TAIGA WOODS is a Norweigan foursome rock band that plays deliciously polished 70’s style of the eclectic brand of heavy. Incorporating stoner rock, prog, psych and a whiff of doom. On top, you’ve got those catchy vocal harmonies.
Hell yeah, all the ingredients to create something interesting for me to pick up in the flow of bands that passes my stream of music every single day. TAIGA WOODS self-titled hits the ground and captured our hearts with its addictive blend of DOZER-style rhythms, the happy marriage of stoner rock with doom metal sensibilities, and those oh-so-catchy choruses and maintains a surprisingly driven and unrelenting pace throughout this wonderfully crafted debut.
References to some more known act can be made, then I would say the energy from TRUCKFIGHTERS, the hard parts and the vocals from BOMBUS, and the harmonies from CHURCH OF THE COSMIC SKULL, kinda good mix indeed.
