Vidunder - A Fooling Dream

"A Fooling Dream" is a tune by the Swedish bluesy garage rockers VIDUNDER.

On June 2, 2017 they released the song "A Fooling Dream", the B-side from the 7" single "Thirst". This was the last tune from the band, right after the release, the band decided to let VIDUNDER go.

This is what they said.

"After six intense, and less intense years we have come to a point where we feel it's time to let go, time to put this beast into the grave.

We want to thank all of you who came to our shows, booked our shows, bought our records, distributed our records, recorded our records, drove us around Europe, followed us around Europe, bands that supported us, bands we had the honour to support and to you who helped us in any way not mentioned; THANK YOU!!! Without you guys it wouldn't have been possible and for that we are forever thankful!

A special thanks to Peter at Crusher Records, Funky Thomas, Ricky at Swamp Bookings and our nearest for believing in us and our music.

See you bat-cats out there, in one way or another!

/Jens, Martin & Linus

Now we almost reached the end of this year, December 16th and during this time of the year it's time to sum it all up and present all the best that 2015 have given us.

Once again it has been a really decent year album wise. Shit loads of money have been spent on records that now is going to fight for the top spots on Tune of the days Top 50 list, yes top 50 this year :) I had really hard to choose this year, to many good records have been released. And of course many great records have unfortunately fallen off the list, but the music heart have decided and now when I look at it, it was not quite what I had expected from the beginning, but what the heck it's my choices and hope that some records might hook you up and that you soon might buy a few of them to support the artists that have put all their soul into the creation of all the wonderful tunes.

"Honk Machine" is a blast of pure rock fun with cherry picks of the best elements of the 60’s & 70’s. classics.

The British veteran hard rockers THUNDER releases a real "Wonder" after six year hiatus. "Wonder Days"  is a real contemporary cool back to retro-rock. A great British rock album.

After 17 years, REFUSED has returned with a new shape of Freedom that’s just as wild and eclectic as their last.

"Holding All The Roses" is simply a great record that I enjoy listen to. This is the record that could expand their base exponentially.

"Dark Bird is Home" is Kristian Matsson's darkest album, but still it's a grandiose master piece in the Singer Song Writer genre.

70's organ stoner rock with loads of raw wonderful riffs.

44. Enslaved - In Times
"In Times" is an experimental metal record with duelling solos and epic keyboard swells.

Vidunder - Gone With Dawn

Swedish act Vidunder released their brand new single “Gone With Dawn” on March 18th. Now it’s time for the horrifying video!

Vidunder is a bluesy rock band with a touch of garage, influenced by the music from the 60’s and the 70’s. The band teamed up with Crusher Records and released their self-titled debut album in May 2013; an album praised by numerous major magazines, press, fans and did a pretty big impact here on Tune Of The Day. After several tours over Europe it’s definitely about time… A new album is coming up!

The first taste is the brand new single that also will be released as a bundle bonus in the pre-order for the new album.

The 7” flexi is strictly limited to 500 copies and is only available as a bundle with the LP or CD at Crusher Records shop (use link below).

The video “Gone With Dawn” goes in the "The horror theme",  is a thriller by the earlier kind reminiscent of bygone horror films. A story about an old lonely vampire, party, noble anger and sudden death.

The video is a concoction of the song's theme, mixed with the band's common fascination for old horror movies and interest to run around in old baroque clothes. It is produced by Petter Cronquist along with the band, and is filmed in Skåne’s (a southern part of Sweden) Transylvania.

The song is a taste of how Vidunder sounds nowadays, and builds on something a little more cocky and rock n rollin than before. It centers on the horrors that come with becoming vampire and having to yield to desires of the flesh.

The sound has got its natural development of the addition in the form of Jonathan on the organ, mixed with extensive touring, many wrestling matches, backgammon and snuff poker and a whole bunch of cool people we have met along the way."

Todays tune "Gone With Dawn" taken from The upcoming album ”Oracles And Prophets” is due on May 22nd via Crusher Records. Pre-Order it here:

The video is directed by Petter Cronquist and Vidunder. Shot, special effects and edited by Petter Cronquist. Video released 2nd of April 2015. Taken from the single ”Gone With Dawn, released on Crusher Records 20th of March 2015.
