"My Mistake", a brand new song from HALLATAR, which features guest vocals by DRACONIAN's Heike Langhans, is taken from HALLATAR's debut album, "No Stars Upon the Bridge", which is based on the lyrics and poems of Aleah Starbridge and it was released on October 20 via Svart Records.
Although a brand new name, HALLATAR features in its ranks SWALLOW THE SUN and TREES OF ETERNITY guitarist Juha Raivio, AMORPHIS vocalist Tomi Joutsen and former HIM drummer Gas Lipstick.
Juha Raivio hails his former bandmember and partner from TREES OF ETERNITY, Aleah Starbridge, who sadly passed away last year after loosing his battle against cancer.

TERAMAZE hailing from Melbourne, Australia have released a new video with the title track from the latest album "Her Halo"
TERAMAZE was originally formed during lead guitarist/producer Dean Well’s teenage years. The band put out a couple albums in the early years, but it wasn’t until the release of Anhedonia in 2012 that Wells felt the modern version of TERAMAZE actually began. That third album was met with critical acclaim, as was the follow up of 2014’s Esoteric Symbolism, which saw the quartet making a bolder statement and taking no prisoners to flex their musical muscle even further. Now with new vocalist Nathan Peachey and a new record deal with Mascot Label Group, TERAMAZE have arrived with their cinematic "Her Halo". This new beginning not only brings about more potential, but promise as well.
The music is melodic stereotypical prog-metal with catchy sonatas emphasize both the precision minded musicianship and melodies with divine harmonious vigor.
Formed under the name Terrormaze. The name change was caused by the members' discovery of Christianity, which changed the band's lyrical focus and mission from that of their earlier demo.
TERAMAZE consist of:
Dean Wells-Lead/Rhythm Guitars /Backing vocals
Nathan Peachey- Vocals
Dean Kennedy- Drums
Luis Eguren-Bass Guitar
Today's tune "Her Halo" is the title track from TERAMAZE latest album, which is released worldwide on October 30.
SERIOUS BLACK, the new band featuring Roland Grapow (MASTERPLAN, ex-HELLOWEEN), Thomen Stauch (ex-BLIND GUARDIAN), Mario Lochert (ex-VISIONS OF ATLANTIS), Dominik Sebastian (EDENBRIDGE), Jan Vacik (ex-DREAMSCAPE) and vocalist Urban Breed (ex-TAD MOROSE), their début album, "As Daylight Breaks", was released on January 20, 2015 via AFM Records.
6 members, 6 friends - all with huge experience and knowledge from many years in the business and being part of the most successful melodic metal bands! SERIOUS BLACK is different to many of the so-called "all star" bands, because in fact, they are a real band. A band that crafted their incredible debut album "As Daylight Breaks" together, with every member involved into songwriting and recordings. "As Daylight Breaks" is a real teamwork effort, a melodic metal jewel displaying conviction, amazing musicianship and outstanding songwriting.
It all happened on a sunny 23rd of August in Spain, when Roland Grapow and Mario Lochert had a conversation backstage over a cool beverage, talking music business – you know, what musicians usually do.
For quite a while, Mario had had the idea of bringing together 6 musical masterminds to form a band floating around his head.
After a few initial concerns about igniting various conflicts when getting together in that configuration, eventually Mario was able to convince Roland of his intentions.
Back in Munich, Mario immediately contacted his friend of many years, Thomen Stauch, telling him about his idea. Thomen was sold and joined the bunch right away. After that, Jan Vacik and Dominik Sebastian were quick to agree to a collaboration, too. With that, a new band was born, consisting of five highly motivated musicians!
Initially, it turned out to be quite a task to bring these full-time musical workaholics together in one studio at the same time. However, against all odds, they got together on short notice in January 2014.
Needless to say, when they arrived at the “Dreamsound Studios” Munich, none of the blokes had any idea yet where exactly their musical venture would take them.
After a long night, accompanied with numerous anecdotes from the world of music and a solid amount of beers (which, of course, were just “meant to keep the vocal cords smooth”), the band started the songwriting phase!
Everyone was on the same wavelength, as if they had been working together in this configuration for decades.
The fact that they were able to collectively write songs, without any pressures and in an awesome environment, gave wings to these 5 maniacal musicians and got their juices flowing to create something outstanding.
Everyone was literally bubbling with ideas and as soon as 7 days later, they had written eight roughly structured songs, building a foundation for a powerful and melodic Power Metal record!
Yet what good can awesome songs do without a voice to carry them? After a few considerations as to a fitting singer for the band, the newly formed group contacted the US-based Swedish expat “Urban Breed” (ex-TAD MOROSE, ex- BLOODBOUND, TRAIL OF MURDER). After exchanging just a few emails and samples, the answer was loud and clear: “Ok, I’m in, if you really want it! After a short wait, he submitted his first song ideas which fit in with the existing songs seamlessly.
Todays tune "Older & Wiser" is taken from the debut album "As Daylight Breaks".
The Italian symphonic power metal band "Luca Turilli's Rhapsody" (often simply referred by itself as RHAPSODY or LT's RHAPSODY) have a new album "Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus" ready to be released at June 19th. The first single/video "Prometheus" is a real symphonic power metal piece, check it out below.
Luca Turilli's RHAPSODY is created and led by Luca Turilli after his split from RHAPSODY OF FIRE, also including German, French and Finnish members.
As you know, the RHAPSODY lyrics always include hidden messages inspired by the hermetic tradition (for example, around one year ago, we revealed on these same Facebook pages that the origin of the well-known EMERALD SWORD of RHAPSODY was related to the EMERALD TABLET of HERMES TRISMEGISTUS).
They have now reveal that the song PROMETHEUS, the title-track of our upcoming full length album PROMETHEUS, SYMPHONIA IGNIS DIVINUS, is related to a special CONCEPT connecting some songs: QUANTUM X, ASCENDING TO INFINITY, DARK FATE OF ATLANTIS and OF MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL AND LUCIFER’S FALL from the previous ASCENDING TO INFINITY album, NOVA GENESIS, PROMETHEUS and MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL Part II: CODEX NEMESIS from this new album, and three more titles that will appear on the next Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY release, ending with the final part of the MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL trilogy.
The encrypted lyrics of the single PROMETHEUS, the most important song of this mini concept, represent the “quantum key” to discover more about the CODEX NEMESIS, the code of the codes, a real quantum gate allowing the access to the “divine fire of wisdom” (the IGNIS DIVINUS given by PROMETHEUS to mankind). A part of the great secret kept by the Ancients and transmitted orally by the Tibetan monks, the Indian Rishis and other spirits of light.
Well, beloved friends, we can not believe it. Even before the release of our new album, our friend GABRIELE SAPONANGELO, while listening to our new single PROMETHEUS, was able to reveal a small part of the CODE, analyzing the lyrics of the same song. The pre-chorus is divided in 2 sections. If you overlap the lyrics of the 2 sections of the same pre-chorus listening to what ALESSANDRO CONTI is singing, you will get:
QUANTUM nexus
nuclear FIRE
HUMANS cyborgs
gods and TITANS
neo (NOVUS) genetic
MOTUS karma
ALIEN foetus
matrix CORPUS
If you divide the words in 2 columns and associate the numbers 0 and 1 to them (the holy numbers considered as the fundament of the whole “system-universe” even before PYTHAGORA’s numeric revelations), while considering only the main “key-words” sung in the second part of the pre-chorus (above in capital letters), you will get the following result: 01010001, corresponding to the decimal number: 81. Gabriele was able to reveal everything until this point and it is already GREAT what he found out. Congratulations!
But that’s just the beginning. If you are interested in discovering more about the CODEX NEMESIS, then you should consider the 81, defined by SENECA as the PERFECTUM NUMERUM QUEM NOVIEM NOVIES MULTIPLICATA COMPONIUNT, simply as a starting point for the comprehension of all things.
Todays tune "Prometheus" is taken from the upcoming album "Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus" will be out on June 19th (EU) via Nuclear Blast Records. Music, lyrics, orchestral and choral arrangements by LUCA TURILLI, Drum parts composed by LUCA TURILLI and ALEX LANDENBURG, Lead Soprano: EMILIE RAGNI, Epic Choir: RALF SCHEEPERS, DAN LUCAS, MATTHIAS STOCKINGER, ALESSANDRO CONTI, Opera Choir: THE VOICES OF THE APOCALYPSE and Video realized by LUCA TURILLI
"Can You Feel It" is a tune taken from the third album "On Earth as It Is in Heaven", by the American rock band ANGEL. It was released 1977 on Casablanca Records. It is the last album with Mickie Jones who had been the band's bass guitar player since its formation. It was produced by Eddie Kramer (KISS/Jimi Hendrix) and recorded in an actual castle in the Hollywood Hills. It marked a shift from progressive and symphonic hard rock to a more mainstream hard rock approach, with the exception of "Cast the First Stone" and "Just A Dream" which are very similar in sound to the songs on the albums "Angel" and "Helluva Band". In fact, "Cast The First Stone" was written during the Helluva Band sessions. The band toured non-stop and it was during this time they made their only tour of Japan.
Lovember Records reissued On Earth... in a digitally remastered limited edition in August 2008. It included a 16-page booklet with liner notes by the journalist Dave Reynolds (Classic Rock magazine and Kerrang), a track-by-track run down by the singer Frank DiMino, all lyrics and previously unreleased photos. The LP originally contained a symmetrical poster of the album cover.
ANGEL is a Glam Rock and heavy metal band from Washington, D.C., formed in the mid-1970s by Punky Meadows and Mickie Jones. They were signed to Casablanca Records, and had the image of dressing in white.
ANGEL was discovered by Kiss bass player Gene Simmons performing at a nightclub and was eventually signed to the same label as KISS, Casablanca.
ANGELs image of dressing in all white was a deliberate contrast to KISS, which wore black. ANGEL sported an androgynous image and elaborate stage sets. They were slammed by rock critics, and Frank Zappa ridiculed the all-male band’s female appearance in the song “Punky’s Whips”. ANGEL never achieved mass commercial success but acquired a following as a cult band.
Their first album was the self-titled ANGEL and consisted of guitarist Punky Meadows, bassist Mickie Jones, vocalist Frank DiMino, keyboardist Gregg Giuffria, and drummer Barry Brandt. This lineup would hold for the following two albums, Helluva Band and On Earth as It Is in Heaven, after which Jones would be replaced by Felix Robinson.
They made an appearance in the film Foxes and Frank DiMino sang “Seduce Me Tonight” on the Flashdance soundtrack.
DiMino and Meadows departed the band in 1981, and the remaining members brought in vocalist Fergie Frederiksen (later of TOTO) and guitarist Ricky Phillips (later of THE BABYS, then BAD ENGLISH, then STYX), but this lineup dissolved shortly thereafter.
Todays tune "Can You Feel It" is taken from the 1977 record "On Earth as it is in Heaven". Was also released as B-Side on the "Winter Song" single.
With a working relationship dating back to 1998, two of Holland's finest musicians have united for a new project dubbed THE GENTLE STORM.
The Diary is the upcoming first album by symphonic metal/ folk rock band THE GENTLE STORM, consisting of composer and guitarist Arjen Anthony Lucassen (AYREON, STAR ONE) and singer and lyricist Anneke van Giersbergen (THE GATHERING, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT). It will be released on March 24th, 2015 in Europe, and the following day in the US.
THE GENTLE STORM marks a truly astonishing collaboration. A concept album about a love story set in the 17th century, An epic production, containing two contrasting interpretations of the same songs: acoustic / folk arrangements (“Gentle”) and a full-on metal assault (“Storm”). This is symphonic metal/prog of blockbuster proportions and will also be presented live!
Arjen Lucassen and vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen originally crossed paths in '98 for AYREONs breakthrough third album, Into The Electric Castle. Ten years later they teamed up again for AYREONs seventh album, 01011001, both having established themselves as world renowned heavy metal/rock artists in the decade between releases. Although their respective musical styles went in vastly different directions during that time, Arjen and Anneke retained a common ground that ultimately led to the creation of The Gentle Storm.
The album release will be followed by live dates through the spring and summer European festival season. Known for touring extensively year after year, Anneke will take THE GENTLE STORM on the road backed by well known Dutch talents. Arjen, however, will not be part of the live production.
Today's tune "Heart Of Amsterdam" is taken from the album "The Diary".
The Norwegian master singer Jorn Lande takes the help of his old friend, guitarist Trond Holter, together they undertake DRACULA with both garlic and silver bullets and makes a grandiose rock opera. "
This exciting concept album was inspired by the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a). The whole story explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th Century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.
Jorn Lande – who impersonates Dracula, is the main character of the album and the female parts are sung by Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book). The drama of the story reveals Dracula’s inner battle, where he still remembers what true love was, and as he wandered the Earth for centuries with a thirst for blood, his loneliness and desire to be able to love again has led him to the brink of insanity. In the original Bram Stoker version, he leaves Transylvania by ship and when he meets Lucy's best friend, she reminds him so much of his first love Mina, that he becomes obsessed. His mission is to take her as his bride, and make her Queen of the dark.
Musically, “Swing of Death” is not like a typical rock opera or musical, since it has no storyteller or too many long instrumental parts and intros. It is an album that gets to the point with no detours and even if it exposes some diverse musical landscapes, it does include catchy and melodic songs with commercial radio potential. Vocally this release gives you everything from Jorn Lande’s past extensive catalogue all in one album. Jorn’s ability to be innovative and original while at the same time showing where his roots came from, is truly unique.
Jorn and Trond’s musical influence when creating this epic masterpiece came mostly from 70’s era Meat Loaf, Queen, Alice Cooper, plus some other Classic and more contemporary Hard Rock elements. All mixed together with their own modern musical heavy rock style, Dracula “Swing of death” is something extraordinary. The lyrics are not limited to the old days of Bram Stoker’s era and could easily be a Dracula story of today.
Todays tune "Queen of the Dead" is the second single taken from "Swing Of Death".

My friend "Cheif Rebel Angel" has drawn attention to this release and made a great review of it, read it here!I really likehisway of describing howhe experiencesa record. It may verywell be due tohow similar weare, in many ways, even if heis drawn tothe tougher soundand Ito the moredirtiersound, do we meetvery often. One thing that he points out is that the guitar playingsometimessounds likeGaryMoore, which I can only agree on, it sounds much like Gary Moore, especially when Iheard thissong, If Idid not know beforewho it was,I would probablyhave guessed thatit wasGaryMoorewho playedguitar on this track.

Namaste is the title of todays tune and the latest video taken from the third full-length studio album "Nine" by the Norwegian progressive metal quintet Circus Maximus. From the captial town in Norway the quintet mixes their music in a german branded blender and gets an powerful dynamic symphonic glam metal with a high-pitched tone in the vocals, along with synthesizers and occasional keyboards.
As today, they have released three albums, The 1st Chapter in 2005, Isolate in 2007 and Nine, in 2012.
Today I was at gallery that 2 of my dearest friends had, at Gallery Kocks. Tomas Johansson and Sofia Lundberg, Tomas is a marvelous painter and Sofia takes wonderful photos. Here they are :D
Tomas Johansson, painter and also the bas player in Lizette & (as we showed u a couple of days ago)
Sofia Lundberg, Photographer.
On this Gallery I met another exiting man, Hansi Cross. He is a musician, and producer of music, Ive come across him many times (we are even FB friends) over the years. We have many common friends, but never spoke for real, until today. He is a very nice and intresting person, full of caring and love.
He and his band plays Symphonic progressive rock, and they are really good!! And now on February 3rd they are releasing an album "Wake Up Call".
In November 2009, Hansi did an interview for Background Magazine and on the question: How do you see yourself: as a singer/guitarist, a keyboardist or a composer and producer?
He said:
“I see myself as a composer and a singing guitarist. I’m not a brilliant keyboardist, but I tend to find it more inspiring to compose our music on keyboards rather than guitar. This creates some interesting situations. For instance, if I compose a riff for guitar and bass on keyboards it sounds great and not too difficult, but by the time, we have to play it on guitar it sometimes turns out to be quite a challenge. What is easy to play on keyboards is not always easy on guitar.
I believe this way of working adds a Cross-approach to our music. Riffs and bass lines often have a sort of uniqueness, because they have been written on different instruments. I like most of the parts of that creative process, in different ways, but I think the composing part is the most important to me. Of course, I highly enjoy performing, playing guitar and singing as well. I wouldn’t want to focus entirely on composing.”
The guys behind this album is: Hansi Cross - guitars, keyboards, lead & harmony vox, percussion Lollo Andersson - basses, taurus Tomas Hjort - drums, percussion with: Jock Millgardh - lead and harmony vox Mats Bender - keyboards Hannah Sundkvist - electric violin Stefan Damicolas - harmony vox Sabina Cross - additional violin Lizette von Panajott - processed female vox
