Lotta talks about the new album:
“Becoming a mother has given me an enormous amount of strength and inspiration. This album took a short time to make. It was like a tornado carried me away. We had so much fun recording it and I´m glad that the humour and playfullness made it through to the final mix. Many of the songs where written under and after my pregnancy and talks about my child, cancer and alcoholism. At the same time I talk about letting go of things beyond your controll and just let them happen.
This is music from a new Lotta Wenglén that threw herself into a crazy production idea and where able to pull it through thanks to the musicians by her side. On the album you can also hear Erika Rosén, Cecilia Nordlund, Sofia Härdig and Katharina Nuttall who also mixed two of the songs on the album.”
Today's tune ”Ginger” is really a beautiful thing, where the sounds of blues is heard clearly. She plays this tune with a fearless attendance and grabs the listener on a remarkable way, almost spellbinding one.
Closing my eyes and feels how i riding along in wagon on a bumpy road in the southeast of Mississippi.
Now, if we should draw any references to something, then is Anna Ternheim close. This is good, really good.
