New Zealand-born singer Jon Stevens of Māori descent. Stevens is the brother of New Zealand Idol judge, Frankie Stevens. He is best known for his work with NOISEWORKS and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
Jon Stevens is recognized as one of the most talented rock musicians to emerge from Australia in recent memory. In 2016 he joined forces with legendary musician, songwriter and producer Dave Stewart (of EURYTHMICS) to record a new album, "Starlight". The first single and today's tune “Hold On” is classic powerhouse Jon Stevens. The album also features Ringo Starr on one track ‘One Way Street’. Vanessa Amorosi also appears on the record. The album was released Friday 31 March.
"Starlight" is a true and deep look at the life and influences of the artist. The album explores the themes of mortality, striving for a better day and falling in love. The soulful artistry of "Starlight" has been met with critical acclaim.
Jon Stevens has spared no expense for his latest album "Starlight" with a Hollywood-sized video for the first single "Hold On", see it below. The video, shot in the Mojave Desert in California’, was directed by Jesse Davey who previously worked with Daryl Hall on Live From Daryl’s House.
