Corroded - Cross

The Swedish rockers CORRODED have released "Cross", a brand new single and video taken from the upcoming fifth studio album "Bitter", set to be released January 26, 2019, via Despotz Records.

"Cross" is a harder and tougher tune that we are used to hearing from the Swedish dudes.

It has been almost 5 years since CORRODED recorded their latest album, but due to record company replacement, the album was not released until last year. Since then, the band has recovered lost time, which has meant a lot of touring. How fun it may be to travel around the world and play for their loyal fans, the band was aware that they needed to make a new album as soon as possible so as not to lose the drive again.

This gave the band extreme time pressure. With just a handful of song ideas and only one weekend to write new material, the odds did not look very good for the band yet.

"We made three songs that weekend and together with the rest of the ideas we had, we began to build on what would be the finished album." - says guitarist Tomas.

"It was not particularly difficult to find the topics when we finally started writing the texts. The breakthrough with our first record label and the political state in the world made us all annoyed and angry. The album title came very easy and is the perfect summary word for how we have known the past few years. Now we feel it's time to move on and there's no better way to do it than to create a hard-striking metal album, "says Jens, lead singer, and guitarist.

"We started very stressed and we were not even sure if we would get the album ready on time, but we did not do it well on time, it came out much better than we had hoped for! It's brutal, honest, melodic but also edgy. It's CORRODED and it's BITTER! "- Jens, Per, Bjarne, and Tomas.

Today's tune "Cross" is the first single of CORRODED’s upcoming 5th album BITTER which is set for release on 26.01.2019. This is the first out of a trilogy of videos produced by Bullsize Productions.

Corroded - Carry Me My Bones

After releasing the new album "Defcon Zero" and recently breaking the audience record for the 4Sound Stage at Sweden Rock Festival CORRODED launches a new lyric video for the song “Carry Me My Bones”. It's the second single from the new album and is co-written with Anders Fridén from IN FLAMES.

We think it turned out to be the most honest, dark and beautiful video we’ve ever made. CORRODED is a Swedish heavy metal band from Ånge, Sweden. The band became best known for their song "Time And Again" which was the theme song for the Swedish 2009 Survivor television series on TV4. The band's second album "Exit to Transfer", released in October 2010 for Ninetone Records, reached number 6 on the Swedish national record chart Sverigetopplistan. In 2012 they released "State of Disgrace". In 2013 CORRODED played an extended European Tour supporting AIRBOURNE from Australia and received a great feedback for the energetic live shows. Singer Jens Westin is an impassionate biker and apart from making music he's a teacher for music. Their latest release "Defcon Zero" came out 2017.

Corroded - Fall of a Nation

The Swedish Rockers CORRODED is back with a new track "Fall of a Nation" and a brand new album "Defcon Zero", release today the 14th April.

The band was formed in Ånge, Sweden, but most of the guys live and bread in the Stockholm now.

"Fall of a Nation" is the first single, video and today's tune from the album. The video shows an dark, ugly and angry version of the way that the band thinks the listener experiences when they hear the song.

"Defcon Zero" is the first album in five years, it will also be their first release on Despotz Records. The sound is heavier than before, but the melodies are still intact.

Today they will have a release party here in Stockholm, at John Scotts, Kungsgatan. If don't have anything to do, be there.

Days Of Jupiter - Broken Halo

The Swedish DAYS OF JUPITER are ready to take the world by storm with their bombastic, catchy melodic and heavy brand of hardrock.

The band looks for influences on both sides of the Atlantic ocean and they combines the modern american metal with classic hardrock from Europe and moulding it to their own mix as you can discover on their debut album "Secrets brought to life". The album consists of 10 uncompromising songs that will blow everyone away.

DAYS OF JUPITER was formed in january 2010 in Örnsköldsvik and after a few changes in the line-up they formed a solid group that could deliver the bands vision of a worldclass hardrock/metalband. 2010 was a year of a lot of hardwork that resulted in a lot of livegigs in Sweden with a fantastic response from the audience as well as a second place in Sweden's biggest competition for unsigned bands. They began the recording of their debut album with well known producer Patrik Frisk (CORRODED, TAKIDA, CRASHDIET) in Sidelake studios and were very pleased with the results when they finished recording in august 2011.

Corroded - House of Hate

Friday, what do you do on a day like this, for those of you who do not want to spend the evening on the couch at home with a little "Fredagsmys (Cosy Friday)" (Swedish Friday tradition), you could always get out for some adventure. One tip is that you make a visit to the "Globe Arenas" and Annexet here in Stockholm and visit "Rocktoberfest"

Here they are mixing rock (Corroded, Sherlock Brothers and Self Deception) with five star street food and some real quality beer! Stureplansgruppen Arena Catering and Stockholm Globe Arenas welcomes you to a brand new variant of the German classic Oktoberfest. Together with the Chef of the Year (1999), Karl Ljung and master brewer John Spendrup from Gotland Brewery, they create a tasteful feast with great live entertainment.

One of the bands that is playing there is Corroded, who are mixing a tour start with a release party for their brand new record "X Years of Anger".

Corroded officially took shape in 2004 after a couple of jam sessions. It was soon clear that the path of the band would be in the heritage of the heavy rock acts of the 70 ́s with additional layers of a more modern sound.

Three Cd ́s were recorded in the first struggling years as an unsigned act:
2005 - Heart of the Machine
2007 - Sessions ward-22
2007 - III

Numerous great reviews were published in magazines and webzines like German legendary banger magazine Metal Hammer. Due to the attention the band was soon booked for a Sweden Rock Festival apperance. and after their first UK tour - 2008 they were signed to Ninetone Records Corroded, went quickly from unknown to household in Sweden, when national TV station TV4 handpicked their de- but-single “Time and Again” to accompany the promotion of their blockbuster show “Expedition Robinson” internationally known as “Survivor”.

The band has been touring immensely in their homeland , hitting all important clubs and festivals in Sweden Such as Debaser ,Sticky Fingers , KB , Sweden Rock Festival, Metaltown, Getaway Rock Festival , Rockstad Falun and Sonisphere Pre Party. Corroded also supported Avenged Sevenfold on their tour through the Nordic Countries in the fall of 2010 and Stone Sour in Sthlm 2012.

The band is deep within the same influences as before with the heavy rock acts of the 70:s,80 ́s and 90 ́s with addition- al layers of a more modern sound shining through.

Black Spiders - Balls

They descended from the land of ice and snow, forged on anvils by the hammers of the Gods...............

Black Spiders, originally put together to celebrate the passing of a dear friend and to tear up some classic rock n’ roll tunes in his honour, led by Pete ‘Spider’ Spiby with side-kick Ozzy ‘Ozzy’ Lister they set about writing tall tales and wrestling monstrous riffs. Thusly, and with great determination they began demoing tracks for a Long Player with past cohort Mark ‘Dark Shark’ Thomas. Killer shows followed with likeminded friends and heroes such as; SuperSuckers, and Dwarves…....audiences were duly slain!

With the line up accommodating a face ripping triple-axe-attack, fully complemented by a rhythmic demolition squad expertly handled by ‘Tiger Si’ Atkinson on drums and Adam ‘Fox’ Irwin on bass, they set forth and tore up mainland Europe with the mighty Airbourne. Next came UK with The Datsuns, Winnebago Deal, Parlor Mob, Stone Gods and Danko Jones - these men are ready to take on a world that is eager for some rock and/or roll and have been called to appear at this year’s Download festival at the gladiatorial Donnington Park.

It’s taken from their latest album, This Savage Land, which was made from the proceeds of a successful Pledge Music campaign. Whitesnake - Still Of The Night

After an amazing day in the sun with graduation containing Romeo and Juliet and coffee with Strawberry cake and then grill with the family, the clock struck quarter to seven and the wife and I came to, what the hell, let's go to Grönan and check out Whitesnake. So it was a really spontaneous evening at Grönalund with Whitesnake.

A gig that I trembled a little before, but where I got in the mouth, an incredibly psyched Coverdale made ​​a good gig, his voice was okey until the end when it unfortunately broke up. But overall, it did not matter, I was happy, it was probably most who were there, I would think. After the gig I ran into some good friends so that Mike and Robin (Sonic Syndicate), Per (Corroded) among a few others.

After all, we met up with Robert (Metalyze) for a cold beer and talked a bit about the gig and other nice things, a very nice evening.

"Still of the Night" (also known as "In the Still of the Night") is a song by Whitesnake. It was released as the fourth single and third track from their hugely successful self titled 1987 album. The song was written by lead singer David Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes, and proved to be one of the band's most popular songs. It combines the blues origins of the band with the more distorted, harder sound driving the song, making for a powerful hard rock song. The current Whitesnake lineup and John Sykes both play the song as their live encore.

In 2009, in an interview with Metal Hammer, Coverdale commented on the origins of the song:

"When my mother died I was going through the stuff at her house and found some early demo cassettes. One of them was a song that Ritchie Blackmore and I had been working on which was the basic premise of what would become "Still of the Night". It was totally unrecognizable, so Ritchie doesn't have anything to worry about... neither do I! Ha ha ha! I took it as far as I could then I gave it to Sykesy when we were in the south of France, and he put the big guitar hero stuff on there. John hated blues so I had to work within those parameters. I manipulated to be electric blues, but how he performed it was fabulous for his time and relatively unique because of the songs. There were a lot of people doing that widdly stuff but they didn't have the quality of those songs."



Offical Music Video of Still of the Night. The music video, featuring Coverdale's then future wife Tawny Kitaen, was shot for the song, and it was MTV's most requested video in its first week of release.

Corroded - As I Am

Couple of nights ago I worked on Debaser Medis, a really nice place in Stockholm.

The sound is damn good!

Corroded was the headline band and they had 2 support band Mass Murder Agenda and Itchy Daze.

All of em from Sweden. Mass Murder did a fantastic gig, I was amazed!

Itchy Daze wasent so much my cup of tea but they played good.

Corroded have been one of my favoo a long time, I do like the mix of hard rock with a melodic thred in it.

Corroded is a Swedish heavy metal band from Ånge in Sweden. They released their frist album in 2009 and 2012 they released their 3rd album "State Of Disgrace" A much harder heavier rock than the first one´s.. I really enjoyed the gig, couldnt even concentrate on my work hehe  :D
