De Underjordiske - Flænger i Luften

The story of DE UNDERJORDISKE is a marvelous, metamorphic one. Three men who barely performed or played music, starts a band with a cleared musicality. A couple of years later, they play at Roskilde and released an album that got banned on the radio.

DE UNDERJORDISKE plays Danish-language rock, combining the 80's guitar pop with the 60's psychedelic sound patterns. The songs pendulate between captivating up-tempo numbers and massive melodies with texts that revolve around liberation, spirituality and love. They are emotional and overground, which draws threads to the lyrical tradition of the 60's and romance.

The two guitarists, brothers and sisters Kristian and Andreas Bengtsen, started together with singer Peter Kure DE UNDERJORDISKE back in 2012. The crew also consists of Thomas Brandt on drums and Anders Hvass on bass. The group really broke through in 2015 with the debut album "Ind i Flammerne" and has built a solid reputation as one of the country's most prominent live bands. Top performing performances on Skanderborg and Roskilde Festival made a nomination for Danish Music Awards in 2016 as the Danish livelihood of the year.

Today's tune "Flænger i Luften" is the title tune from the latest album by DE UNDERJORDISKE, enjoy!
