Aussie hard-rockers WOLFMOTHER have released a video for their brand new tune "Chase The Feeling", featuring Chris Cester from JET.
It’s a rock anthem that comprises their signature, musical specialties.
With Cester’s fun rhythms, WOLFMOTHERs classic riffs, and Andrew Stockman’s whirring vocals. JETs Chris Cester also lends his vocals to the track, contrasting nicely with Stockman’s.
“Way back in the day when we were recording the first WOLFMOTHER record, Chris invited us all over for a barbecue at his house in LA,” says WOLFMOTHER frontman Andrew Stockdale. “I think we all appreciated the sense of camaraderie he and the band had shown us in the early days, so it’s kind of cool to acknowledge these times by combining forces with a collaboration”.
“With Chris’s signature style drumming, rock speak and his old mate Jason Hills production wizardry, we managed to give one of my riffs a bit of a Hollywood nip and tuck, without over polishing the wild beast. Now it’s morphed into it’s own hybrid anthem for many future backyard cook ups and late night dive bar meanderings.”
“Andrew and I have known each other for years,” adds Chris, “and when he’d come to LA we’d always say, ‘Let’s do something let’s jam or whatever.’ So one day he comes over with this riff, we finished writing it in an hour or two, recorded it all in a couple more. No computers, no BPMs making it all robotic – all live. I think we did six takes!? It felt good to roll the tape and just deal with the consequences… next to a digital record, it sounds like an animal to me”.
Chase The Feeling is the first taste of new WOLFMOTHER material, coming in 2020.

Today we have Aussies finest, the classic rock band WOLFMOTHER, in 2005 they released the eponymous debut, a record that was exactly what rock & roll needed: a meaty, beaty, big and bouncy genre resuscitator that not only broke through to the mainstream, but broke big.
WOLFMOTHER was certified Gold in the States and Triple-Platinum in the band’s Australian homeland. Lead single “Woman” hit top ten on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks Chart and won a Grammy for “Best Hard Rock Performance.” Their songs became ubiquitous, appearing in films (Shrek, Jackass, The Hangover), video games (Need For Speed, MLB: The Show, Saints Row) and television commercials (Apple, Mitsubishi).
Led by vocalist/guitarist Andrew Stockdale, WOLFMOTHER have amassed a global fanbase, played to packed-house crowds around the world, delivered show-stealing sets at star-studded festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Reading and Leeds, and have been invited to share stages with rock icons Aerosmith and AC/DC. For their induction into the UK Music Hall of Fame, Led Zeppelin personally invited Wolfmother as their guests (the band showed their appreciation by delivering an electrifying cover of “Communication Breakdown”).
But ten years after their arrival, WOLFMOTHER have returned with what could arguably be called their best work to date. With "Victorious", Stockdale once again arrives right on time: in an era dominated by single-song downloads, this is an album worthy of repeat listens from top to bottom. Following 2009’s "Cosmic Egg" and 2014’s "New Crown", the much-anticipated "Victorious" is an electrifying testament to the range and depth of Stockdale’s artistry. Recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with two-time Grammy winning producer Brendan O’Brien (PEARL JAM, SOUNDGARDEN, Bruce Springsteen), the songs are edgy, inventive and uncompromising and rank among the band’s best ever.
WOLFMOTHER will perform at Park Stage today, Sunday 6/30, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Today's tune "Love Train" is a song featured on the 2006 international version of their debut studio album Wolfmother. "Love Train" was released as the fifth single on 18 September 2006.
The music video for "Love Train" was directed by Jay Martin, who described it as a combination of "band portraits and epic, heroic performance."
"Love Train" was noted for being featured in an iPod advertisement. It was also featured in The Hangover Part II.

ELECTRIC CITIZEN are based in Cincinnati and signed to California based heavyweight, RidingEasy Records, ELECTRIC CITIZEN has spent the last several years touring the world headlining and opening for acts like KING DIAMOND, PENTAGRAM, THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN, FU MANCHU, BUDOS BAND, CHARLES BRADLEY, JOAN JETT, WOLFMOTHER and playing renowned festivals like Psycho Las Vegas, Psycho California and Desert Fest Belgium.

After bursting to the American heavy rock forefront with their 2014 debut album, Sateen, Electric Citizen released their second album, Higher Time in 2016; a breakout moment for the band as a whole and for vocalist Laura Dolan. Like its predecessor, Higher Time was recorded at The Diamonds studio in Cincinnati by Brian Olive (The Greenhornes, Dan Auerbach, Dr. John, etc.), and in search of an even more expansive feel, Laura, Ross and Brian traveled to mix alongside Black Keys engineer Collin Dupuis at Easy Eye in Nashville, TN.
ELECTRIC CITIZEN branch out with stage-born assurance across a collection of definitive rock ‘n’ roll. It is a bold, complete sound that sacrifices nothing of the band’s on-stage energy and clearly demonstrates that while their progression has been quick, it’s been hard won the traditional way: They worked their collective ass off. ELECTRIC CITIZEN brazenly refuse to be pigeonholed and craft a style that, like every stage they step onto, is completely their own. Look for them on the road in North America and Europe throughout 2018 and beyond.
Today's tune "Misery Keeper" taken from the bands latest release "Higher Time", enjoy!

Victorious is the new fourth studio album by Australian hard rock band WOLFMOTHER. Recorded at Henson Recording Studios with producer Brendan O'Brien, it is due to be released on 19 February 2016 by the Universal Music Group.
WOLFMOTHER frontman Andrew Stockdale began working on the follow-up to 2014's "New Crown" in January 2015 at a studio in New South Wales, writing songs on guitar, bass and drums as he had done previously with the band's 2005 self-titled album. Speaking about the writing process, Stockdale explained that "Back in the early days, I'd play guitar, bass, and drums and then present the ideas to the band and we'd work on the arrangement together", which he claimed is "a good way to do things because it can make the style more cohesive." Two of the earliest tracks written for the album were "The Love That You Give" and "Pretty Peggy", the latter of which was completed in approximately an hour.
Recording for Victorious took place at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood, California, with production led by Brendan O'Brien. Stockdale was crediting for writing all of the material and performing all vocals, guitars and bass, with drum contributions coming from Josh Freese and Joey Waronker. Ian Peres did not perform bass on the album as usual, but did record all keyboard parts. Speaking about the recording process, Stockdale has claimed that the sessions were very quick and simple, with a song completed every day or two between himself, O'Brien and the drummer. The album was reportedly finished within a month and a half.
The first two songs premiered from Victorious were "Victorious" and "City Lights", which were played on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio station by Zane Lowe on 19 November 2015. "Victorious" was later released as the lead single from the album. "Gypsy Caravan" was released online on 5 January 2016, followed by a lyric video for "Pretty Peggy" on 9 February.
Following the album's release, WOLFMOTHER will embark on the Gypsy Caravan Tour, which starts with a North American leg on 24 February 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota running until 1 April in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is due to be followed by a 27-show European leg running from 8 April to 14 May. Speaking at the time of the album's announcement, Stockdale noted that the touring lineup would include Ian Peres, but that the drummer would be dependent on schedules; he identified Cosmic Egg drummer Dave Atkins as a possibility.
Today's tune "Victorious" is written by vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, it was produced by Brendan O'Brien and serves as the title track for the band's 2016 fourth studio album Victorious.

A quartet from central Pennsylvania, Crobot (named after a half-bird, half-”bot,” half-alien) caught my attention a few months back. A record that has really grown and now occupies the position as this years first "Record of the week" here at Tune Of The Day.
Their dirty sound, bluesy space rocking and energy-packed album takes me down to earth completely. With remnants from the 70's rock and set evoked memories of Rival Sons, The Parlor Mob, Danava and Wolfmother.
With a powerful packed punch of the vocals of lead singer Brandon Yeagley is the solid top of this iceberg, with his unique style, he tells his story where the foundation is made of the low frequencies expressed by Sam Grim on the bass guitar along with Tony Kobel on drums and where Chris Bishop can mesmerise us with his bobbing guitar riffs.
This eleven-track effort would be loved by any classic or modern rock
connoisseur, and with so many dirty seventies hard rock grooves with a
modern twist can't be better than this. The only thing I miss is the physical format Vinyl, perhaps they chooses
to release it eventually, one can only hope (although thisis onlya parenthesis).
Todays tune is the celestial-birthed, riffy title track taken from Crobot's debut "The Legend of the Spaceborne Killer"
Yesterday, did Stockholm got visited by no less than Within Temptation who played in a nearly sold-out Arenan here in Stockholm, but more on that tomorrow. Today we check out the support act which was a pleasant surprise. A fiery threepiece Dutch band called "Triggerfinger" consisting of a trio of guitarist and singer Ruben Block, drummer Mario Goossens and bassist Paul Van Bruystegem. Now, it takes some grit - and style - to be dubbed “the loudest band in Antwerp”, and in some ways the moniker is a testament to their past efforts; which have built up a considerable and loyal following in the Lowlands. (If you have any doubts about the powerful and multidimensional sound they can command, just give their live LP Faders Up (2007) a spin). But sights are now being set further afield from this great Flemish city, especially with the release on Excelsior Recordings - on the 15th of November 2010 - of their third album: All This Dancin’ Around, the follow up to the successful What Grabs Ya? And 2004’s Triggerfinger.
This is a band that have developed the hard way; years of touring the clubs, pubs, festivals and dives of Europe have bred a fierce and uncompromising sound.
Todays tune is the title track of "All This Dancin’ Around". The album was recorded at the famous Sound City studio in Los Angeles, where Nirvana’s Nevermind was produced. Recording sessions, under the aegis of producer Greg Gordon (a man who has turned his talents to the sounds of Oasis, Wolfmother, Slayer and Soulwax amongst others). Enjoy!
