Trivium - In The Court Of The Dragon

Saturday and the days are counting down for Christmas and soon a New year is here. Many things are going to happen. The annual countdown of the best albums is in the pipeline. Working on the definitive list atm. It will be wonderfully scattered in the usual order.

Where many want to share a place, lots of new records have come in during the year that this will not be easy to crown a winner to be presented on New Year's Eve and a "Best Off" on New Year's Day.

Unfortunately, there are some records that may be obvious to many but unfortunately have not been picked up by me for some reason that I can not explain, where we have a band that will be today's tune of the day.

TRIVIUM is one of them, dunno really how I could miss this one. Guess the noise in the airwaves is strong and when there are lots of new records, it's easy for some to stay. I'm sorry for that.

Anyway, "In The Court Of The Dragon" is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band TRIVIUM. It was released on October 8, 2021, through Roadrunner Records and was produced by Josh Wilbur.

In June 2020, guitarist Corey Beaulieu revealed the band is already working on the follow-up to "What The Dead Men Say" while being in COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, saying the material they've been working on sounds "really pissed-off." And I can only agree that this is a pissed-off album, been spinning it on Spotify while working on the list.

Today's tune "In The Court Of The Dragon" is the title track of the album, the Video was directed by Ryan Mackfall and the Executive Producers: Chris Brown, Justin Arcangel & TRIVIUM. Filmed on location in Cornwall, UK. Enjoy!
