Kryptos - Full Throttle

Last Friday it was time again for the annual hard rock evening that is always on eve of Twelfth Night, this time it was on the day of Epiphany or Three Kings' Day, all thanks to me and Thetania that was on a trip and convinced the other guys to move it one day so we could be there, that is exactly what they did do, big thanks guys.

So with some great excitement I was looking forward for this evening, both to hear what the other participants have made up for this event and see what others liked my view of things. This is a great opportunity to discovering some new music, but the best of all is that you get an evening together with friends of the same kind, where the music is the topic, one thing that I hold so dear!

So in the biggest secret I have carved out the tracks for this evening, some new discoveries that showed up at the last minute and some tunes which I had in my baggage for a long time. But as usual the record was made in the last minute. Some of the tracks were pretty obvious through the presentation of the 2016's best albums that was publish here during Christmas and New Year.

As always it's really difficult to choose songs. This year I never got time for a theme, but overall it ended up pretty Ok after all.

This years line up of categories was:

1. Best Oriental rock.
2. Damn, this is good. (Something you previously have rejected)
3. A tune on high volume in the car makes you a good driver.
4. Evil is good, but witch record is the meanest of them all?
5. Orderly heavy, max 110bpm.
6. Optional song.
7. Optional song.
8. Best right now.

So over the next few days I'll present all my choices in the order of recording I had with me and I will mix it with tunes from the others :)

Here they come. Track no. 1 (track no.2 tomorrow and so on...)

My choice from yesterday's Hard Rock Night in the categorize 1. "Best Oriental rock".

MELECHESH - Multiple Truths, a tune that have all the typical oriental stuff that's needed to be oriental and it's very good.

Other tunes that was played.

AVANTASIA - Promised Land
KRYPTOS - Burn Up The Night
KRYPTOS - Blackstar horizon
MYRATH - Merciless time
VOLBEAT - The Gates of Babylon
GUNS N' ROSES - Pretty tied up
DISSECTION - Maha kali

(Missing songs from two participants).

So today's tune "Full Throttle" was played by twice during this category, a band that I haven't heard before I got the tip from Chief Rebel, thanks man for this. The tune is taken from KRYPTOS 4th album "Burn Up The Night"

KRYPTOS is a heavy metal band from Bangalore, India, formed in 1998 by Nolan Lewis (vocals/guitars) and Ganesh K. (bassist). They have long been considered to be one of the true spearheads of the Indian metal revolution upholding the old school metal ethos laid down by the 80's NWOBHM/Thrash movements. Since their inception, the band has released four albums. Spiral Ascent in 2004, The Ark of Gemini in 2008 through Old School Metal Records, California, The Coils of Apollyon in 2013 and Burn Up The Night, the last two through AFM Records, Germany

...så nära att vi krockade ändå - innan jag valde Kryptos hade jag just "Multiple Thruths"!
Tack för en kanonkväll. Blir kul att läsa din sammanfattning över ett par inlägg.
