Coogans Bluff - Gadfly

After "Flying To The Stars" now a stopover in "Metronopolis". The band's seventh album, if you count their live double album. From album to album, new musical components gain weight, others become smaller, less important or disappear completely: we find krautrock, progressive, fusion on the flight routes, but also spacerock, psychedelic or blues rock. In old course books you can even read about stoner rock, funk and heavy. But COOGANS BLUFF always remained recognizable. A self-explanatory band that certainly rocks retro, but sounds fresh, contemporary and, above all, independent. A band that calls itself a reference. And "Metronopolis" is their next stop in the rock universe.

COOGANS BLUFF are
Charlie Paschen Drums, Vocals, Farfisa, Mellotron
Clemens Marasus Vocals, Bass Guitar
Willi Paschen Electric Guitars, Acoustic Guitars
Max Thum Saxophone
Stefan Meinking Trombone, Moog

Check today's rocker "Gadfly" out and you will hear the marvelous Saxophone over the heavy riffs, just brilliant.

"Metronopolis" was released January 24, 2020. Recorded by Andi Bückle at Studio Wong, Berlin, additional recording and mixed by Charlie Paschen at Charlies Studio, Leipzig. Mastered by Willi Dammeier at Institut für Wohlklangforschung, Hannover. Artwork by Sara Bock and Christoph Kukla Photographs by Jakob Adolphi

Today's tune "Gadfly", taken from "Metronopolis", enjoy!
