The Bear Quartet - The Plain No

Today is The Bear Quartet day, the band is playing at Debaser Stockholm, so if you don't have anything to do, get over there.
The Bear Quartet is an indie rock group from Luleå, Sweden. Formed in 1989. The Bear Quartet are Mattias Alkberg on vocals and guitar, Jari Haapalainen on guitar, Peter Nuottaniemi on bass guitar, Jejo Perkovic on drums and Carl Olsson on keyboards. Peter and Mattias write the lyrics, while Mattias, Jari and Carl write the music.

The name The Bear Quartet is taken from Klas Östergren's novel Gentlemen. The album titles follow an interesting naming scheme: every title is two words, of which the first ends with a "y". And the latest album 89 (Eighty-nine) is an interesting journey thru music a very good record from this band. Todays theme on the BQ gig at Debaser will be the new record, Was listening to their soundcheck and it sounded very good and it would be nice to see the gig, but not today, working early tomorrow. Was able to get a picture before i left.

Todays tune is "The Plain No" from the record "Gay Icon" (2001), would like to add a new tune but coulnt find any good clip so i guess i have to add one later but this tune is good enough, Enjoy!
