Behold! The Monolith - Architects of the Void
The Los Angeles based Sludge Metal heavyweights take the position 17 on Tune Of The Days "Best Albums 2015" with the album "Architects of the Void".
"Architects of the Void" follows critically acclaimed 2012 release "Defender, Redeemist" and marks the debut of vocalist Jordan Nalley who took the reigns following the tragic 2013 death of Kevin McDade in a car accident. The album will also be the first for new bassist Jason "Cas" Casanova (SASQUATCH). The album artwork was created by Dusty Peterson (BLOODBATH, SIX FEET UNDER, OCEANO)."
BEHOLD! THE MONOLITHs "Architects of the Void" is in memory of a fallen family member. The band have overcome a tragedy and made one of the best sludge doom metal albums of the year!
Not to mention that these sonic rumblings were again actualized by veteran producer/engineer/mixer Billy Anderson (whose star-studded credits list includes NEUROSIS, SLEEP, HIGH ON FIRE, CATHEDRAL, ACID KING, WEEDEATER, AGALLOCH, LEVIATHAN, and PALLBEARER), and mastered by Justin Weis (AGALLOCH, PALLBEARER), so you know you're in good hands here.
Today's tune "Philosopher's Blade" is taken from the album Architects of the Void.
