16 Horsepower - Black Soul Choir

After a hard time and I mean musically, it feels really really nice to play some different stuff, like 16 Horsepower, with their alternative country rock, makes one think of other things. Right now I have some big financial decisions to take, I need to buy a new PC and soon, a new TV. On television market today, its a whole jungle of models and types, LCD, LED, Plasma, how will this end and what the hell should I choose, that is the big question, i have no idea. The computer's choice was quite simple, it will be as before a new or newer Mac. Enough of this ....

16 Horsepower are a Denver-based alternative country band revolving around the unique songwriting and singing of David Eugene Edwards. The band also consisted of Jean-Yves Tola and Pascal Humbert (formerly of the band Passion Fodder).

The band made its name with their country-rock and the serious in tone in the lyrics. After releasing four studio albums and touring extensively, the band broke up in 2005. The members remain active in the groups Woven Hand and Lilium.

Yours Truly, a 25-track retrospective that featured a collection of 12 “popular favorites,” all of which were chosen by fans via an online survey, as well as a second disc that included 13 B-sides and rarities, was released in January 2011.

Todays tune "Black Soul Choir" is taken the first full-length studio album "Sackcloth 'n' Ashes". It was released in 1996.
