DÖDA HAVET conveys their depiction of the reality we know mixed with their own experiences, on a framework of melancholy rock, which sometimes diverges into progressive parts.
What initially started as a studio project soon developed into a fully-fledged band in 2015. It consists of Garde Lindholm (guitar), Julia Stensland Vinrot (keyboard), Martin Pettersson (drums), Lawrence Mackrory (bass guitar) and Staffan Stensland Vinrot (vocals/guitar/songwriter), who have all featured or are still featuring in different constellations on the music scenes in Uppsala and Sweden. Some of those are BESVÄRJELSEN, LASTKAJ 14, and F.K.Ü.
After the acclaimed, eponymous debut record and a handful of live gigs, the band has stayed away from the stages and instead fully indulged in the creative process with the goal to make a strong sequel, which will take you on a journey through several stages of emotion.
DÖDA HAVET wants you to bring something back with you when you return to the surface, something which actually means something to you.
Today's tune "Arcana" is the second single from DÖDA HAVETs new album "Tid Och Rum", released via record label Gaphals on the 28th of August, 2020 on 180g Vinyl and Digital format.
