, released by Atlantic Records in June 1989. The single "Love Is A Shield" reached position 9 of the German single charts making it CAMOUFLAGE's most successful song.

CAMOUFLAGE is a German synth-pop trio consisting of lead singer Marcus Meyn, Heiko Maile and Oliver Kreyssig.

CAMOUFLAGE set up a new studio, "Boys Factory 2", near their home town before entering the Synsound Studio in Brussels in early 1989 to create "Methods Of Silence". The producer, Dan Lacksman (known for his work with TELEX), used both modern and old technology to create the new album. The band was given more creative freedom due to their previous success.

A review by Allmusic wrote that the album's "material contrasted sharply with the vibrancy of the ensuing decade" referring to the decline of the Synthpop genre at the beginning of the 1990s. The albums was however noted for its sonic precision and a reliance on pop-song structures.

Enjoy today's classic!

Kreator - Hate Über Alles

The Teutonic thrash metal primordial called KREATOR keeps on spinning. "Hate Über Alles" is the title of the album to be released in 2022, on which KREATOR still presses the gas pedal properly.

"Hate Über Alles" is their first new record since 2017's "Gods Of Violence". The brand new single, title track of the upcoming album was released yesterday with a video, see it below. The new record features artwork by the seemingly ever-present Eliran Kantor (VENOM PRISON, SIGH, THY ART IS MURDER, etc.). "Hate Über Alles" will also be Kreator's first new effort with bassist Frédéric Leclercq (ex-DRAGONFORCE), who joined the band in 2019 and has so far only played on the 2020 single "666 – World Divided."

Enjoy today's tune!

NEU! - Hallogallo

Sunday, time for a classic!

"Hallogallo" is a tune by German krautrock band NEU!, taken from the debut album Neu!. It was released in 1972 by Brain Records. It was the first album recorded by the duo of Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger after leaving KRAFTWERK in 1971. They continued to work with producer Konrad "Conny" Plank, who had also worked on the KRAFTWERK recording sessions. They released three albums in their initial incarnation—Neu! (1972), Neu! 2 (1973), and Neu! 75 (1975)—before disbanding in 1975. They briefly reunited in the mid-1980s.

Though NEU! had minimal commercial success during its existence, the band is retrospectively considered a central act of West Germany's 1970s krautrock movement. They are known for pioneering the "motorik" beat, a minimalist 4/4 rhythm associated with krautrock artists. Their work has exerted a widespread influence on genres such as electronica and punk.

Enjoy today's tune "Hallogallo" (Play on "Halligalli", a German slang term for "wild partying", with the word "hallo" being German for "hello").

Lucifer – Lucifer IV

Monday, new week, time to introduce "Record Of The Week".

The Swedish/German heavy rock band LUCIFER is back with their fourth release "Lucifer IV".

This Stockholm based rockers have a CV that you don't fool around with. LUCIFER featuring of members of ENTOMBED, THE HELLACOPTERS, DEAD LORD, VOJD, TOPPLOCK and THE OATH.

"Lucifer IV" contines on the path with their heavy 70s hard rock sound with an occult doomish vibe. Since thier first release "Lucifer I" (2015) they have improved themself on every release and I see that is something that they continue to do. As the new album is a delightful one, the evilness is perfectly used and the vocals from Johanna Sadonis is just stunning with her powerful and calm voice which almost bewitches one.

The album starts with "Archangel Of Death", SABBATH-infused rock with a gothic vibe. Excellent guitar playing from Linus Björklund and Martin Nordin, clear and dirty bassline by Harald Göthblad, marvelous vocals Johanna Sadonis, hard-hitting drums by Nicke Andersson a tune that showcase the sound that we have gotten served lately by LUCIFER. The great "Wild Hearses" with some impressive vocals, fuzzy guitar, and marvelous rhythm section. There are a few really accessible and radio-friendly tunes with a great groove with a lot of catchiness, like the songs "Crucifix (I Burn For You)" and "Cold As A Tombstone". "Mausoleum" and "Nightmare" are two great tracks with a gothic vibe where songs like "Bring Me His Head" and "Orion" flirts with BLUE ÖYSTER CULT. The album ends smoothly with “Phobos” and puts an end to this exciting album. Highly recommend this record.

I did visit one of the best record stores here in Stockholm this Friday to pick up the new album with LUCIFER, the band was there and was so kind to sign my copy with the Amazing artwork of singer Johanna Sadonis, soaked in red and tied to a crucifix. "Lucifer IV" was released on Halloween 2021 (October 29th, 2021) on Century Media Records/Sony Music.

Sum: "Lucifer IV" is a well-rounded trip back to the peak of heavy rock in the '70s.

Today's tune "Crucifix (I Burn For You)", taken from "Lucifer IV", enjoy!

Wheel - Preserved In Time

Monday, a new week and it's time to present "Record Of The Week".

WHEEL is a german Traditional Doom Metal band that was formed in 2006 in Dortmund, Germany.

And now after eight years, they are back with their third album "Preserved In Time" on the label Cruz del Sur. An album that gets you back to the prime time of the true, epic doom of the highest order in the vein of CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETURNUS, and TROUBLE!

"Preserved In Time" is a forty-eight-minute, seven songs with an epic length of slo-mo, emotional doom that gets to be an early favorite of another shitty year! As on this record, the long creation time is well spent, as they feel so much stronger and doomier than ever before and that can clearly be heard on the opening tune "At Night They Came Upon Us", where the slowly-grinding wagon wheel by Benjamin Homberger guitar, the thick bass line Marcus Grabowski and the tight and well-swinging drummer Carsten Jercke and the fabulous vocals by Arkadius Kurek. The high key in Kurek's vocal gives crawling goosebumps and high low key is smooth as silk where its clearly can be heard in "When The Shadow Takes You Over", a half paced ballad-like with a melancholic vibe, beautiful harmonies, marvelous vocals, I can just stand up and clap my hands. Thundering drum playing by Jercke is served in "After All", a tune that flows in a more mournful way in a big space. In "She Left In Silence" we get another powerful piece, big chorus, a swirling solo by Homberger glowing guitar. "Aeon Of Darkness" follows the powerful and epic way, acoustic guitar slings are added to spicy up this melodic piece a bit, truly wonderful in all its way. The dramatic "Hero Of The Weak", shows up another side of the band with a more modern presentation with some guttural vocals parts. The album closes up with the glorious nine minutes "Daedalus" that floating between heavy bass riffs, hard-hitting drums, crunching guitar riff and swirling solos, to a more shimmering and more withdrawn way, but oh so beautiful part where the vocals caress the drums and the guitar and bass plays easily until it's time to let loose again, totally mind-blowing!

"Preserved In Time" is an excellent traditional doom delight, a true gem, a record that I highly recommend to check up!

WHEEL consists of:
Benjamin Homberger (guitars),
Marcus Grabowski (bass),
Arkadius Kurek (vocals),
Carsten Jercke (drums)

Sum: Preserved In Time is the strongest doom album so far, 2021!

Helloween - Skyfall

The German power metal band HELLOWEEN has now dropped their latest single "Skyfall", written by Kai Hansen. A tune that is a storming more than a 7-minute ride into the HELLOWEEN universe (and beyond!) The epic track describes an alien landing on earth and a dramatic chase while Michael Kiske, Andi Deris, and Kai Hansen duel each other in a breathtaking manner and create a vocal broadband adventure. Produced by Martin Häusler, it is the most elaborate video clip in the history of the band.

The single "Skyfall", see it below is taken from the upcoming self-titled album "Helloween“which will be released June 18th, 2021.

Order the single Skyfall here: http://nblast.de/Helloween-Skyfall
Pre-order the album 'Helloween' here: https://nblast.de/HELLOWEEN-Helloween

This is the start of a new time calculation:
Forget HELLOWEEN – Here comes HELLOWEEN

The sensation was perfect – Helloween, who has sold more than 10 million records worldwide, being one of the most respected German metal bands since 1984, announced their PUMPKINS UNITED WORLD TOUR in 2016. The media was raving about the TOUR OF THE YEAR, playing 69 shows in 32 countries all over the world. More than one million fans on three continents were ecstatic because it was not only a reunion of the original band, it was the summit of seven ultimate HELLOWEEN heroes: Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner & Dani Löble. Or to put it simply: it was a dream come true for fans around the world, the band received five times more spectators and all of them had only one wish:

The very first release of the new era is justified to so to do – worthy the occasion: not only a simple album, curated and treasured with love and affection, different formats will be available – especially for all collectors and super fans: Premium CD as a digipak and 12“Gatefold vinyl in various styles like shape-LP and picture disc – black or in combinations orange/transparent, orange/black, green/black marbled, orange/black splatter and red/black splatter (also available digitally).

"Skyfall" will be released in two versions: A-side with the 7-minute single edit and the B-side explodes with a 12-minute alternative version of the album track with a new mix and a different singer allocation. Available only on this very single. The second edition will offer „Indestructible“ as their B-side, another precursor from the album and limited availability with a premium package format.

The base of the upcoming milestone album was already erected in the studio: using the original Ingo Schwichtenberg drum kit, the recording was done with the same modulators at the Hamburg HOME studios where back then »Master of The Rings«, »Time of the Oath« and »Better than Raw« were recorded. Back to the roots and completely analog is the UNITED impact - another great work by well-known producer Charlie Bauerfeind and Co-producer Dennis Ward before the album traveled to New York and got the final mastering polish in the Valhalla Studios of Ronald Prent (IRON MAIDEN, DEPECHE MODE, RAMMSTEIN).

The artwork is by Eliran Kantor.

Line-Up:
Andi Deris - Vocals
Michael Kiske - Vocals
Kai Hansen - Guitar/Vocals
Michael "Weiki" Weikath - Guitar
Sascha Gerstner - Guitar
Markus Grosskopf - Bass
Daniel "Dani" Loeble - Drums

Kadavar - The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)

Thursday, time for a cover.

"The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)" is a song written by Peter Green and recorded by FLEETWOOD MAC. It was released as a single in the UK in May 1970 and reached No. 10 on the British charts, a position it occupied for four consecutive weeks. "The Green Manalishi" was the last song Green made with Fleetwood Mac before leaving the band.

The song was written during Green's final months with the band, at a time when he was struggling with LSD and had withdrawn from other members of the band. While there are several theories about the meaning of the title "Green Manalishi", Green always maintained that the song is about money, as represented by the devil. Green was reportedly angered by the other band members' refusal to share their financial gains.

Green has explained that he wrote the song after experiencing a drug-induced dream in which he was visited by a green dog which barked at him. He understood that the dog represented money. "It scared me because I knew the dog had been dead a long time. It was a stray and I was looking after it. But I was dead and had to fight to get back into my body, which I eventually did. When I woke up, the room was really black and I found myself writing the song." He also said that he wrote the lyrics the following day, in Richmond Park. Supposedly, he was unable to record Robert Johnson's "Hellhound on My Trail" following the incident, having conflated Johnson's hellhound with the green dog-demon of his dream.[citation needed] This is supported by his discography, in which Green's sole post-Manalishi cover of "Hellhound" was sung by bandmate Nigel Watson.

Today's version is made by the german rock band KADAVAR, taken from the new split single where they are teaming up with LUCIFER for a limited split 7“. Both bands dug through their records and chose a classic track to cover. KADAVAR recorded a version of "The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown) by FLEETWOOD MAC and on LUCIFERs side, you´ll hear "Pull Away / So Many Times" by DUST. Limited to 1500 total with 5 different color options. Enjoy today's cover of "The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)"

Coogans Bluff - Gadfly

After "Flying To The Stars" now a stopover in "Metronopolis". The band's seventh album, if you count their live double album. From album to album, new musical components gain weight, others become smaller, less important or disappear completely: we find krautrock, progressive, fusion on the flight routes, but also spacerock, psychedelic or blues rock. In old course books you can even read about stoner rock, funk and heavy. But COOGANS BLUFF always remained recognizable. A self-explanatory band that certainly rocks retro, but sounds fresh, contemporary and, above all, independent. A band that calls itself a reference. And "Metronopolis" is their next stop in the rock universe.

COOGANS BLUFF are
Charlie Paschen Drums, Vocals, Farfisa, Mellotron
Clemens Marasus Vocals, Bass Guitar
Willi Paschen Electric Guitars, Acoustic Guitars
Max Thum Saxophone
Stefan Meinking Trombone, Moog

Check today's rocker "Gadfly" out and you will hear the marvelous Saxophone over the heavy riffs, just brilliant.

"Metronopolis" was released January 24, 2020. Recorded by Andi Bückle at Studio Wong, Berlin, additional recording and mixed by Charlie Paschen at Charlies Studio, Leipzig. Mastered by Willi Dammeier at Institut für Wohlklangforschung, Hannover. Artwork by Sara Bock and Christoph Kukla Photographs by Jakob Adolphi

Accept - Too Mean To Die

New week, it's time to introduce "Record Of The Week".

"Too Mean To Die" is the sixteenth studio album by the German heavy metal band ACCEPT since they first formed forty-five years ago. Since the reunion with the new singer Mark Tornillo and the brilliant comeback album of "Blood Of The Nations"(2010) where a great future was in sight for the band, but the spiral slowly dropped the spark and the albums have from the brilliant release, ended with an only an okay verdict so my expectations for this release was pretty mediocre, to be honest. After a couple of laps, they show quite immediately that old school heavy metal is still alive and that ACCEPT is hungrier than ever before, lockdown, insecurity creates a lot of frustration in the ACCEPT camp. A freshness of new members around Mark Tornillo and the only original member Wolf Hoffmann can be heard in the mix. Usually it's the singer that is the main man in a band but in this case, it's the guitarist, with the classic ACCEPT guitar sound is something that you immediately recognize, the vibe of Hoffmann's strike on the strings is a signature. JUDAS PRIEST guitarist and super-producer Andy Sneap sprinkles his magic on the eleven tracks and there are certainly echoes of the Midlands legends both in the sonic make-up and structure of some of the tracks.

"Too Mean To Die" has all the elements of classic heavy metal; the guitar playing from Wolf Hoffmann (Guitar), Uwe Lulis(Guitar), Philip Shouse(Guitar)(Guitar), yes three guitarists that creates a massive layer sound when they shreds each track with vein-rattling riffshreds each track with vein-rattling riffs along with the bassist Martin Motnik and some great hard-hitting beats by the drummer Christopher Williams, all this topped with some pure metal vocals in the true ACCEPT vein of Mark Tornillo. The album starts with a guitar lick intro of "Zombie Apocalypse", a catchy piece with really powerful vocals by Tornillo, a tune that has traditional roots of the band with strikes of JUDAS PRIEST. The same powerful formula is used in the title tune "Too Mean To Die" where old school heavy metal with a solid mix of musicianship and powerful vocals really can make an effect on the listener, yes, simply a big slap in the face. They gear up a notch in "Overnight Sensation" where the catchiness almost overcomes themself in this rocker which continues in the driven smoker "No One’s Master", the lead single "The Undertaker", has a fat bassline and big chorus almost like it was written for Alice Cooper. The hand gets into the pocket, searches for the knife cutter "Sucks To Be You", where the sounds lean more to the history of the band. Halfway true and some new energy is put under the carpet, and it's time for the tasty "Symphony Of Pain", classic ACCEPT sound eco's out from the speakers, glorious guitars and a small references to world-famous "Ode To Joy" and even the monstrous 5th Symphony by Beethoven. Time to slow down a bit and let Tornillo rest his voice a bit in the beautiful ballad "The Best Is Yet To Come", a tune that easily could be the "Best Ballad" of this year. Big drums in "How Do We Sleep", clear and neat guitars, powerful melody, marvelous warm soaked vocals, and huge chorus makes this tune a powerful piece. Followed up by a classic "Rock" sounded stomper in "Not My Problem" that gives the album some spices. The album closes up with "Samson And Delilah", an instrumental classic piece, and really show how well the band plays together.

ACCEPT showing that they still know their thing, I'm impressed with their creativity still reaching these heights, and with such a variety in the tunes, brilliantly worked guys. "Too Mean To Die" was released on January 15th, 2021 by Nuclear Blast Records.

Sum: "Too Mean To Die" is a brilliant release from these Heavy Metal masters!

ACCEPT crew is:
Wolf Hoffmann – lead guitar, backing vocals (1976–1989, 1992–1997, 2005, 2009–present)
Mark Tornillo – lead vocals (2009–present)
Uwe Lulis – rhythm guitar (2015–present)
Christopher Williams – drums (2015–present)
Martin Motnik – bass (2019–present)
Philip Shouse – rhythm guitar (2019–present)

Einstürzende Neubauten - Alles In Allem

After more than 12 years, EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN released thier long-awaited new studio album "Alles In Allem" translated as 'All in All'. The album marks the quintessence of the band’s output, opening yet another unexpected door in 40 years of ongoing sound research bya very experimental group of musicians around Blixa Bargeld.

EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, ("Collapsing New Builds") is a German experimental music group, originally formed in West Berlin in 1980. The group is currently composed of founder members Blixa Bargeld (lead vocals; guitar; keyboard) and N.U. Unruh (custom-made instruments; percussion; vocals), long-time contributor Alexander Hacke (bass; vocals), plus Jochen Arbeit (guitar; vocals), and Rudolf Moser (custom-built instruments; percussion; vocals), who both joined the line-up in 1997.

One of their trademarks is the use of custom-built instruments, predominantly made out of scrap metal and building tools, and noises, in addition to standard musical instruments. Their early albums were unremittingly harsh, with Bargeld's vocals shouted and screamed above a din of banging and scraping metal percussion. Subsequent recordings found the group's sound growing somewhat more conventional, yet still containing many unorthodox elements.

This band, like nearly no other, has managed to create a musical cosmos. Check out the title tune from the bands latest release, presents an incomparable band that defies categorization to create a genre all its own.

Today's tune "Alles In Allem" it the title tune from EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTENs most compulsively lisenable album to date, enjoy!

Kaskadeur - Uncanny Valley

A ruckus of buzzing particles meshed together with a live in the moment attitude touches of krautrock and unpredictability. After you wrap your head around that, drench this in an organ bathed atmosphere and you have what is collectively known as KASKADEUR."

KASKADEUR is a heavy prog-rock band from Potsdam, Germany. A quartet that has been dedicated to inspired genre escapism for well over 10 years. Johannes Walenta, Enrico Semler, Michael Paukner and Ole Fischer have always been able to experiment with the music that could be traced in all previous releases under the name STONEHENGE where they played old school heavy rock with a stoner rock vibe. Influences and excursions in all close-knit soul movements such as post-rock and psych to Alternative Rock and Soul can be seen at the latest with their third album "Uncanny Valley".

KASKADEUR is:

Enrico Semler | guitar & main vocals
Johannes Walenta | organ, synths & backing vocals
Michael Paukner | bass & backing vocals
Ole Fischer | drums

Today's tune "Uncanny Valley" is the title tune from thier latest album that was released 25th September, 2020.

Kadavar - The Isolation Tapes

The three-piece psychedelic kraut rockers KADAVAR is back with their sixth record "The Isolation Tapes".

While KADAVAR’s musical development has always been about liberation and pushing the boundaries of the retro rock genre, this is yet one bigger step into a cosmos where the dogma of the classic trio approach is left behind completely. You’ll hear triple vocal harmonies and trippy guitar solos gently riding on an ocean of vintage synthesizers, the tectonic plates of drum and bass calmly pushing from down below.

"The Isolation Tapes" contains a wide palette of another creative output from KADAVAR, everything is made during the Corona Pandemic. Everything changes as the world stands still and so does rock bands all over the world, some are creative with new view on things and thier music shows that, espasially KADAVAR, where thier influences spreads of progressive rock and old kraut rock, where the distinct vocals is the same while the lyrics is well thought out, the riffing has grown to a more psychedelic comsic and progressive vibe, the music in whole has gotten to be very atmospheric, with a big krautrock feeling from the 70's, partly very PINK FLOYD alike. The album have 10 tunes with a three quater of playtime and it opens up with a five piece suite consisting of (I - "The Lonely Child", II - "I Fly Among the Stars", III - "Unnaturally Strange (?)", IV - "(I Won't Leave You) Rosi" and V - "The World is Standing Still") where the FLOYD seeps through the sound. The second half of the album mainly put their focus on a atmospheric soundscape that could be used as a soundtrack to romantic drama. The beautifully "Everything Is Changing" stands out abit with its electronic keys in the melody. Big harmonies in "The Flat Earth Theory", mellotron heavy "Peculiareality (!)" and the laidback and big ending of "Black Spring Rising - Ilgen-Nur". The album sounds excellent in my ears, it's very softish album to be KADAVER and very unexpected, but it's done with a big heart during times like this and where the heavyness has been left in the idea box for future use. In general, the guys creativity seems to have no limits.

„It all came at once, and there was no way to fight it“, says the guitarist and lead vocalist Christoph "Lupus" Lindemann. „No more touring, stay at home, put everything on hold. With all the downsides of the lock down, there were a few days when I just felt free as a bird. I was out of reach, and it was alright. It has been a while since I have felt like that actually. And I believe we all needed it. We were able to just drift along and make music of whatever came to our minds.“

Drummer Christoph “Tiger” Bartelt: „We used to have sort of a clear vision once we started making a record. And making a connection to the previous record was always part of it. This time, it was different. We had no orientation, no expectation towards ourselves, I might even say. Corona took our gravity…“

The album was released on October 23, 2020 as CD and in various Vinyl variations, including some colors with additional art prints (6 x 111 pieces each = 666 pieces) by various artists. All vinyl versions (including those without art prints) are already sold out before publication!

Today's tune "Eternal Light (We Will Be OK)" is taken from "The Isolation Tapes", enjoy!

Them - Battle Blood

Thrash metal meets horror/fantasy story is what the German-American act THEM presents in the third part "Return To Hemmersmoor" of the trilogy that was launched back in 2016 on "Sweet Hollow" where the chronicles started the bizarre journey of a man caught between unfortunate circumstance and unspeakable evil. It continued in 2018 with "Manor Of The Se7en Gables". "Return To Hemmersmoor" takes up where the thematic thread of its two predecessors left off and brings the story to a gripping finale, documenting at the same time the band’s unmistakable musical evolvement.

"Possibly the new material is a little tougher and more uncompromising," guitarist Markus Ullrich compares the three recordings. "Being directly involved, we’re too close to really be able to judge. Fact is: the album definitely sounds more mature, which certainly has to do with the songwriting as well as with our general approach. From the start, Them have worked in a very focussed manner according to a definite plan. For that kind of targeted strategy you really need the right line-up consisting of accomplished musicians that are one hundred per cent behind the concept. Them totally fulfils all those conditions."

THEM originally formed in 2008 by vocalist Troy as a KING DIAMOND tribute band, performing for three and a half years with over 20 shows including performances with Mike Wead and Hal Patino from KING DIAMOND. After returning from several other projects, Troy started to create a concept idea in 2014 and moulded a story, band, album and show around it.

Today's tune "Battle Blood" is taken from the new album "Return To Hemmersmoor", released October 30th, 2020, enjoy!

Svärd - The Burning Asylum

SVÄRD, is a bunch of elderly men kicking monitor speakers across stages, this Swedish-German heavy rock outfit just recently, members of German Doomsters AHAB and Sweden’s death metal unit IN MOURNING, have unleashed the news of a brand new band project. SVÄRD, featuring Cornelius Althammer on drums, guitarists and vocalists Tim Nedergård, Björn Pettersson as well as bassist and vocalist Pierre Stam, got together for some extensive jam sessions in the Swedish summer of 2017. What started as a fun music project but longtime, common dream of these 4 friends, turned out into a first debut EP, titled "The Rift", and which was released on July 3rd with powerhouse label Argonauta Records! SVÄRD mix the elements of stomping heavy metal, crushing Sludge Rock with an extra dose of the psychedelia

"The Rift" was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren (SABATON, HYPOCRISY, IN MOURNING, OCTOBER TIDE, AMORPHIS and many more), and is set for a digital release on July 3rd 2020 via Argonauta Records, with Vinyl formats to follow. Better watch out for many more tunes and news to be revealed in the weeks ahead, as SVÄRD came to conquer your heavy music world!
