Rotten Mind - City Rats

The Swedish rockers ROTTEN MIND will serv us with a tune "City Rats" for this friday. A band that combining elements of 70’s punk, post-punk and garage rock.

"City Rats" is taken from the bands fourth full length album "Rat City Dog Boy". As one of the four original bands affiliated with Lövely Records, ROTTEN MIND had released three studio albums; “I’m Alone Even With You” (2015), “Rotten Mind” (2017) and “Fading Into Oblivion” (2018), their style evolving from the early, fairly frantic, punk thrash of their debut through into more mainstream indie-rock, and it was this mix that ROTTEN MIND displayed when doing live performances in Australia, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, UK, USA, Spain and Czech Republic.

With “Rat City Dog Boy”, ROTTEN MIND return to their musical roots. There are a few new influences in there, to create an album that sounds mostly vintage 70’s punk that to me will appeal mostly both fresh and vintage, making the band more appealing to old-school punks than to broader indie-rock fans.

ROTTEN MIND are consisting of:
Jakob Arvidsson (guitar/ vocals),
Rune Strömbom (bass),
Johan Sverredal (guitar) and
Victor Nordin (drums)

ROTTEN MIND was formed in Uppsala, Sweden in 2015.

Today's tune "City Rats", taken from “Rat City Dog Boy”. Video was filmed and edited by Daniel Wiberg. Enjoy!

Priest - The Pit

Today I'm working on the musical dark side, heavy riffs from the Polish pit. Here on Tune Of The Day you will get the total opposite to that.

PRIEST is a synth band that creates music rooted in the vastness of electronic dreams. The goal of their multifaceted prophecy is to safely guide humanity unto the next evolutionary step – the merging with machines.

PRIEST is like a Delorean DMC-12 it will take you back to the colourful future of the '80s. The illusions presented contains everything from symmetric star prisms, a burning escape from the darkness or to break out of your inner prison. Bit by bit, fragments of a puzzle of success story is taking shape. With a mechanical sound, futuristic melodies and a masterful voice, they´ve seduced listeners all over the planet.

Today's tune "The Pit" is taken from the band's debut album "New Flesh", released in 2017. The album is produced by Alpha (ex GHOST) and features a performance by Airghoul (ex GHOST). The recording is mixed by Niklas Berglöf (SLAGSMÅLSKLUBBEN, DEAD SOUL) and is mastered by Magnus Lindberg. "New Flesh" contains 10 tracks that sounds like when 1982 imagine how 2019 should sound like. "The Pit" is released by Lövely Records. Directed by Dan Svan.
