Today it's time to present category two: (Summer) from the annual hard rock evening.

This category was actually pretty fun, Summer well that should be pretty easy to set. My choice fell on rockers CLUTCH and the tune "Electric Worry". Blues, Rock with an marvelous groove could easy be the most played tune during summer time for me.

Today's tune "Slave to the Grind" is the title tune from the second studio album, released on June 11, 1991. The tune was selected by Chief Rebel, Can't be king of the world, If you're slave to the grind. (The one and only tune to play when vacation starts).

Summer Holiday

Monday and Tune Of The Day will take a Summer break. We will be back In August again.


First of all I would like to thank you all for reading, comment, like and follow this blog, it really give my soul some steam, THANK YOU ALL! I hope that I will gain allot of new energy to keep this up with new interesting music, reports and cool pictures :) I hope as well that Record Madness will be back soon again with a new letter, I know that my partner in crime have a record collection that grows fast for every week that goes, anyway, the ball is at his court atm. The last two months have been really crazy on my part, doing festival after festival and I haven't got enough time to do any reports of them, hopefully a recap will come after this break with some pictures and stories, yes I do have allot to tell, not really sure were to begin :).

Anyway, take care of yourself, your friends and families and see you guys soon! Now I will focus on all the new ice creams and try all the new summer beer that has come this year.

Avicii - Wake Me Up

Hey, then we were back again, two glorious weeks in the north where the sun never sleeps among mosquitoes and gnats. Absolutely wonderful with the calm and quietness that is up there in the north. Took out an extra holiday week from the blog because of all the work that just fell into my lap when I got home, more about that tomorrow.

The music has been close to our hearts even here, you've probably figured it out already. But it has been much more spartan than what you are used to, the music has been played from the car stereo, the little portable beach radio from early 80s to the kitchen stereo from the 70's, which also has a vinyl player from Tandberg :)

 Thought kick off the blog with allowing the little creatures at home choose today's song. The fact that it was a song that spun on the radio more than once per day was quite expected, but promise you anything, keep it even if I personally do not jump with both feet together. A lot has happened while we've been gone, a new challenge in Record Madness has arrived, this time I'll should take care of the letter "F" will be interested, though, this have to wait until it has calmed down a bit.

The kids favourite this summer is Tim Bergling, or Avicii with the tune Wake Me Up. The song featuring vocals from Aloe Blacc and work from Incubus' Mike Einziger. It was released in June 2013 as the first single by Avicii from his upcoming debut studio album True, which is set to be released on September 17, 2013. Avicii did also perform at Bråvalla earlier this summer.

John Mayall - Vacation

Today, we take a little vacation, that means there will be no record of the week today, there will be no Tune Of The Day tomorrow, because we are on a beach and soaks in the sun and maybe sipping on a juicy umbrella drink, relaxing and reading a book, listening to some good music and paint a little.

We are back again in a few weeks when the steam is returned, the bodies are really tanned, plenty of mosquito bites and a network that works.

In closing, we need some tones that suites in with this, so why not some lovely Blues with John Mayall.

Todays tune "Vacation" is taken from his 1968 album "Blues from Laurel Canyon" It was his first album after the breakup of his band the Bluesbreakers on 14 July 1968. It was also his last album with Decca before moving to Polydor.
