THEORY OF A DEADMAN are in making of their follow-up to 2014’s "Savages". They have released two covers sofar, where we see a softer approach to music, they covered Leonard Cohen‘s "Hallelujah" prior to his passing last year and have offered up another stripped down, emotion cover song with STINGs "Shape of My Heart", today's tune.

The Canadian melodic mainstream rockers stay true to the original version but with a small modern twist. Enjoy Thursday Cover.

Theory of a Deadman - Angel

THEORY OF A DEADMAN is a Canadian rock band from Delta, British Columbia. Another Mainstream rock band that is very Radio friendly. The band formed in 2001, the band is currently signed to Roadrunner Records as well as 604 Records. The band also includes traits of other music styles, such as country and acoustic, as well as their post-grunge and alternative rock base. They have had a total of eight top 10 hits on the US Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including two No. 1 hits, "Bad Girlfriend" , "Lowlife".

Today's tune "Angel" is the third single on THEORY OF A DEADMANs fifth studio album "Savages". The single was released on February 24, 2015.

"Angel" is a ballad about a man who's in love with an angel but realizes that he eventually has to let her go. Randy Shatkowski of Underground Pulse describes the song as an "electronic-tinged lost love ballad" and noted Tyler Connolly's vocals to be his most vulnerable yet.

Black Stone Cherry - Me And Mary Jane

The American Blues Rock band Black Stone Cherry recently released a new tune "Me and Mary Jane", taken from the upcoming album "Magic Mountain", set to release in May.

The band was formed in 2001 in Edmonton, Kentucky. They are signed to Roadrunner Records. The band consists of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jon Lawhon (bass guitar, backing vocals), and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals). Black Stone Cherry have released three studio albums: Black Stone Cherry (2006), Folklore and Superstition (2008), Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2011) and three EPs, and have charted eight singles on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Their fourth album Magic Mountain is set to be released in May 2014.

Black Stone Cherry opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company on their co-headlining tour. The band headlined the second stage at Download Festival in June 2013. The band recorded in fall 2013 and on 4 February 2014 and announced their new album Magic Mountain would be released on May 6th 2014. Black Stone Cherry will headline a UK tour with Airbourne and Theory of a Deadman in October and November 2014

Todays tune "Me And Mary Jane" is the first single taken from the upcoming album "Magic Mountain". First clip is Black Stone Cherry performing "Me And Mary Jane" live at Planet Rock.
