Rihanna - Diamonds

 

The next few days I'll offer some concerts that have been in the last week before it's time for some new tunes under the microscope and then taken over by festival music. Exciting?

So here we go, one gig at a time and it will become a sprawling mix of music.

So first out is the Barbados girl, Rihanna. She is out on the ongoing fifth concert tour "Diamonds World Tour". Launched to support her seventh studio album Unapologetic (2012). The tour began on March 8, 2013 in Buffalo, New York and will end in November 15, 2013 in New Orleans. She did visit the Globe, Stockholm, Sweden in July 22, 2013. The Diamonds World Tour includes five acts and an encore and includes all her hits.

The concert was majestic, grand, and the lady got up in time. The show was entertaining with awesome light and definitely worth seeing even if this is not my cup of tea.

Todays tune "Diamonds" is a song recorded by Rihanna for her seventh studio album, Unapologetic (2012). It was written by Sia Furler together with its producers, Benny Blanco and StarGate. The song premiered on September 26, 2012, during the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and was digitally released the following day as the lead single from Unapologetic. The song's lyrics serve as a departure from the themes of unhealthy relationships that were on Rihanna's previous singles.

Frank Ocean - Pyramids

Bråvalla festival is now over. To sum it all up, it was a nice festival, though it was a bit messy in between, but such one can expect when a new festival is to be built up on a new ground, but all issues got resolved in the end and all the bands could step up and play their songs to audience's cheers.

This year I was a bit of a handyman during this festival that changed the role each other day, started with "Steel", ie stage structures, then became the "production" that is, sound and light, the gig day, I was assistant stage manager at the Green stage and finished with a bit of truck driving on stage shredding. Now I'm finally at home, a little worn, but happy nonetheless.

Christopher Francis Ocean (born Christopher Breaux; October 28, 1987), better known by his stage name Frank Ocean, is an American singer-songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ocean started his career as a ghostwriter for artists such as Brandy, Justin Bieber, and John Legend. In 2010, he became a member of alternative hip hop collective OFWGKTA, and his debut mixtape, Nostalgia, Ultra, was released the following year to critical acclaim. The singles "Novacane" and "Swim Good" both achieved chart success. The mixtape gained the interest of recording artists such as Kanye West, Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z, and he consequently appeared on West and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne album.

Todays tune "Pyramids" is a song released as the second single from his debut studio album Channel Orange (2012). The song was written by Ocean and produced by Malay & Om'Mas Keith. The track features an uncredited guitar solo from recording artist John Mayer. On June 7, 2012, Ocean posted a small teaser video featuring a snippet of the song onto his tumblr account, and released the full, nearly 10 minute song later that day onto his official SoundCloud account. The song explores a narrative of a pimp falling in love with one of his clients. The track lyrically contains several extended metaphors referencing Cleopatra, pyramids, and strip clubs. The song received highly positive reviews and was called epic in nature by several publications, who praised the ambition and scope of the track's length, along with the lyrical merit.

The song was featured in a teaser for Ocean's upcoming album and was released with a cover featured The Simpsons style characters. The music video was directed by Nabil Elderkin and featured an orange car with an atmospheric background. The song has since debuted on the UK R&B Chart at number 31. The track has been featured during television promos for Channel Orange. Ocean performed "Pyramids" during his Channel Orange tour through North America.

Ellie Goulding - Your Song

A few days ago visited Ellie Stockholm and Debaser for a gig. An evening that was completely sold out felt well, one evening in the woman's character, it was a really uneven between the sexes, about 80/20 to the female league. Ellie exuded lots of joy to share their music. Her tones that can not really fall into one tray by genre, but this lady really sprawls all over, one foot in Pop tray, the other in Dance, the left arm in the R & B, the right in the Singer songwriter, the rest in the club world. Get the feeling that this lady doing as she pleases.

Elena Jane "Ellie" Goulding (born 30 December 1986) is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2010, she became the second artist to both top the BBC's annual Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards in the same year, following Adele's win of both in 2008.

After signing to Polydor Records in 2009, she released her first EP in 2009, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding. Goulding released her debut studio album, Lights, in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and has sold over 850,000 copies in the UK.

Goulding's second album Halcyon was released in October 2012 to generally positive reviews from critics.

Her cover of Elton John's "Your Song" reached number two in the UK in December 2010, and on 29 April 2011 she performed the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace. Produced by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, it was released digitally in the United Kingdom on 12 November 2010 as the re-release's lead single. The song is Todays Tune.


"Your Song" is a ballad composed and performed by English musician Elton John with lyrics by his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin. It originally appeared on John's self-titled second album in 1970. The song was released in the United States in October 1970 as the B-side to "Take Me to the Pilot". Both received airplay, but "Your Song" was preferred by disc jockeys and replaced "Take Me to the Pilot" as the A-side, eventually making the top ten on both the UK and US charts. In 1998, "Your Song" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2004 the song was placed at number 137 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".

Chris Brown - Till I Die

Monday night Chris Brown visited the Globe in Stockholm.
The arena was full of teens, mostly girls :D
Mr Brown released a new album in June this year and next year his 6th album will be released,
called "Carpe Diem" and he is only 23.

Jennifer Lopez - Goin' In ft. Flo Rida

 J Lo Visited Stockholm for the first time!

As a Hardrocker/Metal lover, I bow for this lady, the contact she had with her audience was amazing, not many can create it but SHE really had it.

Many artists in the same genre have other means to reach the their fans, with wearing weird stuff, wearing no clothes, lots of stuff on the stage, but J Lo didnt have much, but wot she had was just enought to make a good show. She gave it all, out on the cat walk she greeted her fans by hand.  She is much more beautyful than on a picture.

She was brought up in Bronx, NY,  by Puerto Rican parents.  She was one of the back up dancers to Janet Jackson and New Kids On The Block.

Jennifer is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and is the highest paid actor of Latin descent, making up to US$15 million per film role.

She have released 7 studio albums.

Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris

Jay-Z and Kanye West was in Stockholm, Sweden, singed for a filled up Ericsson Globe.

It was 2 stages, and a liftup stage on both of em, with a video screen around it when it was lifted up.
The Security was very high...One of the harderst Ive worked on.

This is not my cup of tea, but I must say my body moved anyway even if I tryed to stop it  haha.

Kanye West is an American musician, film director and fashion designer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Rock A Fella Records where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z album The Blueprint as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from Soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. His real name is Kanye Omari West.

Drake - Headlines (Explicit)

Drake visited Stockholm couple of days ago.
The Globe was full of girls and u could see here and there some guys as well.
The audience was thrilled, this is not my cup of tea, but I will get in something for u anyways..

His real name is Aubrey Drake Graham and he was born 1986 in Canada, Toronto.
He have his roths in te muic as his father was the drummer of Jerry Lee Lewis, and he has 2 uncles that are musicians as well.

He begun his musical life in 2006, when He released his first mixtape "Room for Improvement", it was made available via his website and official MySpace page.
After that he made two albums 2010 "Thank Me Later" and 2012 "Take Care".
