Entombed - Damn Deal Done
Entombed is a Swedish death metal band which formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Though Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include hardcore punk and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll.
Yesterday did Entombed open up for Amon Amarth at Arenan/Stockholm on the European tour together with Evile, a UK Trash band. Sadly, just a few days into their tour, Evile's Mike Alexander was suddenly taken ill and rushed to hospital, but tragically passed away in Lulea, Sweden. RIP Mike. So the setup in Stockholm was with out Evile, to bad, i was looking forward to see them live.
Entombed delivered their metal as they usually do, LG was in top condition but with the classic flue, that you get around these years in Scandinavia. Entombed played tunes as Chief Rebel Angel, Wolverine blues, Serpent Saints, When in sodom, Eyemaster, Stranger Aeons, Damn deal done and Left hand path. It was a great gig and i was a pleasure to work with these guys, got some time off during the gig so i was able to shoot some pictures. But this is a busy weekend with alots of gigs and i mean alot. Just going to finish this up and jump into my car and off to Globen Area where Massive Attack is playing tonight.
And for tomorrow on the tune of the day i will continue on yesterdays gig at Arenan. But here is one picture at least from Entombed yesterday.
Todays tune "Damm Deal Done" is taken from the fourth album "DCLXVI: To Ride Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth", released in 1997. DCLXVI is 666 in Roman numerals.
