Its Thetania week :D

Im showing some of my thingies that I also like beside hard F***ing rock..

Today its time for a Great guy that I encoundered in the late 90´s, cos of his sisters.

Eagle-Eye Cheery!
His father was Don Cherry a jazz artist.
His mother is Monika Cheery (born Karlsson) a painter.

He had some known siblings, the singer Neneh Cherry (half-sister)

and the singer Titiyo (steph-sister)

Whom I dearly respect, great voices both of em.

Neneh´s best song (what I think) is "7 Seconds" tillsammans med Youssou n´Dour.
Titiyo´s Breaktrough song was "Talking to the man in the moon" But I liked "Come Along".

He was born in Sweden, but then when he was sent to school in New York.
Later on he went back to Sweden.
Got a big hit with his album "Desireless" he got so much work after that album so he worked
it was unbeareble. He still does music and really good songs.
Do listen to his new´er tunes as well, sutch as "Can´t Get Enough" 

Just wanted to put a big HELLO YOU GUUYS for him cos he is awesome!!!

Dregen - Flat Tyre On A Muddy Road

A new week and as every Monday a new record is crowned out to wear the title "Record Of The Week" here at Tune Of The Day. This week there will be a domestic release by a pretty famous guitarist.

My Lord Sweet Satan this is a awesome debut album by Dregen, knowns as the guitarist in Michael Monroes solo band, also guitarist in the now hibernation rock band Backyard Babies and The Hellacopters.

The new album has some very excitement set of solid rock tunes and will knock your bloody socks off! The thing that I really like with this dude is that he goes his own way and do not ride on past merits or exploits old colleagues to get a sale pitch on names, but drive on a little bit on the edge, a bit crazy on thin ice and it works, just listen to today's tune, where he collaborates with Titiyo, odd, but genius. He possesses a voice that is far more than I would expect it be. The music spawns between classic rock, blues and even a rock disco tune has crossed the net. This is a confident solo debut.

Pär Wiksten (The Wannadies) who produces and plays on every song and Christina Wiksten (who sings backing vocals)

Todays tune "Flat Tyre on A Muddy Road" is a delta blues inspired tune with a hell of a groove, a unexpected delight.
