Best Albums 2020 - Top 50 - (50 - 41)

Now we are close to the end....of this freaking shitty year! It's December 18th, no snow, plus degrees, no winter, it's dark and I have no job, it really sucks, to be honest. But to spread some joy, I thought I would offer an album list with the best albums for this very musical year.

As usual, I have spent more money than I can afford on records. But hey, you only live once. A rule to qualify for the Album list is that I must own a physical copy, NOT a digital edition. That makes things a little easier to choose, but on the other hand, it might be so that a few might drop out as well. I would also like to point out that this list is my choice, no one else's. If you agree or disagree with my choices, feel free to leave a comment.  

That said, let's move on with the first batch.

These are this year's best albums between 50 - 41. Where you get the first 10 at once. 

50. DEFTONES - Ohms 

An excellent album by DEFTONES, where they devour the days ahead. The ohm is a measurement of electrical resistance, while "OHMS" is an acronym for the phrase "On Her Majesty's Service" or "On His Majesty's Service."

48. ELDER - Omens 

A great album, where they take a step in a new direction. 

47. DOPELORD - Sign Of The Devil 

Tune low, play slow and heavy and let the demon slowly get up close, and when the time is right, beat their sharp claws hard and deep in your human body.

46. BLACK CROWN INITIATE - Violent Portraits Of Doomed Escape 

"Violent Portraits Of Doomed Escape" is an excellent album, what impressive musicianship they obtain, brilliant songwriting and I love their mix of the technical brutality and the depth in the melody which is really emotionally compelling.

Still another strong outing from THE OCEAN. 

44. ENSLAVED - Utgard 

Norway's avant-garde metal heroes ENSLAVED continue to exist as one of the most dependable components in extreme metal's indestructible backbone.
