Vokonis - Grasping Time

The Swedish heavy prog-metal-trio, VOKONIS, is here to daze you with their furious sludge-vibe and melodic passages. Drenched inblasting distortion, melody, and menace, VOKONIS is ready to fully blossom as the progressive beast they’ve held within since 2015. With a style that ranges from the heavy riffage and vocals of heavy bands such as to utterly clean Pink Floydish soundscapes, they aim to completely immerse you in their songwriting. As you share a psychedelic and thrilling journey VOKONIS will have shown their range from full-blown doom to melodically blissful passages.

VOKONIS third and upcoming album “Grasping Time” will be released in the spring of 2019 on The Sign Records. Simon said of the process; “We’re practically living in our practice space. So it’s no wonder we’ve been productive. I always wanted for us to write our own "Crack The Skye". This might be it.” Simon, Emil, and Jonte have since their start putting everything in high gear. While they’ve released two records, being featured in the highly profiled “The Planet of Doom”-animated movie, Vokonis aren’t stepping down in tempo. Neither are satisfied. With a new sound, the trio is ready to launch themselves into the stratosphere.

[Guitar & Vocals - Simon]
[Drums - Peter]
[Bass - Jonte]

Playing shows and putting a bigger focus on touring Vokonis have shared stages with bands such as MONOLORD, SKRAECKOEDLAN, and BOMBUS.

VOKONIS are ready to take the next step. With a new dynamic sound and a goal set for the domination of the heavy underground they’re coming for your ears. Get ready.

Today's tune "Grasping Time" is the title tune from the upcoming album, set to be release September 6th, 2019 on The Sign Records, enjoy!

Egonaut - The Declaration

EGONAUT are four young Swedish lads from Borås, Sweden. EGONAUT is a violent discharge of hard rock, metal, doom and stoner rock. A collision between the seventies and today, through decades of hard rock, returns with her third and darkest album to date. "Deluminati" is set to release on CD and vinyl on June 4 - the same day as EGONAUT play at Sweden Rock Festival.

The band was formed in 2005 when Fredrik Jordanius became sick and tired of ploughing through the underground metal scene with nothing to keep him company but a pair of tight leather jeans and more double bass drums and falsetto screams than he could stand. He started searching for a new musical expression and in his long time friends Markus Johansson and Kristoffer Drotz he found the perfect combination to get a new band going, hence EGONAUT was born!

After releasing the critically acclaimed EP trilogy “Soundtrack to a Fistfight”, “Circus Egonaut” and “N-Pire” on their own label “Bastard Rock Records”, EGONAUT signed with Rambo/Sony Music and released their full-length debut album “Electric” in 2011. The album received great response from several critics. This was followed by “Los Egonauts”, A three-track EP containing two B-sides from Electric and the new single “Cursed And Damned” which led to Egonaut signing a deal with Swedish retro-rocklabel Transubstans Records. The second album, "Mount Egonaut" (Transubstans Records) saw the light of day in Feb 2013. The third album "Deluminati" is written during our Swedish, gloomy winter. They have worked with producer Mikael Andersson.

The band consists of:

Fredrik Jordanius - vox/ lead guitar
Mikael Bielinski - bass/backing vox
Dennis Zielinski - organs/backing vox
Markus Johansson - drums/backing vox

Todays tune "The Declaration" is taken from the upcoming new album "Deluminati".
