"D.o.a" is a tune by the American hard rock band VAN HALEN and is taken from the second studio album "Van Halen II", released on March 23, 1979. As of 2004, it has sold almost six million copies in the United States.

It's a tune that first saw it's lite on the demo that was sent to Warner Brothers. The lyrics were in some instances completely different from the final version, and some parts that were mumbled, that could be the reason why it wasn't on the first album.

The tune is written by and Edward Van Halen.

Today's version is by the American stoner rock band FU MANCHU, taken from the EP "The Hung Out to Dry". It was released in 2006 on Liquor and Poker Music/Century Media Records. It contains a CD with four songs and a 7" with two songs. Both are in one special package called "The Deuce". It looks basically like a double-LP but is single-sized. The artwork was by John McGill who later designed We Must Obey.
