Band of Skulls - The Devil Takes Care of His Own

 

Then it was Monday again. Really feel that I need a little kickstart to get going, do not know if the age is starting to beat up ... but a little towing in the headphones is essential if one is to function as an ordinary person. Today I listened to an record named "Sweet Sour" that swings pretty good. It's an English alternative rock band from Southampton called "Band of Skulls" that's is behind it. The band consisting of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals), Emma Richardson (bass, vocals), and Matt Hayward (drums).

The music is quite rough from time to time, messy garage rock, but some tracks are chill, right nice with some folk influences and vocal harmonies.

Oh yes, it's on Vinyl!

Todays tune "The Devil Takes Care of His Own", the first single to be taken from the second studio album "Sweet Sour", it was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. It is produced by Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy) who also produced their debut album. It got released on 21 February 2012.
