Clawfinger - Save Our Souls

After more than four years of silence they are back with a new single!

They are something like the Crossover Rock scene ´s hit smithy and are a legend already. During the 90es they not only had worldwide hits with songs such as "Nigger", "The Truth" or "Do What I Say", they have also been a social critical voice of what was moving society and have been talking what a full generation has thought: CLAWFINGER have been pioneers to the Crossover scene and have been considered as Europe ´s answer to RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.

After a few years of silence around CLAWFINGER, the Scandiavians are now back with a new single and in exactly the strength and eloquent power that has always been standing for them: "Save Our Souls" is the title of the new single being released on 4th August. Again the band finds clear words on it: "The song is about how trumpism turnst he world into a cesspool full of fucking heartless piss", the band says. They find clear words against the neo-nationalistic govering of US president Donald Trump. "How can someone put a logic on certain ethnics, religions or sexes having certain traits of character and how can someone blame them for the world going wrong? How regressive and ridiculous ist hat? There are idiots in all shapes and colours, same as heroes, and if we aren ´t standing together, the world will be fucked".

With their single CLAWFINGER find a clear and loud statement after their four years´ break in which the musicians have been taking care of their families and their lifes beside music. "CLAWFINGER no longer is our main job. We all have other jobs and families to love..."

CLAWFINGER have played more than 1000 shows until now and they have released seven albums. "Save Our Souls" is available in all common download shops.

Clawfinger - Biggest & The Best

Today Im going to break some thingies here :)
We usually do classics on sundays but I saw a video on a friends FB, and I really loved it.

This is a Swedish rap/metal, kinda industry metal music, that I really like. They have cocky lyrics and good ones too.

For givin u an example this is the beggining of this tune, its sorta sarcastic :D

"Nobody is perfect but I'm pretty fucking close
and I'm here to give you all a heavy heavenly dose
I think you'd better listen 'cos I know who you are
and I think that you should treat me like a superstar
because I'm more than just a human I'm a gift to all of you
and I'm here to make sure that my message gets through
I wonder if you're really all as dumb as you look
or are you smart enough to learn the rules in my book
I hope you understand that the knowledge I bring
puts me in the position of a god or a king
'cos I'm blessed with the gift of the magic touch"

Clawfinger are currently working on a re-recording of their debut album Deaf Dumb Blind. The plan is to re-record all the songs from that album and bring in guests. Zak Tell has stated they were speaking with the members of Rammstein and Peter Tagtgren from the bands Pain and Hypocrisy.

Current members are,
Zak Tell on Lead vocals, lyrics
Jocke Skog on Keyboards, vocals
Bård Torstensen on Rhythm guitar
André Skaug on Bass
Micke Dahlén on Drums

Okey lets DIG!

Cheers, Thetania

Raubtier - En Hjältes Väg

For over a week ago, Debaser, Stockhom got a visit of Pain & Raubtier who made their last and final gig on the "Griståget tour" (Pigtrain tour). The name of the tour is a celebration of Pain and Raubtiers old heroes. The name "Griståget" (Pigtrain) was a tour collaboration in 1993 between Eddie Meduza and Svullo. The name was a travesty of "Rocktåget" (Rocktrain).

Toys, Toys, Toys, it was something that popped up everywhere when the Raubtiers stuff came up. Radio controlled airplanes, tanks ... a whole fucking toy shop ... haha. To spend one gig days pay in a toy store is pretty crazy, there is probably no one else who does this besides just Raubtier. A bit crazy, but really wonderful guys, you know one of those few.

Their performance was really good, extremely good response from the audience who sang along to every line of text, shaking their fists and shouted right where it would be, in other words, a perfect band to warm up before the main act.

During their gig did they got accompanied on stage by the band Pain, André Skaug (bassist from Clawfinger), Pär Sundström (bassist from Sabaton) and Joakim Broden (singer from Sabaton), resulting in a huge boost to the audience and Raubtier.

A little funny detail was at Changeover when Raubtiers gadgets should get down from the stage and Pains stage be prepared, there was one of the members of the Sabaton (no names mentioned) in the way all the time, all the time is well to exaggerate, but it was kind of funny when we ran into each other all time, at one point I thought he fitted well to will the first camouflage holder (Rabutier had two large cammo nets hanging over the scene), it was a very interesting sight, suited well with Sabaton :-)

This time I was unfortunately unable to photograph the gig, so you simply have to make it with my before the gig pictures and then i have some pictures from the festival photographer Jasmin Wikström.

Todays tune "En Hjältes Väg" taken from their second album Skriet från vildmarken - 2010. Its a kinda cool "Viking Video" were the hero is played by Martin "E-type" Eriksson.

Talked with Hulkoff during the day and he told me some secrets about next year, one thing was about an upcoming tour...

The band have had some trouble to find the perfect bas player, but it looks like they have finally find the perfect match.

Current line up is:

Pär Hulkoff - Vox, guitar
Mattias "Buffeln" Lind - drums
Jonas Kjellgren - bass, background vox (bass player nr 5)
