Kaizers Orchestra - Hjerteknuser

"Hjerteknuser" is a song by the Norwegian rock band KAIZERS ORCHESTRA, released as single on 28 October 2010 and on their sixth studio album "Violeta Violeta Volume I", released January 31, 2011. The song is written by the band's vocalist Janove Ottesen and is the group's second single from "Vol. 1". The single was ten weeks on the VG list in 2010-2011 with number nine as best place.

A version of the song was used for the final sequence in Stian Kristiansen's film, "Jeg reiser alene", which was premiere February 11, 2011.

Violeta, Violeta tells the story of Violeta and her parents Kenneth and Beatrice. When Violeta was 7 years old, her father took her with him and escaped away from her mother. In sorrow, Beatrice cries a bucket of tears every year.

Seven buckets later, Beatrice is still in search of her lost Violeta, and "Hjerteknuser" depict the longing and despair of mother and daughter. Violeta remembers episodes of childhood while trying to reach out to her mother through her mind. In the music video, Ane Dahl Torp plays the role of the vodka-shooting and pumporgan-playing Beatrice.
