Swedish action-rock trio THE DRIPPERS, hailing from Gothenburg have released their new single ”Time For Some Action”. THE DRIPPERS is influenced by the shitty Rock N Roll of classic bands like THE NEW BOMB TURKS, GLUECIFER, THE HELLACOPTERS, TURBONEGRO and THE STOOGES.
THE DRIPPERS brings you the dirty high octane garage punk ’n’ rock where the new single ”Time For Some Action” is the first taste of THE DRIPPERS’ upcoming sophomore album, which follows their acclaimed 2019 debut "Action Rock".
THE DRIPPERS did a lot of rehearsing, pre-producing and writing prior to entering Sunlight Studio to record thier second album. "Time For Some Action" was just an idea we had started jamming on a couple of times, but in the car going to the studio William said "we're gonna record it for the album". So when they rehearsed and arranged it in the studio with Tomas Skogsberg (aka the Overlord of distortion) and recorded it while still learning the song. It always gives an extra edge to do it that way, you just let your instinct take over. It had a good groove and a commanding title, so it felt appropriate to choose it as the first single. Last in, first out! Boogie!

The Swedish ILL WICKER, progressive folk. "Untamed" is the second album. A tastefully composed album with great written stories.
ILL WICKER music is from the 60's and 70's England, it could be a combo of the classic INCREDIBLE STRING BAND in a combination of COMUS. Most of the tunes have a kinda pace with smashing drums and violent violins. The last tune on the album "Min Levnads Afton"/"Twelve Men" is based on Swedish folk tradition and have a slower approach, but very beautifully done.

Monday, new week, time to introduce "Record Of The Week"
"Raft of the World" is the third album by the Swedish rockers NIGHT .
A band that mixing an old school rock with classic NWOBHM, with good and groovy songs, great rock vocals and bombastic riffs makes these guys third release a real joy to play. The new album holds 9 tunes of pure rock music were the band explores
new territories and reconnects with the force that burns strong within.
The record opens up with the masterpiece "Fire Across The Sky", magic intro riffing and souring rocky vocals, a tune that set's the starting point of how things will sound like on the rest of the album. "Surrender" keeps the pace and it's a very melodic piece with great riffs and a rhythm section that really delivers a great soundscape. And it follows up with the more bombastic "Under the Gallows". A bassline that smooths the tune with it's white glows, a real groovy guitar solo that kicks ass! The short acoustic one minute "Omberg" is really nice. "Time", the first single and today's tune is a classic rocker. "Strike Of Lightning" another rocker with a stomping melody, great signing. The tempo rises in the next upbeat tune "Winds" where the bassist and drummer are in the spotlight, amazing tune! "Coin In A Fountain" have a old Western movie feeling, half paced, touchy and emotional, slow and very beautiful. The album closes on high ground with "Where Silence Awaits", wailing twin guitars, great hocks, groovy rhythms and scream vocals.
Sum: "Raft Of The World" is great album if you dig the early NWOBHM-inspired Swedish heavy metal then this is for you. Recommended!

The band have worked hard to create a ”larger than life” sound, building a studio of their own to get enough time to develop their songs to perfection. A cheerful production disguises a darker lyrical theme affected by today's world situation. MÄRVEL, known for their contagious hooks, pop melodies and rock 'n' roll soul, have tightened the bow and made braver decisions to make this the stand out album of their career. The album's spine is still very much vintage MÄRVEL, yet each of the twelve songs have got more of a character of its own.
Songs as "Angela" and ”Goodluck Sandy” are a further development of the sound that we first heard on the band's latest album "The Hills Have Eyes”. Two songs that takes the band several steps on that path with a rich production that puts full focus on the strong songwriting. The songs very well show King, Vicar and Burgher's newfound boldness and desire to evolve. ”Monsters Grow in the Dark” shows a new side of the band, where a darker, more sincere side is revealed. Still the Märvel we know is very much present, and it is perhaps mostly showcased in the direct hit ”All Over The News” that sports a classic Scandinavian approach - rock without any fuzz!
MÄRVEL signed a deal with The Sign Records in the beginning of 2017 and have since then started to re-release their earlier albums on new formats. Finding themselves a way out in new regions, the Swedish rock veterans are set for new challenges and conquests. MÄRVEL have never been this well equipped and ready to make a first and lasting impression on a new audience and deliver something fresh and virgin to their old fans. The band shines like never before.
