Lee Aaron - Tom boy
The Canadian rock queen Lee Aaron gears up for the March 25th release of an album that's ready to ignite her career, "Fire And Gasoline"!
About the album she says: "Fire And Gasoline is a rock n' roll record, and I think it would have been a huge mistake to make an album that sounds like something I did before."
"Tom boy" was inspired by her daughter. "In the history of Lee Aaron, I've always embraced themes of female empowerment. I look at my daughter and I see that she just marches to the beat of her own drum. Me and her are kind of in the same place right now."
Lee Aaron (born Karen Lynn Greening, July 21, 1962) is a Canadian rock and jazz singer. She had several hits in the 1980s and early 1990s such as "Metal Queen", "Whatcha Do to My Body" and "Sex with Love".
Aaron's debut 1982 album The Lee Aaron Project on Freedom Records (later reissued on Attic) featured a who's who of the Toronto music scene, with members of MOXY, Riff Raff, Santers, and TRIUMPHs Rik Emmett.
Today's tune is the first video from Lee Aaron's upcoming release, "Fire And Gasoline", March 25, 2016. Directed by Brian Sword.

Drowning Pool - By The Blood
Texas heavy rockers DROWNING POOL have released their new and sixth studio album "Hellelujuah" on February 5. The follow-up to 2013's "Resilience" was recorded with renowned producer Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL).
"By the Blood" is the first single and today's tune from the album, was released on November 19, 2015, while the album artwork was revealed the following day.
In January 2004, the band announced the addition of singer Jason "Gong" Jones. Their sophomore effort, "Desensitized", followed several months later. In 2006, Ryan McCombs assumed the vocal duties, and a year later they released "Full Circle", followed by a self-titled album in 2010. McCombs, the only singer to ever record more than one album with the group, departed the following year, and was replaced by SUICIDE HOOK vocalist Jasen Moreno, who made his official debut on "Resilience".
DROWNING POOL is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas in 1996. The band was named after the film The Drowning Pool. Since its formation, the band has consisted of guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce, as well as a revolving cast of vocalists. The band's current vocalist is Jasen Moren
Today's tune "By The Blood" is off Drowning Pool’s new album "Hellelujah"

The New Regime - We Rise, We Fall
Multi-instrumentalist Ilan Rubin is best known for his work with NINE INCH NAILS, LOSTPROPHETS, ANGELS & AIRWAVES and a brief stint with PARAMORE. But it can be argued that his best work happens when this one-man-band is fronting—and backing THE NEW REGIME.
THE NEW REGIME is out touring as support for THE USED and did a show yesterday at Klubben here in Stockholm. An interesting combo of many genres rock in a pretty nice package. Together on tour he has his Brother Danny Rubin on bass and drummer Hayden Scott (AWOLNATION, FILTER)
Today's tune "We Rise, We Fall" is taken from album "Exhibit B", which Rubin wrote and recorded almost entirely while touring with NIN in 2013-14. Given what his night job was at the time, you might expect the results of his daylighting to sound Trent-influenced. Perhaps you’ll find some of that in there, but you may be more immediately struck by the old-school classicism of Rubin’s approach.
