Far East Movement - Like A G6

About a week ago, it was dance night at the Annexet here in Stockholm, when the Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour passed Sweden. Artist like LMFAO and Far East Movement where are the main attraction on this tour. My involvement in this was to run follow spots on these guys during the show. It's quite fascinating that this type of entertainment draws so many people. It is crowded of dancing souls at Annexet and it pounds on heavely from the speakers. This time there are no pictures that are worth to publish here. But found some online that I can share with you.

Today, we begin by presenting one of two bands that were on this tour. First out is the electro-hip hop quartet Far East Movement, all the way from downtown Los Angeles to perform smashes form their electro-bounce hip hop album Free Wired including "Rocketeer" and “Like A G6”. The group formed in 2003 and consists of Kev Nish (Kevin Nishimura), Prohgress (James Roh), J-Splif (Jae Choung), and DJ Virman (Virman Coquia). Far East Movement's first claim to fame was their song "Round Round" featured in the Hollywood movie, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and its subsequent soundtrack, video game and DVD. The upcoming 2012 studio album Dirty Bass featuring vocals from Justin Bieber on the lead single "Live My Life".
