Helloween - Future World

Got a little bit inspired by a blog colleague (Chief Rebel Angel at Metalyze) who just run a duel between Helloweens "Keeper Of The Seven Keys part 1 & 2" so I had to pick up Spotify to remember back, these tiles still works today. You can read about the duel here (In Swedish). So today i will take a deeper look on one of them. And i guess i can pop these records at a high volume later on this evening as Thetania is out working with Daughtry at Debaser, i guess she will give you all a report on that tomorrow.

Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 is the second studio album from German power metal/heavy metal band Helloween, released in 1987. It marks the first appearance of vocalist Michael Kiske, and is considered to be one of Helloween's best albums, credited by many to be the birth of power metal.

Todays tune "Future World" was released as a single and a music video (omitting over 8 minutes of the song) was made for "Halloween". The band originally planned to release Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 and Part 2 as a double album, but their record label refused, insisting that the albums be released separately.

The single cover is a homage to the comic book hero Judge Dredd.

Future World is performed frequently by Helloween and Gamma Ray at their concerts, and is usually used for crowd participation, usually with the crowd singing the first verse, sometimes after the singer shouts the first phrase. Also there is a certain "game", that when the band jams, the singer signals the crowd to shout: "We all live in future world" a few times near the end of the song.

I wont be quiet! Keeper 1 is the 3 studio album. 8) Helloween, Walls of Jericho and then Keeper 1.

It is however the second full lenght, since the debut was a "mini":lp (5 songs).
