The Swedish rockers CORRODED have released "Cross", a brand new single and video taken from the upcoming fifth studio album "Bitter", set to be released January 26, 2019, via Despotz Records.
"Cross" is a harder and tougher tune that we are used to hearing from the Swedish dudes.
It has been almost 5 years since CORRODED recorded their latest album, but due to record company replacement, the album was not released until last year. Since then, the band has recovered lost time, which has meant a lot of touring. How fun it may be to travel around the world and play for their loyal fans, the band was aware that they needed to make a new album as soon as possible so as not to lose the drive again.
This gave the band extreme time pressure. With just a handful of song ideas and only one weekend to write new material, the odds did not look very good for the band yet.
"We made three songs that weekend and together with the rest of the ideas we had, we began to build on what would be the finished album." - says guitarist Tomas.
"It was not particularly difficult to find the topics when we finally started writing the texts. The breakthrough with our first record label and the political state in the world made us all annoyed and angry. The album title came very easy and is the perfect summary word for how we have known the past few years. Now we feel it's time to move on and there's no better way to do it than to create a hard-striking metal album, "says Jens, lead singer, and guitarist.
"We started very stressed and we were not even sure if we would get the album ready on time, but we did not do it well on time, it came out much better than we had hoped for! It's brutal, honest, melodic but also edgy. It's CORRODED and it's BITTER! "- Jens, Per, Bjarne, and Tomas.
Today's tune "Cross" is the first single of CORRODED’s upcoming 5th album BITTER which is set for release on 26.01.2019. This is the first out of a trilogy of videos produced by Bullsize Productions.
