Today i feel a bit tired and frozen, just grabbed my eleventh cup of coffee when it hit me, there is a great tune that is called like that, so i checked my collection and found Bob Dylans album desire where the tune is. But this tune has also been well coverd during the years and there is a few that is very good, like todays version with The White Stripes. Furthermore there is a version by Roger McGuinn and Calexico for the 2007 film I'm Not There. Calexico also performs the song at their concerts. Robert Plant covered the song in his 2002 album Dreamland. In 2003, Sertab Erener covered this song which in turn became the soundtrack of the movie Masked and Anonymous. In 2009 Italian rock noir band Belladonna covered the song in their Rome, Italy show. Frazey Ford included a cover of the song on her 2010 debut solo album, Obadiah.
Todays tune "One More Cup of Coffee" tells the tale of a girl whose family are gypsies and drifters, and of the man who must leave her to enter the "valley below". The narrator describes a character who is beautiful: "your eyes are like two jewels in the sky" but for whom the narrator's love and admiration are not reciprocated ("but I don't sense affection no gratitude or love, your loyalty is not to me but to the stars above"). The song deals with themes of abandonment; the apparent end of a relationship and the concept of a coming journey. The song could be seen as a metaphor for Dylan's relationship with Sara; however, this is unsubstantiated. The song is also thought to have been inspired by a visit Dylan made to Saintes Maries de Mer in Provence, France, where there is an annual gathering of Romany people who venerate Saint Sarah the Egyptian. This would seem to point to another link to Sara Dylan.
The song was written at a corner table at the Other End nightclub in Greenwich Village in the summer of 1975.

Right now, or at least almost right now is Coheed and Cambria on stage in Fryshuset and Arenan here in Stockholm, ohh I wish I was there, but as I often say that you can not have everything and can not be everywhere all the time. Coheed and Cambria have visited this blog a few times before, but we'll take a look at what it is.
Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band from Nyack, New York, who formed in 2001. The band incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, heavy metal and post-hardcore. Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series of story media written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and several special-edition releases. In 2008, the band held a four-day concert series, Neverender, during which they played their first four studio albums in succession. Their fifth studio album, Year of the Black Rainbow, which is a prequel to the series, was released on April 13, 2010.
Todays tune "Here We Are Juggernaut" is the first single from the Coheed and Cambria album Year of the Black Rainbow. The music video features the band playing the song on a rooftop with cuts to people witnessing a celestial phenomenon. The video concludes with a young man and woman gazing towards the phenomenon, a view of the Keywork in the sky. Many fans speculate the young man and woman to be, in fact, the title characters of Coheed and Cambria. Enjoy!
Deftones are out on tour and play tonight in Oslo, and tomorrow will these gentlemen come over to Sweden for a gig at Arenan here in Stockholm. Support act on the tour is Coheed and Cambria.
Todays tune "You've Seen the Butcher" is the fourth official single by Sacramento, California based rock band, The Deftones, from their sixth studio album Diamond Eyes. The song is unique among modern rock singles for its use of an unusual time signature. The music video shows the band playing in a worn out library, which appears to be floating in the air, whilst library books rain down from the sky. Enjoy!

In the end 70´s I encounter a band named Camel.
A bit different than the other rock band I used to listen to
under this time, such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.
I went on a concert in Stockholm with em,
awesome concert loved every bit of it.
Was swimming around in another world and time too for that matter.
Then today someone mentioned them again, and I thought wow
yeah Camel, that was some time ago.
They still exist although its only Andrew Latimer that
still are there from the beginning.
Most recent line-up
Andrew Latimer on guitar, vocals, flute, recorder, keyboards, bass guitar
Colin Bass on bass guitar, vocals, keyboard, acoustic guitar
Denis Clement on drums, percussion
Ton Scherpenzeel on keyboards.
They done 14 studio albums and several live album
and 7 dvd´s and the latest dvd was done 2007.
Now Im gonna play to u a tune from the album
"Music Inspired by The Snow Goose"
Its the third album released by the band Camel in 1975. The success of the White Rider suite (based on J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and appearing on the band's previous album, Mirage), inspired the group to write more novel-inspired conceptual suites.
Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Especially popular in the United States and Canada, the event is spreading to other nations such as Australia and the United Kingdom. On this day, many retailers open very early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season. Because Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, the day after occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November.
The day's name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. Use of the term began by 1966 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that "Black Friday" indicates the period during which retailers are turning a profit, or "in the black."
So today we celebrate this day with a tune from the 3-piece band "The Sugars", they are based in London, UK, originally hailing from Leeds and signed to Bad Sneakers Records. The Sugars are Matt Bolton (vox/guitar), Alex Lewis (drums) and Anna Greenway (vox/bass guitar). The Sugars style is a diverse collection of indie punk rock blues, via mariachi infused Latin.
Todays tune "Black Friday" is one off thier singles taken from their debut album "The Curse Of The Sugars". Enjoy!
This eminent band is touring atm in the US.
They just released Croweology its an acoustic-based album on August 3, 2010. The set includes twenty tracks from the band's career, covering their albums from Shake Your Money Maker to Lions in mostly acoustic rearrangements.
I saw em the first time as the support band to Neil Young.
I remember they had nice oriental carpets and the singer Chris Robinson
were dancing and singing barefooted.
The Black Crowes also have a connection with Stones and my favorite band Led Zeppelin, cos in October 1999, the band was joined by Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page for two pairs of shows in New York and Los Angeles, yielding a live release, Live at the Greek on TVT Records. Due to contractual issues with Columbia, Live at the Greek does not feature any of the band's songs performed with Page.
The collaboration led to a more extensive tour with Page and The Who in summer 2000, during which Pipien was replaced by Greg Rzab. Following the tour, singer Chris Robinson married actress Kate Hudson in Dec. 2000,
before heading back to the studio to record the band's sixth studio album.
Todays tune is from their second album,
The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion,
and its also on this compilation album that I write about above.

Today I was actually thinking of whether I should make a visit to the hairdresser to cut it all away, would almost be a relief to be able to take a shower without having to use a whole handful of shampoo and conditioner, avoid getting hair in your mouth when you eat, yes you guys with long hair know what I mean. But on the other side, it is pretty nice with long hair, now that winter has taken its firm grip and the hair heats a little extra nice around your neck.
With hair in mind, I came to think of a band "Black Mountain", that on their last album "Wilderness Heart" they had a song that deals with hair, you guessed it, "The Hair Song" so today we think of hair, the tune has a Strong Led Zeppelin vibe, a little “When the Levee Breaks”... enjoy.

I was reading another blog a Swedish one, called FredrikD
He gave me a reminder of a great singer, Jeff Scott Soto!
Jeff singed with many big names, for example Talisman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Journey, Axel Rudi Pell among many.
Jeff was also in a fictitious heavy metal band featuring real musicians, called Steel Dragon. Its quite funny cos Stones told me when seeing this that he had a guitar pic from that special band in his collection, Its from Zakk, Thats so cool! Lemme show u.
Anyway they were created to appear in the Warner Bros. film Rock Star (2001), inclusively being responsible for the movie's original soundtrack and this tune comes from that film. In this "band" we have many musicians that I like, singers were Jeff, Michael Matijevic and Myles Kennedy. Additional musicians helped compose and perform the songs were:
Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne), Jeff Pilson (Dio, Foreigner, Dokken), Jason Bonham (Foreigner, The Who, Black Country Community), Jason Flemyng (Actor), Mark Wahlberg (Actor) and Dominic West (Actor). Thats something huh!?!
Jeff Scott Soto´s style is typical of heavy metal vocalists of the 1980s, but he is also influenced by classic soul music singers such as Sam Cooke as well as Journey vocalist Steve Perry, and Freddie Mercury from Queen.
Jeff has done 10 solo albums and several with others. He also sang back vocals with many artists, Dokken, Lita Ford, Slagther and on the song "Here we are" in the movie Mad Max.
So this guy is really productive!
Lets hear him sing :)
Peace, Thetania
Here is the Film video of the very same song..

Tomorrow U should be in Stockholm, Sweden and in Debaser, Medis.
Cos, Raised Fist will give u a gig there!!!
I just have to go!!
Last time i saw em, they were unbelievable.
Raised Fist is known as one of the scene's best and most energetic live bands and is now a household name for fans of hard music, period.
In 2009 they did an album called Veil of Ignorance, Produced by Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah), who also teamed up with Raised Fist on their previous records, the Swedish heavyweights have delivered a 14 track wall of sound of sonic variety that showcases Raised Fist's musical maturity.
I had em b4 with the first track of this album.
Now I give u Wounds!
Avenged Sevenfold is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The band consists of vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance and bassist Johnny Christ.
Avenged Sevenfold emerged with a metalcore sound on their debut Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, which included primarily screamed vocals. The band changed their style on their third album and first major label release, City of Evil, which features more melodic vocals and power ballads. The band continued to explore new sounds with their self titled release and enjoyed continued mainstream success before their drummer, James "The Rev" Sullivan, died of heart disease and combined effect of drugs and alcohol in his body in 2009. Despite his death, the band continued on with help of then Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and released their fifth album Nightmare in 2010 which debuted on the top spot of the Billboard 200, a first for the band.
Avenged Sevenfold visited Stockholm and a sold-out Arenan yesterday. The band as the day before the visit to Malmö, was still tagged to a thousand. The evening begins with an intro "The Sounds of Silence" signed by Simon and Garfunkel. With a huge cheers climb these dudes up on stage and tear off their hit Nightmare, which currently is being torn to shreds completely at Bandit Radio:) Their scene and the light is basically the same as Stone Sour used the last Thursday in addition to some extra "Moving Lights "Stage building was filled out by some towers and real gates, as a cemetery, right pompous. Fire is a classic ingridiens amongst metal bands and there was also a favorite for this evening, it burned like never before so it was really hot inside the arena. The light that was hanging in the thruss was leased and its staff jumped right fresh each time the flames took over, largely because they were afraid that their equipment would be flambé.
Avenged Sevenfold is a band that I have not had time to acquaint myself with so much, saw them a few years ago when they were committed to open up the Stadion, do not really remember who the main act was, it felt like they were abit anonymous at that time, but now it was a different story , they took the stage and completely looked/felt satisfied by it fully. It is really fun is that they have a drummer who is a bit too good for the band, but he really brings the songs and create a real swing that is totally unprecedented. So I have to say I was pretty happy with the evening.
Here are some pictures from the evening from slightly different positions.
Todays tune "Welcome to the Family" is the second single for their fifth studio album, Nightmare. Enjoy!

The band sports a logo known as the "Deathbat". It was originally designed by an artistic high school friend of Avenged Sevenfold, Micah Montague, as seen on the band's first DVD, All Excess. The Deathbat has appeared on all of the band's album covers, many of which were done by Cameron Rackam, a close friend of the band. The Deathbat has developed from just being a skull with bat wings, to sometimes appear as a full "man size" skeleton with bat wings, as it can be seen at the cover of albums City of Evil and Nightmare and on singles "Dear God" and "Scream". On Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, there are pictures of two people (in which appear to be Cain and Abel), another angel-like human and a semi-opaque Deathbat below it, several Deathbats appear on the back cover of the album as well. The Deathbat also appears on covers of number of singles such as "Bat Country", "Warmness on the Soul" and "Critical Acclaim".

This great band was ending this metal Chaos!
It was a bit of a tragedy cos the sound sucked big time!
I read in the newspaper a critic on em, and it wasent good.
But they got it all wrong. It was the sound tech that didnt do
their job right, the song mic was way to high and the instruments
were to low. Disaster in my ears.
Dispite that, it was a great concert!!
The video screens was very good placed and it maked a good impact.
They did their best!
I took some pics here as well.
I picked a single from their new album, Asylum and that is the
fifth studio album by Disturbed.
They have done 5 studio albums and 1 live album.
Disturbed began building Asylum as soon as they got off the road in the summer of 2009. Officially entering Groovemaster Studios in February 2010, the band set about self-producing the album, as they did with Indestructible. Draiman declares,
"This record shows a certain degree of maturation and enhanced complexity.
Asylum is still identifiably Disturbed, but the evolution is clear.
It preserves the elements of what we do but at a more advanced level."
"We took our signature foundation, and we tried to build on that," adds Donegan.
"For every album, we've pushed ourselves even more than in the past.
Asylum is no exception."
Ladys and Gents, Let me present Disturbed, Asylum!
